Well, we went there last week in a party of 9 adults. So right off the bat, you know they are going to take their 18% gratuity. Seems like when they dont have to earn it, they dont try! The service was very bad. We were ignored for most of the meal. Everyones drink glasses were empty. I ordered the blackened salmon (which they charge extra for the blackening) and they brought it out to me UN-blackened. They took it back and cooked it longer with the spices added. Do you know what happens to fish when you cook it twice? It came back dried out. Another in our party ordered the sea bass and it came out totally overcooked and dry. All the fish portions were very small and overcooked. The dinner cost me $300 and we left very dissatisfied. I will not visit there again.

love it. sit upstairs if you want a little more quiet, or outside. i love sitting in the main seating with my crab bib on eating as much as i can. If you live in the peninsula, either go here, pacifica or fishermans wharf. not too pricey!!!! but not chillies prices. Expect $30 a plate. My wife and I get out of there for about 80 with a tip and beer. Not bad! A good steakhouse is 120 with tip and beer. Go and have fun........it can be loud. Cheaper - benihanas.....then - fish market....pricey - broadway prime.....best 3 around burlingame. 31yrs old and lived here for 11 years........ohh yeah....i love food. and adore great food!!!!!!!

We requested the crab to be cracked in two dishes. They were not but asked for the waitress to correct the problem. She had one dish brought back and it was cracked but the second dish they took the crab out of the hot dish and put cold shredded crab on the top. I commented that there is cold crab on top of a hot dish and the waitress said Thats the way they do this". Very disappointed with the manager as well. He came over to offer me a glass of wine, which I declined and did nothing to make us have an enjoyable experience. The bill came to $150.00. The Cioppino was not eaten, and was not taken off the bill. I will never bring my family into this resturaunt ever again.

Perhaps I have an insensitive palate, but I liked the food here. I ordered blackened trout with a side of fries and steamed vegetables. The trout was tasty, the vegetables cooked, but firm, and the fries were crisp. You can watch them cook the fish if you like (they have an open kitchen behind a partially open kitchen.) The restaurant is on the water, and you can either sit completely outside, or in a glass atrium. The service was attentive. The only complaint I have is that the concierge made me wait until my full party had arrived before she would seat me, even though the restaurant was not that full.

I didnt think it was that good. Ordered mixed fish and chips. It was mostly chips, 2 shrimp a small fillet of codfish?? And two undercooked scallops. It was supposed to come with Cole slaw and I was informed when I didnt get it that they considered the garnish on the plate the Cole slaw. Hmm ahhhhh ok?? Another person in my company order sea bass, but was unable to eat it because it was raw. Service was very slow too. Fast appetizers, but after that it felt like we were forgotten while we saw others who came in after us were served. The appetizers were good. I liked the calamari we ordered.

Ive been going here for years and last night I had THE WORST service ever. It was my birthday and my friend and I sat outside. It was about 7pm. It took about 15 minutes for the server to take our order. Since it took so long we thought she would take our full order but she only took our drink order. When she returned 20 minutes later we were starving and ordered 4 appetizers. The server never smiled or asked how we were doing. We were so disappointed with her service we decided not to order entrees. I still tipped her 20 percent, although I regret it today. Shame on you Fish Market.

My sister loved the oysters Rockefeller and her chiopino. I on the other hand had the fish and chips. What should have been 2 nice pieces of cod came to me as what could only be described as shoe leather. It was overcooked. Its like someone took the fish and rolled it with a rolling pin. Very weird. The augratin potatoes had no flavor. The highlight of my meal was the clam chowder. The bread was even to hard. For as much as I was charged you figure the food would have been better. I will never eat there again. Very disappointed.

Did I tell you I hate fish? Well, I like shrimp/prawns. So, coming here is easy because I love their shrimp/bacon skewer, cajun-style. Cheesy garlic bread and scalloped potatoes are just yum. My family loves the fish choices. Its a dilemma between chocolate-covered strawberries and butterscotch pudding for dessert. Id give them 5 stars but the last time I was there the service was so bad I had to get up and go search for our waiter. There are a ton of great veteran waiters there but they werent serving us.

Fish market is a great place to have a nice fishy on your little dishy. Nice customer service, food arrived quick , and I enjoyed my meal. Went there for my dads birthday meal with my mum and enjoyed the lovely view of the lake . You might want to reserve a table like we did to get that view as well. Only reason for a 4 star is my mums first choice of fish (swordfish) was unavailable as well as her drink! Pretty bad for the fact that we were there at 5 pm . It may have been just a one off so no big deal.

Fish Market Restaurant serves various types fish and seafood dishes. There are plenty of dishes to choose from and there should be a good dish for everyone. Have been here a few times and I have been satisfied with my various meal selections each time. The service is usually quick and efficient and the food is good. There are nice out door seats (that tend to fill up rather quickly though). There is also parking space outside that usually have some spots available.

We were seated inside with a view of the waterway. A lovely table for two great view, but still benefitting from the AC. Not too long after this a large group was seated right next to our table. They were very loud. It was hard to hear each other over all the noise. Our meal started out well, despite the noise. The cheesy crab bread was delicious. My meal was disappointing. I ordered a blackened grilled fish. I got a barely seasoned over cooked fish.

Seafood chain with solid menu options and a great view. None of the food here is mindblowing but its all pretty tasty and consistent across their locations. The place has a bit of an old-school vibe and an extensive (if not overwhelming) menu. This location in particular is great for a sunny day or catching the sunset at night. I recommend their simple dishes - fresh shellfish, whole grilled fish, etc.
