The food is good. I dont recommend ordering a combo dinner with scallops. These meals only come with 3 small scallops. Weve order food to go many times. I also dont recommend ordering meals to go. I use to get so much food in 1 meal thats Id eat half and have enough for lunch the next day. Overtime the portions have gotten smaller & smaller. Tonight I couldnt believe what little we had after spending $35 on 2 hibachi meals. Also, a previous review gave them 4 stars and stated they sometimes serve spoiled beef.....4 stars for spoiled meat?

Not really authentic Japanese. The food often has a strange taste and does not seem to be very good quality. The sushi was really bad and not fresh. The miso soup was OK. They charge almost as much as Sushin in Murfreesboro but the food is no where near as good. Not a good value.

Most of their food is really good, but sometimes the beef is spoiled. That has happened a couple of different times :( I still go there because everything else is really good, and their sushi is pretty good. They are very nice, too, and the place is clean.

Some places are only good some times. Im very pleased with the quality of food everytime! It seems that yammato actually has standards. They are always friendly, professional, and clean. The staff is always cleaning! Thats a good sign that they care.

My mother was visiting from michigan an we ate here yesterday an she had the Salomon sushi an has food posioning from eating their i do not recommend it to anyone an their miso soup is mostly soup an sometimes tofu if your lucky very dissapointed

Food is good but their service is awful and they put their tip on the bill like it was good. And when you ask for an ice water to go since you didnt your waitress most of the time, they wanted to charge 1.60

Best Japanese food in Tennesse. Tried lots of places, but this has been the best. Our dinner cost us what lunch cost us in Maryland. Everything was perfect, food, service and price. Will return often.
