Im used to authentic mexican food and obviously they have your run of the mill mexican restaurant food... but somethings different... Tonalas just seems to be better. The food is fantastic, the service is incredible and to top it all off... their Pozole is freakin awesome! I was skeptical at first as Ive had a few pozole servings from a few places and they tasted ok but Tonala... man it taste like it was straight from a quincera... seriously love it that much. Only down side is that they only serve it on the weekend but thats cool. The rest of the menu is pretty cool too :)

We had dinner here and had a great meal and wanted to have something offered until 6 pm and we barely were seated by then...but the waiter asked another man there and he said of course you can have it for e discounted. Then we started talking to the second man..he was the owner. He talked and conversed with us quite a bit and even telling about his hometown in Mexico and encouraging us to go and visit there.. we loved him and we highly recommend this place and will go back. Great food, great service and Over the top friendly staff!

This place was very quick service, very sweet waitress, and pretty good food. The other waiter Omar was creepy and I watched him check every single women in the place out UP AND DOWN including myself. My boyfriend noticed and wanted to leave as soon as we got there. Does this guy bot realize people can see him doing that? Lol other then that it wasnt too bad. I like the Mexican restaurant in Graham, better and its only a few miles down the road. Meh.

This was our first time visiting, it definitely wont be the last. The restaurant was clean, I loved the lights and plants. The staff was so friendly and the service was crazy fast! We havent had mexican food this amazing in a few years, the carne asada was so delicious and perfect! This is our new go to place and we are recommending to everyone we know.

Absolutely loved the service and the food! Never knew about this place especially since I live so close.. now its our go to for authentic Mexican food. Tastes just like the Mexican food Ive been used too growing up. Horchata is hella bomb as well! I ordered the Pollo a La Crema and let me tell you its so delicious!

Truths Love

This is my favorite restaurant. From the owner to the wait staff, everyone provides excellent service. The food is ALWAYS delicious. Usually, my husband abd I order carne asada tacos, both red & green salsa or taquitos. Were NEVER disappointed. Cali style! I highly recommend this restaurant.

I honestly have no idea what these other reviews are talking about. Yes, the staff was very courteous and the food came fast, BUT the two times my wife and I went there the food was horrible. We know of two other couples in neighborhood who said the same thing.

This Mexican restaurant is the best authentic place around if you are ever in Spanaway,WA in bethel shopping center tucked in the corner. You have to go. The staff is friendly and food is always hot and they are quick. Plus all the chips you can eat. Sweet.

Dont know why theres boos. But I enjoyed it very much. Maybe the the ones that said the food was nasty havent had authentic Mexican food. This isnt run of the mill Americanized Mexican food. If you like the street taco trucks its like that but 100% better.

They have the best Burrito Fajita here. I always get it whenever I come in and I am never disappointed! The staff is extremely helpful, friendly, and timely. I would absolutely recommend eating here if you are craving some delicious Mexican food!

Slow service but the food was good. Lots of great drink choices on the menu (unfortunately the bartender didnt show up on the day we were there but the waitress did her best and made a pretty good drink.) The green salsa is very tasty.

We have been looking for a great Mexican place since we got here 5 years ago. This place was a hit with the entire family. Clean, friendly, fast service. My glass was never half empty and the food was just like California Mexican food.

Wow, this is authentic Mexican food and the food tastes awesome. I had the mucho combination dinner, taco, tamale and an enchilada all delicious, the rice and beans were excellent as well. My next cheat meal I know where to go, YUM.

Disappointed. My taco salad was mostly rice 1/2 cup of lettus some beans tini pieces of tomato. No olives, no onion, no sour cream, no cheese, no flavor, mainly overcooked rice on a soggy shell. For 10 bucks.

By far the best Mexican food in WA state!!! From the chips and AMAZING green salsa (i bought some for home) to our entrees that were cooked to perfection. I will be back on a by weekly basis for sure.
