Let me tell you about my experience at Sake in Lebanon, TN. We walk in & even though the restaurant had a solid 2 customers and a bunch of empty tables we got the pleasure to sit at the table by the entrance of the kitchen. The cook in the kitchen that had probably the worst sneezing fit I’ve ever heard. I can only assume from how loud it was there was no coverage from the snot coming out of his nose into the food. Sushi was frozen. Yes the whole sushi roll frozen! The server came back around when we mentioned that the roll was frozen and her response was “it’s still frozen?!” Did I hear that correctly? Still frozen? Sushi should never be frozen! I’m about 95% sure that the sushi that I ordered came straight out of the box at Kroger. She took the sushi away and came back saying that she could get another roll but the guy who makes the sushi rolls is in the back with the inspector. Geez there is an inspector hanging out back there? Of course she did a great job of talking us out of it and responded with “no, don’t worry about it” We then asked “is the sushi fresh?” her response “honestly, I’m not sure”. What? Is this real life. Of course you know! And of course it isn’t! Stay away from the sushi at sake in Lebanon, TN

The food is edible. The place is clean, staff is friendly. 2 starts because the hibachi food is over cooked, and over-glazed. The "steak" is really bland. Tastes more like stew meat or beef tips. The only hot sauce they have is a ketchupy sugary miles sauce similar to Sriracha. Would not recommend. This place is definitely catering to the locals desire for bland typical 1950s American food instead of focusing on making their food have flavor.

Most unfresh sushi Ive ever had. I really felt like eating it was a risk to my health. I ate it, well see how it goes. The salmon was like rubber, and had a brown spot on it. Ive never seen anything like it. Price seemed reasonable, but there is a reason there are no pictures on the menu. Tiny! You need to order 4 rolls to be full. Two days later update: Stomach still feels in knots. Never, ever, ever eat here. Two stars revoked to one star.

Im a server and have served at a sushi restaurant and the prices here are ridiculous for the quality and especially the quantity! Also our server seemed very unhappy to be there. Had to ask someone for a refill when there were only 5 guests in the entire restaurant as she sat across from us and talked to her co-worker. Ill never be back and will make sure I let people know.

The workers were nice the food was ok. Teriyaki sauce was different had more spices then I am used to. The yum yum sauce was really good used it all over my teriyaki chicken and rice since wasnt much teriyaki sauce and it tasted different. Take out orders dont include salad but its not written on the menu. Over all was a decent experience.

The sushi was chewy not fresh and the rice was stale. My steak was bland way over cooked like it sat in a steamer all day, the rice was horrible long grain stuff that has stayed out far to long and crystalized, my wifes chicken was over cooked to the point of near mushiness. I will never return and I do not recommend to anyone.

This is the worst sushi place Ive ever been to. I ordered the salmon nigiri and it was so bad that I could not eat the rest. Salmon is supposed to be bright pink, plump, juicy. This piece was flat, pale pink, and didnt look like fish. I eat sushi all the time, and you know its bad when Krogers sushi beats this place by a ton.

Amazing food and service, great portion sizes, very clean building, fantastic staff! I couldnt find a single thing wrong with anything here and would recommend it to anybody! Definitely going to be a regular place for my family! Looking forward to the next time I go back!

Never again ... has the atmosphere of a military mess hall ... I had the steak & shrimp hibachi ... steak was cooked to the consistency of shoe leather . For those in Lebanon that think this is a good Japanese restaurant ... you really need to get out more often. !!!

Showed up 8 pm and after receiving our tea were informed there was no sushi rice hence no sushi. We were ready to leave and were charged $5 for the tea. I recommend calling ahead if you actually expect to really eat from the menu.

The best yum yum sauce ever, hands down. This is my hibachi go to and has been for years and years. The sushi is also good. Always great service. Thank you Sake for a decade of satisfying cravings and not changing.

Miso soup was way too salty, couldnt eat, complained and of course still be charged for it. Waitress forgot my friends orders. Sushi was acceptable, definitely not the best! Will not come back.

The absolute best Japanese food in Wilson County. If you eat at the hibachi grills the cooks are always very entertaining and funny to watch. The food is served very hot and fresh.

Eaten here many times.. Cant speak for the sushi because I dont eat fish but the hibachi grill is fantastic. Great value as you wont leave hungry. I suggest the Samurai.
