Went to the drive thru. The staff seemed annoyed to even have to be taking my order. I ordered two smothered burritos, one sweet pork and one chicken. They asked what kind of beans i wanted, and chose refried. When I got my order they hadnt smothered the burritos, saying that I had not ordered it, even though she asked what type of sauce I wanted and chose red enchilada sauce. When I returned to have it fixed the staff was rude about it. Got home to eat. There was no marking or indication to show which burrito was which. Had to try one to figure out who got what order. The chicken was very rubbery and obviously pre formed and chopped. The sweet pork is SWEET. Im talking candy sweet! I was expecting a hint of sweetness, but this was like someone had poured a bunch of white sugar into my burrito. Ohh, no beans in sight either. Why ask if they dont give you beans? I couldnt detect any in the burrito. Its obvious that everything was from a can or frozen bag. "Inspired by fresh ingridents", indeed. I will not be going back. Better to drive a few blocks to a better restaurant. I always thought Muchas Gracias was good, but kind of bottom of the barrel. That place makes Costa Vida seem like dog food by comarison!

Have tried 3 times - first was the first week, gave them a pass cause theyre new - chicken nachos was a skimpy portion cause it came with a pile of beans and a pile of rice, next time they were out of chicken so I ordered the sweet pork, this time, all nachos, was fine. Today ordered the chicken nachos , had high expectations as the place was empty, surely they will have what we order and cook it according to the menu. HORRIBLE! we paid for an extra guac, but didnt get it, it was basically beans and chips. There was a tiny drizzle of cheese, mostly stuck to the aluminum serving bowl, the chicken was in hunks that were neither tasty nor tender. The quesa was a disgusting color, thick and oily looking and Id wager wallpaper paste would be a fair comparison not only to its texture but also the taste. I know they can do better, the skimpy portion of nachos I got the first time were terrific. Maybe they had a special cook for the opening. Never again. Need consistency in the product. There are plenty of venues for Mexican food, I will go elsewhere.

Unfortunately it doesnt seem they even know what a burrito is or how it is supposed to be eaten. Ordered a build your own burrito, they put in the rice, beans, and meat and then sealed it before toasting it. Then after it was already closed they asked if I wanted sour cream, guac, or veggies. I asked for lettuce, pico, and sour cream; they stuck a wad of sour cream on top and put the veggies on the side. Sour cream on top and veggies on the side?? You dont eat a burrito with a fork, its not an enchilada. I had to pry the, then soaked with melting sour cream, tortilla open and put in the extras. By then my burrito was a soggy disaster. A burrito isnt that hard to make. Its meant to be filled with everything that is to be eaten, and eaten with the hands. Not smothered in sour cream with half the fillings on the side. Also, WAY overpriced. Paid $20 for two burritos with just water. Horrible and idiotic.

I went in and ordered a steak burrito. First thing I realized is that they put your meat, beans and rice in and seal it up right away to toast. Sounds fine to me, but then I realized that nothing else was going in it. I had to ask them specifically for things like cheese, salsa, etc. When I asked for sour cream, they put it on the top of the burrito! Before I even got a chance to start eating it, it melted all over the tortilla and made the whole burrito soggy. My girlfriend ordered the same thing basically, and they put her pico salsa on the side as well, where it immediately soaked the entire tortilla. The main problem with this idea is that the burritos are too tough to be but with a fork, and shouldnt have to be! It cost us $20 for two burritos with waters. We definitely wont be back again until someone teaches them how to properly make a burrito. If you like good mexican food, avoid this place.

We love Costa Vidas steak burritos (always tender and yummy cap steak)! Their food is fresh and (after working out some of their first few months in business hiccups) the taste and product is consistent. We get our food to-go and order at least once a week. One suggestion, if you order in the drive-thru or are getting take-out, have them put their delicious pico in a separate container so it doesnt soggy up your burrito. The majority of the employees are quick and will go out of their way to make your experience good. Join the rewards program if you eat there often, you will earn money off quickly to make a decent dent in your food bill. The inside is nice and open and the setup allows for quick arrangement for larger groups. Their desserts are good and classic Costa style and they have a large assortment of Mexican sodas.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I tried the steak fajita tacos and the small chips with queso. Oh, and a chocolate chip cookie. The tacos were served with flavorful rice and my choice of beans (refried, black, pinto), I got pinto and the entire plate was great. Their lettuce tastes very fresh and the steak is definitely great quality. When I saw the chips and queso I was a bit concerned about the size of the queso, it looked small compared to the amount of chips. But sure enough, the queso wasnt even halfway gone when the chips were finished. The queso has so much flavor, especially coupled with the taste of the chips, that a little bit goes a long way. The cookie was good, not great. Very chocolatey and the edges were soft but tasted overcooked. Overall, amazing place and I will definitely be returning.

Been here many times we really like the steak tacos. When they first opened they were good and the staff was friendly. For the past few months we have been unable to order the steak tacos as they are ALWAYS OUT and refuse to make anymore. We normally order 5-6 of them and this was the fifth time in a row (i was counting) they were out. I offered to wait 20-30 minute if they would just make some they said no. Being we normally get off work around 7:30pm it seems if they run out anytime around then they will not make any! Same with there chicken soup we have only had that twice since its always out as well. Because of this we have basically given up and go else where or even better make our own when we have the time.

Great food as always! But today I especially want to say great owners. Tonight I had the chance to meet Scott, one of the franchise partners. I had a great conversation with him, while the staff prepared my meal to go, and then I headed out the door. When I got to my car I realized I had forgot one of the meals I was supposed to order. I went back inside and got in line. Scott saw me and asked what I needed. He pulled me aside, told the cashier my order, washed up and PERSONALLY made my forgotten meal. Talk about great service, great leadership and a great experience. Truly impressive and extremely grateful. Thanks Scott and the amazing Costa Vida team. See you again soon.
