Ok! After I purchased a Groupon, I went to Double Wide Grill on a Saturday morning after church at 11 AM. I invited my father and son along with me and thought Id treat them. We get there, and had to wait about 15 minutes before the hostess greeted us. Once we were finally greeted by the hostess I realized she was the only hostess working this entire restaurant which was pretty ridiculous or so I thought because with prior experiences (from high school through 7 yrs of college I was hostess and a waiter) there should have been two or more hostesses working this restaurant considering how incredibly busy Double Wide Grill was during a basketball game. With this being said, many people had reservations on a Saturday which I thought was kind of stupid bc who does that anymore, especially on the weekends when most food establishments are always the busiest. So then again, we had to wait 45 mins to finally be seated but to be places in the bar with a child in tow. Then all of a sudden drunk and unruly bar patrons were cussing and swearing at the game on the TV and there were a bunch of children around. Which is why I told the hostess in the first place Id rather not be sat in the bar area but after waiting nearly close to an hour we just accepted. Thirdly, the food was good and met to its potential a long with a decent waitress who made our experience a little more pleasant even though they brought one of our orders wrong which was when my son wanted BBQ wings but then brought back Buffalo Wings then we had to wait a good few to let someone know we received the wrong order. Overall, the food was good, but service was terrible along with the fact the building reeked of gasoline (as the place used to be a gas station from what I remember). Would I recommend this place? Not really because it is not the family environment for sure, even for brunch/lunch bc this place is not really kid friendly. Nonetheless, it is the type of place if you dont have family with kids and enjoy hanging out with snotty kidless people drinking their Bloody Marys and mimosas who along with the men enjoy belligerently screaming incoherent profanities at the screen over college basketball games ok a weekend mornong.

We went to the Double Wide Grill for my daughters birthday. We took a group of eight to have dinner around 5pm on a Friday night. We were seated immediately and were greeted by all of the staff at one point. We liked the theme of the restaurant and found it to be interesting and entertaining. All of their drinks are made by the restaurant and met my wifes seal of approval. As a lifelong enjoyer of Diet Coke, it was good that even without the brand, she could enjoy her beverage. I especially enjoyed the root beer, which was fabulous. Our server was phenomenal and treated us like we were the only table in the whole restaurant. We had constant care (but we were not overwatched), and because of that, it seemed like we only had to think about something we wanted and she was there--ready to serve. All of the food was fantastic. The onion rings were the best Ive had and the sauce was delicious. But my favorite part of the evening was the ribs. The ribs came to the table, almost everyone had ordered them, and I realized after one bite that it was heaven on a plate. Im not even kidding. I would come back a thousand times just for these ribs. The ribs were caramelized on the outside, crunchy and seasoned to perfection. They didnt need any extra sauce. They were full of meat and they were so soft that they fell right off of the bone. The flavor was incredible. I keep asking my family when they would like to go back. I have been eating ribs for over 30 years and have done so in hundreds of places all over the country. But never have I had such delicious ribs. I have no idea why people are giving this place poor ranking. Any restaurant on a weekend is going to be packed with people. Sometimes the key to results is patience. Trust me, Double Wide, Ill be back. Have the grill ready, because I already know what Im getting! Thank you for your wonderful service that day, for making my daughters birthday special, and for so much food that I had lunch for the next day. You guys were wonderful.

While the food and atmosphere is pretty nice, DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT. You may be noticing a trend through the reviews of "good food, horrible service." Its completely true. Our food was all pretty good, however, this place will scam you. On their facebook page they said "put it on your calendar for tonight: PATIO PARTY! $2 Miller Lites and $2 Wells 9-11." Four of us went for dinner and drinks. We ordered four Miller Lites and six mixed drinks while we were there. We assumed the server knew that we meant the well drinks (seeing as how they were promoting a big special and the drinks were so tiny that we had to order six of them). However, after waiting about 45 minutes to get our food, in which time our waiter brought two free mixed drinks to our male friend who he seemed to be flirting with, we got our bill. The bill had six mixed drinks priced at $5.61 each and four Miller Lites priced at $3.50 each. We asked about the special and the server said he knew nothing of it, despite the sign out front which had the promotion written on it. He got his manager leading to the really great part of this horrible experience. After telling the manager what happened he said "and you couldnt taste the difference between a well drink and a mixed drink?" He then proceeded to leave our table and walk around the outside area where we were sitting complaining very loudly about us complaining, saying "You can taste the difference!" at least three times that I heard. He said "Ill let it slide this time but me more careful next time." He corrected one of the bills but did not make the correct adjustment to the other. I decided to not tip our waiter and let him know instead to thank the "manager" who was so rude. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE

Went here for all you can eat ribs. The Ribs are fantastic. You get a good portion of fries. Service for everyone else was great. Here are the problems: 1) I had a Groupon that I specifically asked the host about "Will you honor this voucher for all you can eat ribs" and the host confirmed I could. They didnt accept it at the end of my order, even the manager coming and pointing out specific language in the groupon. They made no attempt to correct the host who sat us or offer me an apology discount - which at this point should have been granted due to their employees not knowing the rules 2) our waitress was never at our table. We had to asks other waitresses to grab ours or go up to the bar to see where our waitress went. It took 1 1/2 hours to get through 3 plates of ribs. I was not full but I didnt have another week to wait for the 4th round. Perhaps this waitress in particular was terrible, but when the customer has to pester other waitresses and the bar tender to get a refill on water thats a sign theres a problem. 3) further, our waitress offered me sweet potato fries along with my ribs. I know its election season, but they need to clarify"you only get one very small portion on the first plate of ribs" and then regular fries from there. I wouldnt have paid $2 more for a handful of cold sweet potato fries (cold from her slow service) had this been told to me. Almost all my issues were from the terrible waitress, but I made these problems known to the staff and they still did nothing. 1/5 stars for jipping me and giving terrible service. Ive never left $0.00 tip before Id been here. Id give the place 1 more chance but not until they address these issues.
