If you have never eaten at a Mongolian BBQ, you should know that ALL the meats are SHAVEN and FROZEN. I went with a friend who though the meat was dry and hard and was looking for the soft pieces. NO, NO, NO, the meat is supposed to be frozen!!! Build up your bowls, I recommend TWO bowls, put your meats in one bowl and your vegies in the other. When you get to the end of the counters, there are spices and fresh garlic and peppers and jalapenos to add, then you move on to the Oils and other flavors for you to add like Ginger, Garlic, Hot oil, Salt Water, etc. The cooks add nothing but water while it is cooked and blended on that large circular stove. You can go back as many times as you desire. I leave off the noodles, cause they are so filling!!! There are also salad, chicken wings/legs and other stuff at the back of the wall on the left side of the big stove. Food is built by you and spiced by you, so hopefully you know what you like, from mild to spicy as you desire. Owner is great along with staff

My family and I totally love Golden Tent. My kids always love it, they have a bar which keeps my husband and I happy, and the food seems to be really great quality. Its inexpensive, the owner is very nice, and if you or the kids dont finish your first round of food they let you take it togo which no other mongolian grill type place in town lets you do. Oh, and lunch time is definitely the best to come here, they dont do shrimp till dinner but Im not that big of a fan of paying an extra couple bucks just to have access to baby shrimp, and longer lines.

One of my favorite places to dine in Vancouver. Classy and interesting decor with average buffet pricing. If you dont like the food here, its probably your own fault. After I figured out what spices and sauces I liked, I was never disappointed. Speaking of which, this place has a lot more spices and sauces than similar places. Golden Tent is the best and nicest looking Mongolian Grill Ive ever been to and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you like Mongolian Grill, this is the best option for hundreds of miles.

The Bar here is Awesome. Its great place to chill out, have a few stiff drinks and enjoy all the food from the diner at the same time. The Baretenders never short on conversation and a few good jokes. Its more of a personal setting as the tables are few and set for two maybe three, but they also on wall with seating for about ten. You dont have wait to be seated either, just head on in to the bar and order your favorite beverage then go through the swinging door into the diner and get some great food.

Is it Mongolian styled grilled food? Yes. The wait staff is friendly, and one could really get a lot food for their money. But Ive seen barns with cleaner floors and surfaces. The grillers are hardworking, but management lets them clear the grill directly onto the floor. The grill area is awash with detritus being continueously stomped by the grillers. If you really like this place, there are things to enjoy. I was put off, however, and will not be returning.

Went there because my hubby said it was good. We went there and waited for at least 15 minutes in the lobby. They werent seating anyone, or even standing at the counter. I walked over and looked around the corner at the table area and there were empty tables EVERYWHERE! We waited a few more minutes as we watched staff walk up and walk away. We walked out and went to Yummy Mongolian BBQ. Another family walked out as well.

First time here and thought it was going be the best because I have heard so many good things. I believe, I came to the wrong location. Out of forks, all appetizers were gone. What rice they did have seemed to be sitting there for a couple hours old as day. Egg flower soup was full of oil no flavor at all. I must say this was not what I expected. Going to find a different location and try again.

For the 40 bucks it cost for dinner I would have expected much better food. The cook was very unfriendly and cleaned the grill right around our food. Could actually see small pieces fall on our food. The food itself, even though I followed their guide for the hot, was bland and undercooked.

Ive been here twice, once when it was dead and once when it was slammed. Both times I had basically the same experience; friendly and efficient floor peeps and awesome cooks on the grill. Clean, well stocked, and amazing food are not easy feats in a buffet. Highly recommend them.

This is definitely a staple in our family, in terms of dinner. We enjoy coming here for a late evening dinner, especially in the bar. Dan is THE BEST server/bartender here. We always get great service when hes working. Overall, a very good place. Also the cooks are great as well!

Ate at the GTM BBQ for the first time, fresh food and so much fun building a SPICY to the taste dish. Sauces, etc. were wonderful! The only thing I did not like ...feeling as if I was eating in a cafeteria. The guys at the grill were friendly...Look forward to returning soon!!!

Pretty clean, good service, good choice of food, reasonable price (dinner around $10), and this is my favorite:-) .. very delicious ice cream included in meal. We been eating here for past 3 year. Would strongly recommend for big groups or family.

Tasty food with lots of choices. soup, rice, wraps and soft serve are all included. Make your own sauce as well, so with a little bit practice you can get your meal just right. I Suggest the pineapple and some pineapple juice.

Great food great service but if youre allergic to certain foods keep an eye on your selection while they cook it. Sometimes they can get some of someone elses food mixed in yours. Its to be expected on a big cook top though.

Compared to the other Mongolian restaurants, Golden tent provides a more restaurant experience than buffet feel. The variety of ingredients is better than most as well. You pay a little more but I think it is worth it.

I love the bar and the food. The main bartender is absolutely attentive. The quality of the food is fantastic. If its your first time having Mongolian ask questions, the stalf is more than happy to walk you through it.

Its what you expect from a Mongolian grill. Good fresh ingredients, clean, with a attentive staff. I wish the fountain drinks were self serve as well though. Staff was very prompt with drinks, I just am a soda junkie.

Build your own Mongolian bowl. Unfortunately the toppings are somewhat limited compared to other places Ive been along with the sauces. Was cheap and beat most Chinese buffets though so hard to complain.
