I have ordered from Salamones almost weekly for years. Everything was basically perfect for years in a row then starting in April 2012 things went down hill and the management of Salamones does not care. They messed up my order 3 weeks in a row without ever offering anything more than "sorry". Everyone makes mistakes but for me the last straw was when they delivered the wrong pizza to my house and when we called to have it corrected they asked for the pizza they had delivered by mistake back so they could deliver it to the right house! I dont know about you but the thought of my food sitting in someone elses house before being delivered to me is disgusting. If they would do this with a delivery who knows what goes on the kitchen. Think about that next time you sit down for a meal or have something delivered...

The food was flavorless. Bland. The filling for the canelonni was ground beef with a touch of fried onion. No pepper that I could taste. A touch of fresh basil, garlic or anything would have been appreciated. The red sauce tasted like it came out of a can, again no fresh herb flavors. They serve bread but no bread plates. And why not wrap up a spoon in your napkins along with the knife and fork. The prices charged could cover those little acoutrements. Not impressed.

When to Salamones to celebrate a friends birthday. We ordered pizza , Portobello ravioli and veal piccata. Everything was wonderful! Salads were crisp, the bread tasted fresh-baked and everyone of us loved our meals. I highly recommend Salamones and will definitely go again.

The Shrimp Pomodoros been my fave over the years; last night my companion got the Chicken Picatta and the sauce was amazing. Fun, rollicking atmosphere on a Saturday night; after dinner we hit the bar for a couple innings of Cubs. Service was top notch all around.

I love this restaurant. The entire staff is great, and the management of the restaurant is superb. The prices are great, and the food is even better. There is not one bad thing on their menu. This is the best Italian Restaurant that I have ever been to.
