First time eating Korean BBQ, went out to celebrate after a PT Test with a bunch of friends. Called and made a reservation for 15, no problem. Got there, food was great, really enjoyed it , our waitress was very helpful and even brought me "beginner" chopsticks because I was struggling a bit. Besides our waitress, the rest of the staff were very rude. Multiple times we waived down one of the other staff members to ask for other items, another beer, more rice, more meat, etc. We would be met with "your waitress is over there", and a point to our waitress. Sometimes just the point. We had finished the meal and were sitting around drinking beers and another waitress came over and told us we had to leave the table. We were forced to relocate to another side of the restaurant to finish our drinks, despite the fact that our table had just dropped over $1000 in their restaurant. Why were we asked to move our party of 14 to another section? So a Korean family of 6 can sit down. Pretty messed up if you ask me. Ill never return here , even though the food was delicious. Skip this place and find another joint.

Last straw. They have the worst customer service ever. I use to go because the food was decent for the price for unlimited bbq. They raised the price. You cant order just the Korean ribs you have to order other meat with it and they try to fill you on the other meat vs 3 ribs. Also Dont expect a refill on drinks without getting up and asking someone. Same with getting more meat. Anytime I went with friends or family I had to warn them about the customer service. But the last straw was when I went with my 3 yr old son. I wanted the unlimited BBQ because honestly that is the best thing there and they REFUSED me because my son didnt count as a person for the minimum 2 person for the BBQ. 3 and under is free and if I wanted them to charge me the $10 4-8 yr old price they would allow me to eat the BBQ. Also I have witnessed the waitresses be selective with who they are friendly with and who they "shun". Like I said earlier the food is decent for the price , but I just cant take the horrible customer service anymore.

Dont bother! This place is awful. Nowhere was it advertised that they do it all for you, which honestly doesnt really bother me accept outlr server barely spent anytime so our food needed to be flipped so it wouldnt burn. So I start flipping our food and she comes up and snatches the tongs out of my hands! So rude especially since I was doing what was apparently her job. She then spilled raw chicken all over us! Raw. Because she left it sitting out and not in a safe spot and she spilled it and raw chicken and its juices went everywhere. Not to mention when she was carelessly cutting the meat she was flinging hot oil at us. The service was just total garbage. Theres also an automatic 18% gratuity added to your check! Thats ridiculous for the garbage service we received. I will never come back and trust me you shouldnt go there either. Wish I could give zero stars.

I lived in South Korea (Seoul) for 12 years as an American Soldier. Unless you are accustom to the Korean style of eating then you might not understand what is the usual. No one is going to kiss your ass like American style restaurants. They take your order and serve you food. Thats it, no more because that is exactly what you will get in Korea. Nobody ever bothered us about tipping. We tip, end of story. The Palace is NOT fancy but it serves the best Korean style meat and side food in Tacoma or Federal Way (where most of the Korean restaurants are located). Better then Honey PIg up the street/ We have eaten at the Palace on many occasions and I get hungry just thinking about it. And, by the way, they dont give a damn how you review their restaurant because they are not influenced by these stupid, super subjective reviews.

We didnt have to wait for a table for our party of 6 - that was the benefit Palace had over Cham today, where the wait was 1 to 1.5 hours. Service here was solid, waitresses were on top of our meat orders and drink refills. They gave us more rice when asked. It was All You Can Eat (AYCE)only, our familys preferred choice. For $23 per person, you tell them which cuts of meat or seafood you want and they bring you portions. The 2 waitresses serving us helped cook our food and were awesome about changing out the grill regularly. One thing to note: there is a mandatory 18% gratuity on parties of 5 or more. I found it reasonable, but if our service had been bad...I wouldnt like that.

Oh my gosh where to begin! The food was not bad! My issue is cleanliness and customer service. I know Korean service is different than American service. But rolling your eyes at me when I have a question is not Ok! Also, it is an option to tip here. So for you to demand a too when you give me my bill equals no tip. You do not demand a too. I gave only a couple coins I had due to the poor customer service. When the waitress saw my tip, she demanded more. I put a quarter down and left. No way am I giving you a proper tip! Extremely rude! Plus whats with the constant touching of money then handle the food without washing hands?! Gross! There are other bbq places nearby go there.

Left 10% tip even after the worst possible service. When we got up to leave, another waitress that was not even ours, said "next time leave more tip of you want to come back" I was astonished that someone would say that and told her there wont be a next time, picked up the receipt and changed it to zero. I checked my online back account the next day, and low and behold they added $20 to my bill. If course I called my bank and got a refund. Do not go here. The owners and waitresses are all Korean, and completely the worst. Never again. Food was just ok.

Bad service, over price, My friends and me came there, and the waitress came to ask us about the drinks, but one of my friends didnt decide what to drink yet, the waitress walked away. Then we ordered the food, after the waitress got order, she walked away again, without asking us or waiting for us to finish our order... she didnt service us too much, then when we checked out, we complained about her, then the cashier just said sorry only, and she said something by Korea language with that cashier.. cant accept this business... so rude, and terrible...

The food is okay but the service is absolutely horrific! I was about to leave the restaurant when one of the waitresses with the glasses stopped me and required me to pay more for the tip, which I only put down one dollar for because the service was already bad. I can understand waitresses asking for someone to pay up, but for a larger tip they do not even deserve? Wow. Never going there again. Ever. Ive already tried contacting the owner, but unfortunately the disrespectful waitresses ALWAYS answer and say that the owner is ALWAYS unavailable.
