Hands down one of the best BBQ spots in the SW VA area. Staff is always friendly, quick & attentive. They have excellent lunch menu prices & their smoked chicken salad is the best Ive had out of any restaurant. All of the speciality sandwhiches are insanely good as well from their Adamwhich to the Cuban & the classic Beef & Cheddar wrap. And occasionally you can show up at the right time of day and you can smell the fresh smoke outside of the restaurant & In. It is beyond heavenly. Five stars from me is hard to get, but Ive ate here enough over the last couple of years to have more than a small sample size to compare. I can even speak leaps and bounds about there catering at my friends wedding. Didnt know they used Wildwood until we got to the dinner service & it was amazing. Keep it up guys!

Never again. I was there today, 09/02 2014, and ordered the prime rib sandwich. Out came a 1/4" slice of well done meat just barely covering what appeared to be a dinner roll with a half of a slice of cheese on it. The side of coleslaw was good, so was the au jus, and horseradish sauce, but I was at Burger King an hour later. The sandwich and soda came to over $13.00. The $1 burger at Burger King was bigger and more filling. I might go back to Wildwood Smokehouse in Roanoke,Va. again someday, but it will only be to grab bagels from the shop next door.

Food was good. Got the beef brisket sandwich lunch special for about 8 bucks with a side. Brisket was a little chewy and I would have preferred it to be cooked slightly less. Excellent staff. Manager came over and made sure I had a good experience and food. Recommended. Gold BBQ sauce is really good.

First time going to this place and it was a delight. The Hush puppies were excellent, ribs were cooked to perfection and just fell off the bone. The sauces tasted great and the service was good overall. It was a bit of a relaxed environment but no complaints this trip. Will definitely go back.

There is no denying that the hush puppies are phenomenal. Our family just had ribs, chopped steak with peppers and onions and gravy, BBQ ribs and sandwich and a chicken salad. It rarely happens but not a crumb was left on anyones plate. We will definitely go back on our next visit to Salem.

Salad was good but everything else was horrible. I ordered the ribs and they were not edible. i took one bite out of it and left the rest. The fish was edible but nothing i would eat again. I ordered a steak and would not highly recommend it

The food here is amazing! They have great lunch and dinner specials. Nice atmosphere here, friendly staff, and the chocolate peanut butter cookies are the best in town. Check them out if you are in the neighborhood!

Pales in comparison to mission bbq ....brisket had no smoke ring or flavor at all, might as well have been boiled roast...wife had steak sandwich which she enjoyed ....waitress was nice ....

The Brisket is always great! But the stars are the sauces and the potato salad! Plus the wait staff and owner are so nice. Owner always comes to the table to check in on you. A++

I informed the manager that my pulled pork was gray and I wasnt going to eat it. He said Thank you and walked away. $14 for a lunch that wasnt edible.
