So-So Burgers at Best Burger Youve Ever Had Prices Blue Moon Burgers isnt awful by any means, its just not good enough to warrant the premium price. Burger and fries will run you at least $10 per person. I understand that beach property isnt cheap, but it would be nice to get a slightly bigger and better burger for what youre expected to pay. The fries are some of the best you can get in Seattle (proper hand-cut fries that are perfectly crispy and seasoned), the onion rings are quite good (crispy, seasoned batter with soft onions), and they make old-fashioned shakes, which is nice. The sides just seem overly expensive to me, considering the portion. Sometimes you can overlook an expensive burger if the fries are plentiful. The sauces are decent enough. Blue Moon Sauce is basically mayo and BBQ sauce. And thats the key to these burgers: you have to add so much sauce to them due to the lack of fat and seasoning when it comes to the patties. The burger is just okay. I tried the Classic; which is basically a McDonalds hamburger (without onions for some reason). Its basically cooked well-done (they say they cook medium-well; I asked for medium and it was all grey) and the patty doesnt appear to be seasoned (they advertise that its seasoned, so perhaps its just a light dusting). They also appear to use a rather lean ground (my preference is 80/20 for burgers) and theres not much variety in the sandwiches offered on the menu, so I would recommend building your own. I have to give them credit for the pickles and the bun. Thats some high quality stuff. Places like Red Mill (so over-hyped) use Franz mush buns, but Blue Moons brioche buns hit the mark. I just hoped for a bigger, messier burger, overall. The view is great and there is a lot of nice outdoor seating. The employees seemed pleasant, and I have no complaints in that regard. Its just hard for me to be impressed by burgers in a post-2007-era Lunchbox Lab burger. If the prices were a bit more reasonable, I would go back on occasion. As it stands, Id just recommend that you try it and see for yourself.

Im always game for new food, I was excited to try Blue Moon Burgers tonight, after frequenting the neighboring Chupacabra down the street (TOO much?...) along Alki Beach. The idea of local burgers sounded great! My husband and I arrived 25 mins before close and were told by a very nice young lady at the counter, "the kitchen is backed-up on orders, so theyre packing everything to-go". That should be fine, as were eating in the car. About 15 people were eating or waiting inside the restaurant, at most. Husband wanted a pretty regular-style chicken sandwich (brioche, lettuce, tomato, ranch, cheddar), and was told he had all these options to make all these unusual substitutions or specialty versions. Nope, just a banal chicken sandwich order. I ordered the Blue Shroom Burger. Then some Waffle Fries and two sodas. The restaurant is open-air, and after waiting for 40 minutes shivering (7:40-8:20pm), we finally received our order... which I could only describe as a bag of "F***-IT." ...We received this crazy "Hawaiian teriyaki-pineapple" chicken sandwich (which my husband refused to eat) which was PINK(!) inside, and then I received a Blue Shroom Burger...with NO freaking mushrooms! Seriously?! There were literally 8 waffle fries in the bag; not even big ones. We were incredibly disappointed with whatever happened in the kitchen... This all set us back about $30, and as customers walking-in after 8pm are being shouted-at, "the kitchen is now closed!!", so we know we cant get new food cooked to order, so were stuck unpeeling this wad of disappointment in the car. We ended up at Taco Time just so he could eat, after an hour of waiting-for and finally unwrapping the Blue Moon. I really hoped that this location was a fluke, but it makes me want to ditch the whole idea of Blue Moon Burgers altogether.

Ya, no. I havent gave a bad review in at least 3 years. How do you mess up a burger when you are a burger joint? Custom ordered my burger, it was so wrong. Dry thin burger patty (this was the biggest disappointment, ordered medium). Had a pathetic piece of lettuce on it, why even put it on? Only got cheddar no swiss after paying for it. Had requested no mayo after I custom ordered it, cant eat eggs. Not cool. Lived in West Seattle for 10 years now, go to Zippys, Elliott Bay Brewery, or Coastline just ti name a few. Better prices, better food.

Come on a Wednesday evening for 1/2 price burgers with a side. Beer counts as a side. Park in their extremely convenient parking lot that usually provides. Come hungry, order the Code Blue. Trust me. Its AMAZING. Order a local beer to get that burger half price. Chow and be happy! Beautiful views of the sound. Minus 1 star because they have never gotten a custom order burger correct, but the manager kicked me a gift card on their third botched custom burger. Wednesday + code blue + beer = best burger experience in Seattle

My gf ordered a build your own chicken burger and I ordered the double cheeseburger. We also got a side of fries and tots. Took less than ten minutes to make which was nice but when I got home my burger was pretty small even with two patties. The tots had an unpleasant after taste to them like the oil hadnt been changed in a long time. My gf said her chicken burger was delicious until she found out the cost of two burgers and an order of tots and an order of fries was $26!! Definitely NOT worth that much money. Will not be back.

Fantastic burgers - However I personally am smitten with the BLT. Im not overstating the truth when I say its the best Ive had in my entire life. Thick delicious bacon and a lot of it ... Texas toast.. Perfect tomatoes .. And the just right amount of lettuce to make it all work. The service isnt always perfect. When the right people are working, it flows much smoother than what Ive experienced other times. (I live close, so I notice these things!) oh- one more thing ...I like I that can bring my dog out on the patio!

Decent burgers in a little less than standard price. The burgers have many options but you can also do a completely custom piece. There are milkshakes and lots of sides and the food is generally good when hot. The only downside is the wait time. You can order to go and you can pre-order as well as get delivery through a number of different ordering services so the wait time is a little easier to get around. The shakes in the alternative fries seem to be very popular although I havent really tried.

You get what you pay for :) Seriously awesome location and a fantastic place to hang out when the weather is nice. The food is cheap, and the burgers, fries and shakes are all decent. Best to avoid the rest of the menu- the salads are super disappointing, but then again, this is a burger joint. Good selection of beers on tap, staff are ok, not super friendly, but not bad either. Id certainly go back for a burger and a brew, just dont waste your money on anything green!

Ive never received my food in less than 30 minutes here, and once it arrives its unremarkable. The fries come up first and sit under the heat lamp so theyre not good by the time the burgers are ready. Also the owners were caught sharing racists text messages with each other so theres another reason to avoid this place. The location is great. They serve beer. But the food isnt worth the wait.
