If you like Mexican food, you must visit Angel Food & Fun. This is a little hole in the wall attached to a lottery and pool hall. They offer most of the usual Mexican fare and its rather good, but you need to have what makes them unique: Panuchos & Salbutes Ive never heard of panuchos and salbutes, now I cant forget. This is food from the Yucatan and very few places in Portland serve it. At $2 a pop I recommend getting at least 2 of each. We had both the chicken and beef panuchos and salbutes. We loved both for different reasons. The beef was delicious with onions and cilantro. The chicken was equally delicious with a small slice of avocado, jalapeno, tomato and bright pink pickled onions. This is a meal you dont want to miss. Warning: CASH ONLY They have an ATM in the pool hall, but you know how much ATM fees can be. Come prepared with green. We are very disappointed we live in Beaverton, or wed be there every week.

This place is incredible. Its small and the food takes a while, but when it comes the food is hot, fresh, and full of wonderful flavors. Everything on the menu is delicious- you cant go wrong. The price is right at this place. I fed five dinner for $40 at Angels. The meat is clean- no gristle or fat. And they even grill their asada in cheese for their burritos! If you are in the mood for some Mexican food, explore the Yucatan side of Mexican cuisine. You will not be disappointed.

If I didnt live in the neighborhood I never wouldve discovered this place, and oh boy, Im so glad I do. This is the BEST and most unique Mexican food Ive eaten in Portland. Their Yucatan style food offers dishes that I havent seen anywhere else in town, and are tasty to boot. Its worth the trip, even if you dont live anywhere nearby. This place does not disappoint.

Bummed!!! I was so excited to share the experience with my son, so we ordered 1- 1/2 chicken 1/2 steak burrito which I have ordered for many years. I put down the cash, expecting some change so I had somethed to tip...there was no change.! I guess my special place isnt so great special anymore!

The food is excellent. The menu is unique among regional Mexican restaurants. The ambiance at this location is more evocative of East Austin than North Portland. In this way Angel Food & Fun is great for a quick getaway!

Great food, Ive read the chef here comes from a background of extensive training and high end restaurants and it shows. Restaurant split from the games/drinks gives you a choice of what type of atmosphere you want.

This is the most flavorful, simple food. The burrito is ridiculous. The Chocolomo is my hangover cure. GO GO GO to this quaint spot as soon as you possibly can!
