Stopped in to get a meal for three of us. Small retro diner with nice soup of the day (mushroom and it was delicious), some steak, burgers and breakfast such as Eggs Benedict, burritos and omeletts. A long list of choices for shakes and ice cream sundaes. If you appreciate old things - you will enjoy the diners black and white tile floors and a long vintage L-shaped Hopper-like counter of nicely cushioned counter stools that have delightful paint-chipped trumpet-shaped metal bases. A hot coffee or old fashioned shake beckons you to sit and relax at this counter. Along a single wall are padded booths up against dark wainscotting. I appreciated the sparce but warm 30s/40 feel. The service was pleasant and very caring and personable. The food was decent. We will be back.

Just ate here tonight 4/18/16, was slow given it was a week night (6 people in the joint) food was pretty good, but our waitress (Veronica) was probably having a bad night because she spilled water on our friends cell phone, didnt refill the cup, didnt offer to clean up the mess nor bothered to offer our friend a rag to clean the water off her dress and phone. On top of that she charged us for food we didnt receive, but thankfully she reversed this when we asked about it. We also never got our dessert dish which at this point I gave up bothering to remind her (went somewhere else to get dessert). Again food was pretty good, but service needs improvement.

Amazing food! Adorable and laid-back atmosphere. Ive come to the Square Knot for first dates, goodbye-lunches, reconnecting brunches, and everything in between with friends. Today was a solo excursion, knowing Id have fast and amazing food in a chill little diner. Never crowded or loud, always cozy, and basically perfect in every way. Highly recommend!!

Greasy diner food at artisan breakfast spot prices. Eggs, hash browns, toast and a coffee ran me 12.50. For that price I could have gotten an incredible breakfast at Geraldines or Hudson. Ive paid half for the same at other diners. Skip this place unless you enjoy over paying for diner quality food.

Tiny dive diner but the food is great. Felt a little understaffed but the waitress was friendly and I wasnt waiting too long. For how good and hot the eggs Benedict was I would definitely go back and recommend this place for a quick bite. How can you say no to all day breakfast.

Stopped in for dessert after walking by and noticing the menu. Wow! Best chocolate malt and banana split Ive had in a long time. The vintage atmosphere and feel definitely brings you back to a different era. The breakfast choices looked amazing. Cant wait to go back and try.

This little diner is probably the best kept secret in Georgetown. Laid back, usually not crowded. Great food, pitchers of beer, and really cool staff. Its not swanky or hip or bursting at the seams like the majority of Georgetowns scene, but it is a great place to unwind.

We had late night dinner at 11:30pm here. Its right next to couple of bars so they open till 2am. Food came fast and delicious!! Server is very friendly as well :D Finding a parking spot could be a little bit challenged, but you should be good after 11pm.

There is no eatery in the region that I have gotten better service at. The staff of Square Knot make the place excellent. The food is good, the price is excellent, but the service is exceptional. I will eat here over most other places in region.

Love going to this place when I get off night shift. Starts serving cocktails and beer at 6am and has a great menu. The open face Turkey is the best Ive ever had and made from scratch. Definitely a place worth checking out.

Great mom and pop diner! Awesome place! Friendly staff with a smile and a lighting fast coffee pot ;-). Try the Figure Eight omelette, spicy. Cool interior. My daughter loves the pancakes and my wife the Eggs Florentine.
