My family has been eating here pretty much since it opened. I think a restaurant really comes down to its food, its ambiance and its staff and management. lets start with the food.. ribs.. off the charts good.. they come with a mustard based sauce, honey sauce even a hot sauce thats a little sweet but gives you a kick in the rear. I feel the ribs need no sauce. you can smell the smoke and they really have fallen right off the bone while eating. the hamburger there is even surprising really good.. best Ive eating. please give this a try also you will be amazed. the feast for two is really a feast for 6 for $33.00 if you really wants a great deal get this. you get ribs.. smoked meat.. smoked chicken and all the fix ins. I usually order the sweet tea with a pitcher cause yes.. its that good too. so much to get here and that you will want to come back again and again to get something new only to find out you keep ordering the rack and a half with 2 sides over and over cause your in love with the food. even if i tend to ask for a item that was at one time on the menu but it was too much work to make so they took it off but oh man if you had it you would bug too... home made banana pudding with the wafers and all. the atmosphere here is really nice. music is played low but you can still hear it. like being on a elevator but good old beats to sing too if the mood hits you. they have really near stuff on the walls and some I dont know what it is but over all it adds to the charm of the place. they have a side area for the small kids even a play area so while your eating your kids can play. its a mood where you can come sit down and just be takin care of while you fill your stomach with yummy food. bathrooms are very well clean and smell good. when you walk in the restaurant make sure to look at the window coming in at all the pictures and drawings people have made. now for the staff and management. im a big man in life... 6 5" and 550now. I know im big but I also dont put up with rude people especially if im paying my money to them. now from all the years i have eating at Rib City. I havent once felt discriminated or felt like the staff were ever rude to me or my friends i bring in or my family. The wait staff are really professional and courteous when you walk in the say hello and want to talk to you. they seat you fast unless your coming in the rush hour but ive never waited more then 30 mins for a seat. the staff seem to be there when you need them and not when you dont. the management is well run you can tell a good leader by his staff. Morgan is really a nice guy that doesnt just sit at the register like most bosss. he leads by example. ive seen him buss tables, bring drinks to guests and just be the back up to his staff when it gets really busy. most dont realized that hes the owner . till you see his constant smile and good cheer. always happy and most of all personal with his customers seen him plenty of times stop and just talk with regulars and even put up with me when i ask about the banana pudding. over all a great place.. great food and a great value for your money. go in.. try it.. you will be hooked

As a Kansas City BBQ fan, Id say Rib Citys original bbq sauce is right on cue. Sweet and smoky. They have three sauces to choose from. The meat is tender the majority of times weve ordered take out and every time we dine in. The decor is rustic and the setup works well for large groups in one portion of the restaurant. Since more people have discovered Rib Citys tasty bbq, we usually have a short wait when we go. Rib Citys baby babies are the BEST ribs in the area and their buffalo chicken strips (on appetizer menu) are cooked exactly how my family likes them (not too saucy but Im sure theyd sauce them more if you asked). Their dressings (ranch, blue cheese and spicy ranch) are made from scratch and delicious and go well with the fried okra appetizer! The skyscraper sandwich is generously portioned and priced. Their dessert menu is varied. This is our go to spot and now I want to use my birthday free appetizer coupon (for joining their email list) for buffalo wings tonight. Or you can rack up points using the Five Star reward card at Rib City.

Let me start by saying that this is THE place for RIBS! I have been here many times and even a few of my birthdays were spent here. The food is outstanding, I have several appatizers, and had a few bites of some of the other plates from my friend and family, but every time I go I cant help but get the full rib plate each time. The ribs are fall of the bone good, the BBQ sauce is delicous enough to take home with you. My only complaint is the baked beans could be better. But dont let that stop you! The service and atmosphere is top notch, you will be seated quickly and you wont wait long for your food to be brought out. They run specials all the time so its not that expensive to begin with, and you can eat ribs on a budget! Also. very child friendly. So go to Rib City already!

The food is great however the waitress who served us during lunch in Vancouver, terrible. She was a waitress on a power trip. Every time we go to Rib City we get carbonated water. The waitress actually refused to give us carbonated water! She would only serve water from the sink. I informed her we get it every time we come. Very nicely I asked her, "Are you sure we cant convince you to give us water from the soda fountain?" She actually tells us she "doesnt have the authority". Seriously, over a glass of water? Later when I mentioned it again, the snotty waitress actually tells me, "this is why I wont serve it so I dont have to go through this." Wow!!! A glass of water. The food was great but the experience with the waitress will keep us away.

This place has some pretty good food and Its a very clean restaurant, which is always a plus. However we stoped going because of the bad service, even from the so called managers. A few months back we really just wanted our ribs back so we thought we would try again. Its been great! The last 3 times weve been in there we had the same server and shes been great, small girl with black curly hair. We havent had to wait for our food, and refills come without asking. She checks on us and is very polite, which is more than I can say for the other people we have had wait on us before. Shes a very good waitress and we thought you should know. Good job on hiring someone that can do a good job!
