This restaurant is brand new to the block. The name confused me because its called "Ferry Plaza Seafood," but wasnt at the ferry building, which DID have a "Ferry Plaza Seafood" at one point, which I guess is permanently closed. Anyway, the most memorable thing about this restaurant was our waitress. She was very odd; she would stare at us and not say a thing and then move robotically. I felt like really was a robot. She didnt smile and everything she said sounded scripted. I did eat food too. I had some of the lobster roll (overpriced and not that great) and the New England Clam Chowder (pretty good). They did have complimentary bread that was good too. Overall, I wouldnt return because I felt uncomfortable (robot waitress)and it was a bit pricey.

I came here for lunch and it was pretty slow. The lunch menu is different than the dinner menu, and most of the photos uploaded reflects the dinner menu. We sat ourselves down and the waitress brought us our menus. There wasnt that many people in there (about 3 other parties), but the service was really slow. They give bread and butter, which was really good (well toasted), but even that took forever to come on to the table. When we were finally helped, the waitress was not the most friendly person. I like asking for recommendations, and she was no help. "yeah sure its good" was her response for most of the items.

Can only give one star. Had fish and chips. Added a generous tip and made total $29. (These are lunch prices for fish & chips, in an empty restaurant at 1230P.) After I signed my bill, someone at the restaurant wrote in/added an extra $2.00, raising my bill to $31. When I called them to complain (Mireya & Lady) they refused to give me the owners name so I had to track them down on my own. Food certainly wasnt worth $31, Id say more like $9 - and service was subpar. (Make sure to check your receipt against your statement.)

Reason for score: Quality of food: 5 - Oysters were fresh and super flavorful, spinach salad and shrimp quesadilla were delish Atmosphere: 5 - Kinda modern, tasteful décor, very comfortable Service: 4 - Server was a little stand-offish at first but really warmed up Value: 5 - Happy hour prices are amazingly reasonable - truly a bargain given quality and location Bottom line: Id return in a heartbeat, particularly for happy hour

Food: Ordered a dozen oysters, $1.50 happy hour special. Oysters were good, your typical happy hour special oysters. Service: No host but there was a waitress. Took her a while to seat us and when she first came by, she was extremely rude. No smiling or eye contact. When she did seat us she threw the menus down and quickly walked away, same with the water. There was zero pleasantry the entire time we were there.

Nice place. Classy inside and the outdoor area with the live band and beach sand is cool. Sat indoors Took an hour or so for entrées to come. Grilled fish was good but the presentation was minimal and when I was done I wanted a cheeseburger because I was still hungry. Would expect more given the price.

Love this place, service is great, drink a few in line while you wait and theres always a wait, minimum an hour, even on a weekday. Counter style seating in and out. My favs the combination cocktail, sourdough bread, oysters and clam chowder, this is a very creamy, thin chowder and I love it.

I just finished eating here. Ive been to Sotto Mare many times and been disappointed but this place is just amazing. Great selection of oysters. The linguine vongole and brussel sprouts were superb. I rarely ever post on Google but this place definitely deserves a 5 star rating.

We had a wonderful evening here and highly recommend it. Every dish we tried was flavorful - the grilled octopus, mussels, brussel sprouts (delicious), panna cotta, and lemon pudding cake. Service was warm and friendly and meeting the chef was an unexpected treat!

Excellent seafood! Innovative combination of flavors on every dish. Happy hour is a best kept secret. If you love oysters and Champaign this is your spot.. Bring your favorite people here for lunch, happy hour or dinner...you will not be disappointed.

Excellent atmosphere, great location, and service! Ahi tuna tartar, calamari and stripper were outstanding. The owner caught the stripper the day before and it was prepared perfectly. We live in the neighborhood and will certainly come back!

Always good quality. Fresh!! Especially love the mixed chowder (Utes mix). Everything Ive had here is so tasty! Note that happy hour is a little on the early side if you need your raw oyster fix.

Weve been coming here since it opened on Union St...We love Primo and Ute, and he really takes care of you. Great oysters, great original dishes...And Utes chowder is terrific.
