I applied for Olive Garden in Green Bay because I have always loved the food, and loved the warm, welcoming atmosphere. I have been a waitress for 7 years collectively, and spent the last 3 years at Luigis Italian Restaurant in Manitowoc. I worked there for 40+ hours a week, never once missed a shift, never called in, never flaked out on my responsibilities, and even picked up countless shifts for the girls who couldnt work or just didnt want to. Upon leaving Luigis on my last day, my boss commented on how she thought that I was "one of the most reliable and loyal waitresses" she had. Naturally, she would make a great reference for me when applying to other waitressing jobs. Anyway, I applied at Olive Garden, came to my interview, and was wanted on the spot. I spoke to Casey, and he said they liked me and wanted my skill set for their team. I was very excited. A man named Murphy was then in contact with me to set up a date for orientation, after which I could begin my actual training. He was able to set up an orientation date for me that was earlier than previously offered, and I was very grateful for that. However, life happens, and my dog decided to completely soil my back seats with his urine while we were driving back to Green Bay that day. Thinking ahead, I called Murphy and informed him of the situation, stating that I might be a few minutes late to orientation, and that if that would not be OK with them, I would really like to reschedule my orientation. At first, he said that would be fine, but then called me back and told me that he was no longer going to offer me the position. When I asked him why (several times), he repeatedly (and vaguely) told me that he just did not think I would be a good fit for the team. I was very confused, as I was trying to be proactive and trying to let them know I would be late instead of being a flake and not calling them at all. To top things off, I sped the rest of the way to Green Bay and showed up at Olive Garden five minutes earlier than my anticipated orientation start time. I asked to speak with Murphy and whoever else was in charge of treating me so poorly and unprofessionally, and was talked to by a woman named Debbie, who very rudely dismissed me and told me that I was not a good fit before ever getting to know me in any way at all. After breaking into tears and promising her that I was not a flaky person, nor would I be a poor waitress by any means, she still dismissed me and I left. Two weeks later, I decided to give it another shot and reapply. I was very excited when they called me back and Debbie left a voicemail stating that she would like to set up an interview with me. However, I could not shake the thought that they might not have known that it was me they were about to interview again. Once again being the bigger person, I called and asked to speak to Debbie, and I let her know who it was that she was supposed to have interviewed today. She was completely cheerful and kind until she heard my name. Once she knew who I was, her tone switched immediately to dismissive and monotonous, and she told me once again that I was "not a good fit, because the people at Olive Garden are all friendly and they work together." In other words, she again assumed my character before ever giving me a chance to show her how wrong she was. I asked that she call my previous boss from Luigis and ask her for her opinion on my performance during my three years there. She ignored me and told me that "her negative feelings about me were still very much there". Never once have I encountered such a judgmental, disorganized business, and never have I been so poorly and inaccurately judged. I dont recommend the Green Bay Olive Garden as a place of employment for anyone who might have anything unfortunate happen to them in their lives—odds are, if you call them to be proactive and communicative with them, theyll just fire you.

RACISTS! Had a terrible experience here! Came from out of town to Green Bay for the day and decided to eat here before we headed back on the road. Stayed here for about 5 minutes. The middle aged waitress with the dark hair was extremely disrespectful towards us and made us feel very uncomfortable. She kept making comments the entire time we were ordering. I was ordering a drink and asked a question about what type of drink it was and she says out of no where "THERES NO FREE REFILLS ON THAT DRINK!" She had made multiple disrespectful comments before we just got up and left. Clearly she was racist towards African Americans and thought that we werent going to give her a tip. I always tip the waiters/waitresses very well when I go out... guess she wouldnt have found out with the way she was treating us. I notified the manager of the issue before we left the restaurant. He seemed sincere at first. He gave us a $15 gift card before we left. Really? $15? That buys one thing from Olive Garden. Especially with the service that we received here... will NEVER be back! Go to Grazies down the street instead. Much better service there.

There are friends of mine that work at the Olive Garden, and looking at some of the reviews below, there are misconceptions that some people have about this place. As far as some people getting bad service, mistakes happen from time to time, and one server should not be a reason for judging an entire restaurant. Everytime I have gone there, it has been nothing but wonderful. Everybody has different opinions on the taste of things, but the breadsticks are wonderful and tasty, being buttered and sprinkled with garlic salt. The dressing, to most people, does not have an overbalance of vinegar. People actually come to the Olive Garden JUST to pick up some salad dressing. As far as having overpriced food for the amount that you get, How many sit in restaurants give you as much complementary things with an entree as the Olive Garden? Almost everything in the restaurant, including the sauces, are made from scratch in the kitchen. The value, the taste, the atmosphere... everything is fantastic.

Soup was good. Two of us had shrimp scampi. The other had the lasagna. The scampi was very bland and the lasagna was very dry with very little meat sauce. Told the waitress there was so little garlic in the scampi you couldnt even taste it. She said you should have told me if you wanted more garlic. An Italian restaurant with practically no garlic. What a joke. Ordered soup to go. She asked if I wanted a pint or a quart. Told her a quart. She came with a gallon and then picked a fight with me when I said I ordered a quart not a gallon. Said I was was wrong that she came back to the table twice to ask me. She didnt come back to the table until we were ready to go and then brought out the gallon. $54 and $14 more for the soup to go. Thats a little expensive for bland food and a rude waitress. Wont ever go back.
