I read all the reviews before I came here. I was invited to go with a friend and decided to give this restaurant a try. I ordered the breakfast country fried steak with scrambled eggs and the huckleberry streusel cake with a huckleberry lemonade. The lemonade was pretty good with chunks of berry in it that sometimes clogs the straw. I enjoyed the country fried steak and gravy, the scrambled eggs were good as well. As many people reviewed, the hash browns had a little too much oil and could have used some more seasoning. The huckleberry streusel cake was pretty good. It was naturally nice and sweet and it came with two little containers of butter that I didnt use since the cake didnt need it. Overall, the food was alright and I did get quite a bit for the small price that I paid. Great prices for all of their food. I took a look at their pies in the display refrigerator and they looked tasty, but I was too full to order anything else. Many reviewers state that there are a lot of elderly people, this may be because the restaurant has been around for a while, or because there is a retirement community nearby, lol. The atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy, decor could use some upgrading. There are lots of air purifying plants along the windows and hanging above. I would go again only if a friend invited me to this restaurant. It was ok.

Worst experience. Should have known when we walked in the door that this was not the place to take an autistic child. If you have grey hair and are grumpy though, this is the spot for you. I understand my child was crying and inconsolable after spilling his rootbeer float, but the waitress asking me in an angry voice to take my child out back to quiet him down ( I guess leaving my other child - age 4, alone at the table) was acceptable to her. Im not sure where out back was? She didnt offer a different seating solution or even point the way. Just swung her hot coffee pot towards the full tables behined us. Maybe I was suppose to walk behind the dumpsters? It was pouring down rain, maybe were were suppose to stand outside in the rain until he got so wet that he cried even more. A better solution would have been to see that I was struggling and asking kindly if they could pack our meal for us to go or offer a table in a different section.

We were going to go to the Pizza Gallery, love their delivery but they do not have any real seating. So we were just driving looking for a place. I dont usually go online to review places good or bad, but I feel compelled to review this one. I had a fabulous hamburger. I think they call it the "best burger". My daughter had fish and chips, my husband had the roast beef dip and my other daughter had the veggie wrap. They also got the Huckleberry Shakes. umm umm. The Huckleberry vinaigrette was fantastic and I don’t even like vinaigrettes usually. All the staff were friendly and pleasant greeting us on arrival as well as when we left. They were not that busy when we were there but I can see their parking holds a lot of cars and I imagine they can get full quickly. Prices were reasonable. Again will come back when I visit Seattle next time.

As a former employee and returning guest Huckleberrys is one of the Best comfort food restaurants. The quality of food vs price is incomparable. Most items on the huge menu are under $10 and all dinner items include soup or salad as an appetizer. The staff especially Lisa and Deanna make you feel comfortable and relaxed while still giving prompt, accurate service. The owner Don has been there since the opening and is passionate about the restaurant which shows. Inside the seating can accomodate anything from 2 tops to 30 tops theres even a bac, "Canoe" room that can be used got more private party seating. Theres Pacific Northwest decor that is awesome to look at and follows suit with the laid back atmosphere. If you havent been, you should! Place is open from 6am to 9pm all week and always busy for breakfast on the weekends.

Recently a friend and I had breakfast at this restaurant, the hash browns were among the worst Ive even been served, it was dripping with oil (about 3 tablespoons!) and uneatable, when I mentioned that to the hostess and a server that was near her, their only response was, well, did you know you could have had cottage cheese or tomatoes instead ! well, of course I knew that, BUT I LIKE HASH BROWNS with breakfast.but no other effort on their part other than that comment.seems I ordered wrongly, I was polite & thought they would like to know, big mistake, I have patronized this restaurant since the 1980s, but no more breakfast for me there, sign me a disappointed customer.

I rather liked this place. Went there once with a friend about half an hour before they closed. The service was excellent - gal who helped us was very pleasant and very accommodating. Since we knew they were closing soon, we made it kind of a quick meal, and took some home. That said, we had to take the food home because there was quite a bit! Everything that they made was great, too. I loved their chicken fried steak and my friends sausage gravy over biscuits was great. Took some pie to go, and it was quality stuff - probably not made on site, but good nonetheless.

Not only were they not the nicest of people on the phone when doing a take out delivery order, they gave me one small jam for what seemed to be three pieces of toast. I got the Chicken Steak and Eggs (without eggs), and it wasnt the greatest. Honestly my hash browns tasted better, and even those were just okay. First time I went, I got the waffles and a berry topping, and the berries were frozen drenched in like a syrup of sort. Not my first choice for breakfast at all.

Mediocre food. Lame service... I used to love this place.. idk what happened to the cooks and the waiters... I dont eat bacon, asked for a omelette on the menu, minus the bacon.. omelette looked as if they accidentally put bacon, tried to take much of it off as they could when they realized they messed up... it wasnt fully off... and my omelette was missing an important ingredient...hollandaise drizzle.. I was disappointed... not coming back unfortunately..

I would not say completely disliked, but loads of room for improvement. My Asian chicken salad was good ,but then the diced tomatoes on each side of it were nasty :( , they looked old and tasted like they had gotten sour in the bottom of the container a few days ago. They place was busy, but no excuse for that is acceptable. . they could also turn down their unfortunate choice of music " 70s disco " LOL service and prices were ok , cleanliness ok too .
