Cheap if that is what you are looking for. We recently moved to North Carolina and were looking for good Chinese food in the Hendersonville area. We stumbled upon China Garden, and while the staff is nice, I would expect that at any service based establishment. The chicken is nothing but nuggets purchased in bulk. After my order was taken by the only English speaking employee, he handled the money, took other orders etc.. then proceeds to use his bare hands to pick up a handful of nuggets and throw them in the fryer. I am pretty sure that is a health code violation and honestly made me sick. I know that is probably done at a lot of food establishments, however I dont need to see it.

As recent arrivals in Hendersonville, we were anxious to find a quality Chinese restaurant in the area. I am certainly no expert but after trying superb Thai food at Thai Spice, I had high expectations for a similar experience at China Garden. Alas, my sweet and sour chicken was a simple affair of plain white rice next to some chicken McNuggets. A small tub of "pink sauce" provided the flavor. It was about as low a quality as Ive ever found in a Chinese restaurant. Maybe it was the dish I selected but in any case, my wife had a similar "average" or "below average" meal. I would love to try again but China Garden needs to step up its game.

Absolutely amazing !!! The best Chinese Ive had in over 20 years!! I always get nervous buying Chinese food at places Ive never been too !! I gave it a shot after seeing the reviews. I am very happy I did!! I have been craving general tso chicken with white meat and it was awesome!!! It was actually white meat!!! :-) Everything was fresh and cooked well !! Even my youngest daughter liked it !! I have found my new Chinese restaurant!!

I was blamed for not getting my own order correct and was later cussed out by a man that is not of Chinese origin this has actually happened to me twice at this restaurant and I wont go back to be treated so rudely a third time ! Not to mention Ive had better American Chinese food elsewhere , horrible people at this place not worth my time or money ! These people have no manners what so ever !

We get take out from the China Garden almost every week. The food is so clearly fresh, everything is delicious. I love the wonton soup that always has a nice ginger flavor. The sauces are light, the fried items are crispy - never greasy! We truly cannot recommend it enough! Theres only one downside: No Delivery!! If China Garden delivered, wed probably go broke ordering from them!

My father tried to call in an order and pay with his credit card over the phone. They would take the order but they kept telling him that he needed to go there to pay. Hes home bound. I will not recommend this place to ANYONE. I went ahead and got him a pizza from next door at Dominos.

As a former military brat I grew up in Bangkok, Taipei and Hawaii and heavy eating Chinese food and all of these places, as well as Hong Kong. I believe that qualifies me as somewhat of an expert of Chinese cuisine. The food at China Garden is excellent.
