Ive been here 10-15 times over the last 23 years. Every time I go I remember why I havent been in 5 years. Service has never been good. Slow, inattentive, and generally below average. The food is about the same as the service. Eh. Go to Dennys for similar but better food. If youre flying in there are several places to eat within walking distance. Red Robin and Applebees are right across the street. If youre looking for good food on an airport Id go to the Hub at TIW or Jefferson County. Its a shame that this place is so bad. There are fewer and fewer airport restaurant choices all the time. I just cant imagine this one will last much longer under its current management.

Horrible service. Went here today with a friend of mine and her son to eat lunch and watch the airplanes. We came in the door and stood there for awhile before anyone even acknowledged us. The hostess came up and said, "Just four?" then seated us. Drinks were bought out and our order taken in a timely fashion, but when I ordered a cup of coffee, it took about 5-10 minutes to get it. The waitress never came back to ask if our food was ok, if we needed anything else, or if I wanted a refill. The food was very overpriced ($4.99 for a side of bacon??) although my friend and her son said it tasted pretty good. We all agreed to never come back.

Seated immediately, and the first waitress was great. She took our drink orders and was friendly. The second waitress took our food orders and was really not that welcoming and friendly. She proceeded to neglect us and other customers in favor of gossiping with a coworker about butter. My father eventually had to get up and hunt down coffee himself, as she was clearly not interested in helping us. Salad was good, but the fettucine alfredo was lacking. Three stars for food, one for service (would have been zero if not for the good first waitress), and that rounds out to one as the second waitress was so bad.

I have been in dive bars cleaner then this place as soon as you walk in you will see for your self! the rugs are absolutely FOUL! I decided to bear with it and sit down and eat a burger anyway and was floored at the cost of it for such a run down dive! $20.00 dollars later I had a plain burger and a cup of coffee"GOOD LORD" I could see if it was red robin. So went in to the mens bathroom and good god I could taste the air and about gave them back the burger the hard way. needless to say I got out of there and will never go back! the experience was horrid and I ride Harley and have been is some dives!

I didnt come here for the service....I didnt come for the best food in the world. I came there to eat a fulfilling meal...not be bothered and go home. Love the old school feel....love the fact that people were not fake and overly nice....love the fact that they have a tube tv still....its exactly the environment I was looking for and I was very happy with my food....wasnt perfect...but its what I expected. If you just want to eat a damn meal and not deal with all the BS....go there and eat....Ill be back!!!!

Sat and waited over 40 minutes with out being helped by a server. We were seated and had drinks brought to us by the bus boy. Servers never even bothered to make eye contact. Only 4 tables had people in them including us. Asked to talk to the manager he still made us pay for 2 sodas and a hot tea. Screw this place and management. Not the first time I have had cap service here will never be back and I hope no one else makes the mistake of going here.

First time coming here, great atmosphere...really reminded me of an old style diner, and right next to the airfield too. The chicken fried steak was great and hash browns were good too but the eggs were undercooked. Not a big deal, but it could have been better. Would have given 5 stars until I saw the bill. $13.99 for the meal wasnt too bad, but $3.50 for coffee is a little over the top. Bottom line, Ill probably be back.

Great food - huge portions! Yes, the price is a little steep, but for what you are getting, its worth it. Way better food than Applebees across the street, and a nice, down home feel. Nice view of the air strip, with outdoor seating for the summertime. Good down home food - great meatloaf, great sandwiches and burgers. If you get the Nachos, only get a half serving - as this is enough for two people (or more!).

We host monthly meetings at the Hangar Inn Restaurant. The owner and staff are wonderful people who provide EXCELLENT service. They provide us with Buffet Dinners and the food is always EXCELLENT too. It was like eating grandmas home cooking. We cant say enough about how great our experience has been at this restaurant. The food is very good here but the true fun for this Place Is the location. On a sunny day you can eat outside and watch planes take off and land at thunderbird field. Airplanes taxi right up to the restaurant and pilots jump out and park. If you like aviation this is a tasty and funny place to eat.

We got a oriental chicken salad that was terrible, a club sandwich that was decent and the kids got Mac n cheese that was disgusting. The service was nothing special and the bathroom floor was incredibly sticky.. The only saving grace was the view of the airplanes taking off or coming in for the kids!

I go here almost exclusively due to watching the planes. Service has always been fine but 1982 called and wants its decor back. Not very clean. Food is mediocre at best and pricey for what you get. Go to enjoy the planes and the mountain and just know the food is incidental.

Only thing that is good about this place is the airplanes. The food was expensive and not good at all. The waiter we had didnt even ask us how we liked our food even though there was more than half left on each plate. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

This is a unique local diner/restaurant right next to the airfield where you can watch small planes and helicopters land and take off. The food is decent and inexpensive. Its a great place to have coffee and a bite with some friends and family.
