The mixed reviews almost made me not try this place out, but Im very glad that I did. The food is exceptional, easily better than youd expect for the time of night or price range. Simply put, for good food of most any kind this time of night you can usually expect to pay at least double what Med Mix charges. I have a good appetite, but for an $8 entree and $3 dessert I ended up with too much food for one sitting, and it really is quite good. The only complaint I could see any validity to here is that there is either a language barrier or a heavy accent that was giving me a little difficulty, but for any authentic hole in the wall affordable kind of ethnic food this should be expected. I work grave shift, so Im always happy to find good food that is actually open during the hours when Im awake, and Ill be returning here in the future Im sure.

Extremely rude service. The receipt is not itemized and the total bill is whole dollar, looks like the cashier cut the tips himself even though there was no table service. We went around 9 PM and it was his fast-breaking time. When I went back to the counter to add some more orders, the cashier cum cook became very angry and yelled it me because its his dinner time. I then asked only for a hot sauce. And the guy said, "here is your f***ing hot sauce". I dont get this. If he is so busy taking his dinner, then why not have a signboard saying "closed for 20 mins" or something. I had no problem waiting but certainly it wasnt acceptable for me to get yelled at in a food store. Apart from that, I think the food was good but I lost all my appetite after the rude behavior for no reason.

Worst customer service ever. This is a late night food spot where you can grab something to eat relatively quickly. The skinny curly haired man who seems to run the register and food orders treats people like dogs. I also hear him referring to us as non believers because i speak a bit of arabic. I warn anyone going to this place late at night , do not trust the curly haired toothless algerian guy. He is a terrible person. This ofcourse is a review based on the night crew , i will never ever ever be back there.. I can see that the owner responded. Sir i urge u to read all the other reviews. What do they all have in common? The rude cashier. You are an idiot or his family if u dont put his ass in place.

Do not get Fish n Chips. I wasnt expecting much, ordering Fish n Chips from a mediteranean place, but food this bad should not even be on the menu. The odd coloration on the outside of one of the fish could possibly have been freezer burn, Im not sure. There was about a 2-1 ratio of breading to fish, and I wasnt even that too sure that the thickest piece had been cooked all the way through. Most of the breading was so solid that I end up breaking it off and just eating the fish underneath. The fries, on the other hand, were pretty delicious. Ill give this place another chance in the future, but I wont be getting the fish n chips.

Came here at least once a week for lunch when working in Pioneer Square. Excellent falafel plate, which comes with a generous amount of hummus, tahini, fava beans, salad, warmed pita bread and tabbouleh. Also got the lamb salad a few times and it was great as well, with a healthy portion of meat. Service was satisfactory every time I went, although I can see how it might get a bit chaotic during peak hours. I usually went around 11am and had virtually no waiting time. Wide variety of menu options (burgers, pizza, etc.) all priced between $8-$12. Will definitely come back even though I work in a different part of town.

A very cozy Moroccan hideout on 1st and Washington. The walls are covered with art from the Mona Lisa, Ichiro, the Glove to Arabic calligraphy. The falafel sandwich is one of the best Ive had and I cooked in a Lebanese restaurant for 5 years. My parents said it was the best falafel they have had since Egypt, twenty-five years ago. My wife, who is from Lebanon, said it was as good as her uncles restaurant outside of Beirut. It is a must for anyone who wants real food from the Middle East. The chicken schwarma sandwich is also excellent. Fantastic place, lovely people and delicious food!!!!!

I ordered 3 Chicken Salads & asked the cashier 3 times to put the chicken on the side. When the salads came out, the chicken was on top of the salads. When I asked the cashier why they did this, he argued with me saying that the chicken was just on the top. So I sent them back & they made 3 new salads. When I got back to my office, i noticed that the container were barely filled and the lettuce was really brown. I will not patronize an establishment that doesnt serve fresh produce, follow a simple instruction or value their customers. Thats it for me Medi Mix

Extremely rude service! I asked for a cup of water but was having trouble with the machine. One of the men working there yelled, "Hey you!" at me and then yelled at me like I was dumb saying, "IT works!" When I asked him not to be so rude about it he yelled at me again saying, "Im not rude! It works!" Then he went over to another guy and told him I had some nerve and called me a word, that I will not repeat, behind my back but so that everyone could here it. NEVER been treated that badly in my life. Do NOT support this place!

This is one of our favorite lunch spots for all of us at work. They have super delicious cheeseburgers and fries. Plus lots of other food. Pretty much food from all the major styles. (Gyros, Pizza, Fish n Chips, Burgers, Hot Dogs). The best part about this place is that you can walk out with a burger and fries for only 5 bucks flat. (not including drink) Its an old place and fits into the "greasy spoon" vibe but very delicious. Highly recommend.

I have been coming here for close to 10 years. Food has always been great but customer service and staff not so much. I think its because they serve so many drunk annoying people at night they dont really care about good service. And the employee that runs the register has been there for atleast 10 years and has always been the way he is. Regardless I come here for good food and not catering.

Its such a nice place to hang out and chill! Love their yard!!! This type of places represents the true spirit of San Francisco: fun, lively, hip, and free. And their chicken or pork shoulder bowl/pita is a must order! The meat is more moist than how it appears. Oh dont forget the greek frozen yogurt with sea salt and olive oil! Doesnt it tickle your fancy.

Had to find my way over here for the baklava cheesecake. Wound up trying the salted caramel one. It was deliciousness! I made sure to share so I wouldnt feel like crap eating the whole thing to myself. But I think I gained 10 lbs eaten that thing!! Its super rich. No complaints. Maybe next time Ill try the food.
