Food was great but service was terrible O was directed to the other side of the bar in the back. I declined so I was seated at least 10 mins before the couple and their child who was seated behind me and of course the got served 1st they had eaten and let the Resturant by the time I got my food and I was basically told I could not afford my food and too order something else when I could have paid the weekly salary of the women who serve me from the cash alone I had in my wallet but I continued to sit there patiently and smiled as I was being looked over.. Treat people the way you want to be treated and never assume anything. I still left them a big tip despite the rude service..

More or less a run-of-the-mill sushi and hibachi place, Miyako is propped up by their customer service, which handled our group of seven with relative ease and was standing by at the ready with separate checks. The praise ends here, though: the sushi was sloppily cut, but was otherwise fresh. Tempura was average, as was the hibachi show. I havent been to more than maybe five of these things in my lifetime, but I was surprised that they brought out the sharp-smelling cleaning materials to clean the hibachi while we were still eating. It was a Saturday evening, so maybe they were trying to stay on top of things. Im not sure whats up with those fried potatoes, but whatever.

Very good food! And for the most part veru good service. The only complaint i would have and why i gave 4 instead of 5 stars is because of an older woman who works here. I received a phone call during our meal and had to get up from table and go outside to talk. I came back inside and i asked where the rest room was at and she was very rude with her answer. Instead of telling me she says "can i help you???" as if she had not already seen me. Which she had. I find it very rude of her to just think i would walk in from off the street and ask for a rest room. But all in all the food was good the price was high but well worth it.

Showed up at 7:15, was told 20 minute wait, after 30 minutes I checked on our status and was blatantly walked away from twice. While waiting for the 3rd time another guy said his 7:00 reservation party was all finally there and ready (all 16 of them). During all of this I heard others being quoted 20 minutes wait time. So basically they knew a huge party was scheduled but told everyone 20 minutes while knowing that was a flat out lie. After wasting almost an hour of our time, all 6 of us left and will not be returning. Ever.

Been looking for a Japanese restaurant to replace shogun for me as Shogun just isnt what it used to be. Did not like kabuki but Miyakos was EXCELLENT. The food was delicious and presented well. The interior is nice, light, and clean. Service was good. Ill be going to Miyako now as my Japanese restaurant of choice in the Montgomery Area.

Had lunch with the gang from work. We did a lot of sampling from what everyone ordered so got a really good feel for the overall experience. We are going back next week for more. I asked for light sauce with some more on the side so it was really fresh and I didnt feel like a nap right after - ha!

Excellent miso soup. I ordered Hibachi Filet and Chicken and my wife ordered Hibachi Shrimp and we both enjoyed every bite of it. They do not give a military discount.
