Love this place! Used to be Sun Ya and now Ocean City. Many people there have been a part of both. Really enjoyed the jellyfish appetizer on combo with duck as well as the sizzling seafood platter with phenomenal fish and shrimp and veggies! Was here a few days ago for dim sum, which is one of the best in chinatown/international district! Shrimp wrapped in tofu, shrimp cakes on green pepper or eggplant, shrimp wrapped in noodles or rice wrapper, duck, chicken feet (one of my favorites in town) and mango pudding, sesame balls, broccoli, plus many more. Every day for lunch 7 days a week they have dim sum plus their own parking lot with a great parking attendant. Dont forget to tip him when he gets you out and into those tight spots. Amazing dude! There is always fresh live seafood available in season. Ive always wanted to get the king crab prepared 3 different ways. Seasonal gorgeousness now is lobster and spot prawns. Also they have goeduck, oysters and dungeness crabs live. Another great feature of this establishment is the enthusiasm in the cocktail lounge! Always great people and drinks!! Ocean Star is a great destination for big and small groups to enjoy!

This was our first time here and the minute we sat down plates were being put on our table. Had no idea what anything was and that we would be charged for all this food we did not ask for. We werent given any menus and when we went to pay he asked if we would like to leave a tip and of course we said yes. We left our change of 2$ and some cents and he looked surprised. He said "tips only 10-15$". RIDICULOUS, and food was gross and cold. Never like to complain about service since I work in a restaurant myself and know things can be a little hectic but this was just horrible.

Went here with a school field trip. Great for very large groups. I only had a little bit of food here. Vegetable egg rolls. Vegetable fried rice. Mixed stir fried vegetables. Stir fried chow mein noodles with vegetables. All of this was pretty good/standard. The kids loved the fried chicken wings. There is dim sum here, but we didnt try any of this. I would have no problems going back here if others wanted to go, but I have other local favorite places nearby. I would maybe come here if the other places were packed and I didnt want to wait.

I have enjoyed Dim Sum here about 5 times and I am always pleased with the food and the service. The dumplings and buns are delicious and well prepared. I especially likeove the jasmine tea. Its like drinking a sunny garden, just delightful. They have onsite parking which is handy, but is sometimes full. I recommend this place, for sure!

A worker was holding some plates and then he must have tilted it, causing liquids in the plate to fall all over me. It was disgusting and I was not happy with this experience. I do not recommend this place to eat at since it is quite expensive compared to other restaurants. I would not want to eat here ever again.

Visted this restaurant for Dim Sum on a weekday. The dim sum was mediocre. The entrance to the restaurant from a streetside parking lot is a big turnoff because of all the littered cigarette butts on your walk up to and through the front door. I am a non-smoker!

Used to be 5 star when it was sun-ya but recently sold to a new owner and the dim sun has gone downhill. Shu mai has completely changed and lost its flavor, in my opinion. Used to be my #1 dim sum spot. Hope they go back to the old owners dim sum recipes.

Free parking in the International District. Very good Dim Sum. Right now the restaurant is offering live king crab for $9.99 a pound in the evening. E mein noodles were cooked perfectly and sizzling oyster hot plate was unbelievably tasty.

Despite there not being many other customers at the time, the server was rude and impatient, we werent given enough menus, the food took a long time to come, and one of the dishes was served cold.

It is medium to low quality of the dim sum. Also, a little bit overly priced. Place is nicely clean and a nice parking.
