I wish I can give negative stars for this restaurant if it is possible, we had awful experience in this place, this is not the first time I’ve been there but I am certainly sure this would be the last time, my family and my friends went to this place last week, I have a 1 year old daughter. We are all easy-going persons and not picky persons, but starting from the moment we sat, we had to complain the dishes (plates and cups) are not clean, there are some black stuff on them, so we asked to change the plates and cups for two times. Later, we especially ordered porridge for my daughter, we ordered same kind of porridge in other restaurants for her and she likes very much, but she didn’t like the porridge in this restaurant at all, so I tasted the porridge and felt it is sour and with bad smell, I never thought the porridge can be like this. I suspected my tasty, so all of us three adult ( me, my wife and my friend’s wife) tasted the porridge again, we all agreed that it is sour. We asked one of the waitress, she listened us and said “I will cancel this item from your order” without any “Sorry” and immediately took away the porridge from our table. I don’t know if they want to play trick with us, so we asked her to put the porridge on our table and request to talk with her manager, so there was one lady dressed in a white suite while all other waitress dressed in black came and talked with us, we stated our complaint and told that my daughter already had some of this porridge, this lady told us that there is no problem with the porridge and sour probably was caused by the salt, blah-blah-blah, it isn’t a joke? The sour porridge was caused by salt!! We didn’t believe what she said, so we asked “if all you said is true, can you promise that you guys take the responsibility if the baby feels uncomfortable after we are back home?”, we were very shocked that she said “We cannot make promise, maybe you fed your daughter with something else. ”, we insisted to talk to her manager, then she walked away and left us without any words, Gosh! It isn’t ridiculous, madam, do you think we play with you using my daughter’s health??? Also as a unsatisfied customer of your restaurants , we are even not deserved for “Sorry” from you and your staff? We collected the porridge left in my daughter’s spoon in a sealed bag, which we think we can use for evidence if something goes wrong. We paid the bill and left the restaurant, We didn’t give any penny for tip, honestly this is my first time in my life without paying tips for dinner. I believe they are deserved for zero!

Not the best location, its hidden, poor parking and dark. Id be scared to get mugged if I was by myself! That aside, the restaurant was OK. I would not go back. You can find better Chinese Food with better service elsewhere. Pros- didnt make me sick food was edible- food prepared quickly Cons- Location- a bit scary at night Service was very poor- waiter was rude and slow We had to ask for rice three times ( you shouldnt have to ask for rice at a Chinese Restaurant and HELLO almost everyone in our party was Asian- what Asian doesnt eat rice for dinner? Our entrees were served 10 minutes before we practically begged for rice ) NEVER once refilled our water- we were down to empty cups at the end of the meal with no refills offered- shouldnt that be automatic? I know we could have asked but you really shouldnt have to. After they served our food- we were ignored- no is everything OK?- do you need anything else?- nothing! We ordered a six pound lobster but what came out was like half the size we ordered- It looked like the took half the tail or charged us for a six pounder and gave us a three pounder. I know they shrink but half the size? It was on special $10 a pound but nothing special if you dont get what you ordered. The dessert they gave us was embarrassing. It was watered down sweet black bean soup. I think I only has bean shells in my bowl no actual beans. It was free but why serve something so awful? Id rather have my water refilled. The straw the broke the camels back- the waiter had the balls to complain that we only gave him a 10% tip. It was a 10% tip on a $160 meal=$16.00. Which is very generous since he barely did anything for us. In my book 10% is when you get OK service- anything more is for good service. Overall very poor experience. I would not recommend anyone go to this restaurant.

This place is simply awesome, and a great place to go with family and friends on the weekend. This restaurant specializes in Dim Sum, and they do a great job of it. Now, if you are American here is a word of advice; this type of restaurant is not anything like a regular American or Mexican restaurant, so youll have to get used to a few things. First, with Dim Sum, you dont order anything. The food comes to you! When the cart comes by, ask the waiter or waitress to show you what is inside if each steam container, and theyll do it. Ask them what type of meat is inside, and theyll tell you. Usually youll find things like shrimp and pork. My top recommendations: Bao tze, shao mai, or any other shrimp-filled dumpling. They are awesome! If you try to order something from a menu, life will be difficult for you, because this is not that type of restaurant. Go with the flow, eat all the goodies that come by on the carts, and you will experience tasty food, excellent prices, and FAST service. You will never have to wait around forever for your food like a regular American-style restaurant. Guaranteed. Usually there is a 15 minute wait to be seated, because on weekends, this place is packed! If you have a friend or loved one who is a native Mandarin or Cantonese speaker, it will be a plus for you, because they can help explain what the dishes are, and better communicate with the staff. I highly recommend giving this place a try on a weekend morning, the dim sum is great!

This review has two titles... "Average quality at above average price" or "Staff discriminates against non-Asian people?". I was the first in my group to arrive and, with the exception of a single solitary waitress who was very sweet to me, the staff was extremely unprofessional; particularly when I got my number and ordered the table. I suspect discrimination because I am non-Asian and Asian guests who arrived after me were being seated ahead of me. I hope it was just because I was by myself and that I was waiting for the rest of my group to arrive, but the behavior was extremely weird. Anyway, onto more important things. To be kind, the variety was huge, but the quality was standard. The carts came by frequently but, the thing is, if Im going to pay $8 for a handful of pot stickers theyd better be the best pot stickers ever, and they just werent. In fact none of the items we had that day were any higher quality than Ive had before for much less money. The only thing I really liked about Top Gun was that one girl, the single solitary server, who treated me like a human being and brought me a coke as I waited for my friends, and did so with a smile. She is in fact the only reason I give this place two stars instead of one.
