My first time eating here was 7-25-2017 and I really enjoyed my meal. I was seated within 30 seconds of arriving. The waiter was very attentive to our needs but not overbearing. The prices were very affordable, a great option for big groups! Also the variety of optuons on the menu was good. Something for everybody! I ordered the village burger with sweet potato fries. I fell in love, the fries had sugar and cinnamon lightly sprinkled. Enough to add great flavor but not take away from the flavor of the sweet potato itself. The sweet tea was perfect. I will definitely recommend this place to everyone and plan to return in the future.

Food would be reasonable if they didnt add bullshit charges on things that should be included. Went there for a friends bday, waited over an hr for 3 tacos. Cant make this up, tacos, which should take all of of a min and a half to put on a plate, waited over an hr. Waitresses kept bringing out wrong orders, and saying they were out of things, and then later serving it to others. The on the house chips and salsa for our wait, was charged on my tab. This place needs to be on kitchen nightmares. Gordon Ramsey meet your new challenge. Ive never had such awful service and food in my life.

McKenzie, I am the kitchen manager at The Village Grill. I would like to apologize for the bad experience that you had recently while dining with us. Please understand that on Taco Tuesdays we serve close to 800 tacos for dinner, in addition to our regular menu items. We have a very small kitchen and do our best to get the food out in a timely manner. The server was wrong to charge for the chips and salsa, they are meant to be complimentary because we do realize there can be a wait on that particular night of the week. I hope that you will visit us again in the future.

Called at 12:30 to place a take out order. Was rudely told that it would be a couple minutes. I knew it was lunch time, so I said no problem. I waited patiently for employee to come back on the line. I asked if he could take my credit card over the phone. He told me "NO" any other day he could do it, but not on Taco Tuesday. Apparently you do not want take out business. I am a local customer that frequents your restaurant. Very disappointed with you customer service.

My boyfriend suggested we go here on a whim one day and I wasnt expecting much. Boy, was I wrong. The environment is super chill and friendly, the service was excellent and the food was delicious. We didnt have to wait long for the food to arrive and it was superb. I was so impressed and Im upset I hadnt been sooner! We will def be returning! P. S. The deep fried oreos are definitely worth a try!

Village Grill is by far the worst restaurant I have encountered since I moved to Roanoke 8 months ago. Our server was slow and inconsiderate. It took 45 minutes for me to receive my "village club" (cold ham, turkey, and cheese) and the fries werent even cold. Overall, the quality of food and quality of service were terrible. I will not be returning and I do not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Good food, service, and definitely value. $2 Margaritas on Tues, $4 pitchers on Thur. Food was fresh, hot. Staff friendly. My on suggestion is to dampen the door leading to the patio. Every time a server would open the door to wait tables on the patio the door would slam. Guess where my table was? Next to that door. It scares the .... out of you. Other than that totally satisfied.

Just went for the first time and it was excellent, I cant wait to go back again. They have some of the best au jus, fries, and onion rings that Ive ever had, and there are so many fantastic sounding items on the menu Im looking forward to trying. The service was fantastic and incredibly quick as well, and the food was hot right off the grill.

It was just okay. Their beer selection was decent but very limited, their burger toppings were creative but they overcooked the beef, and their fries remind me of Burger Kings in both a good and a bad way. Also, the constant barrage of early 2000s pop-punk was difficult. Still, everything was just fine and the heated patio is nice.

Very disappointed in our recent visit to the Village Grill on Saturday. 1/2 rack of ribs was comparable to a bag of Jerky. Ordered a Junior Arsonist burger which was dressed with grilled onions and mushrooms instead of a red onion as indicated. The service was mediocre at best. We left with empty bellies and full to go boxes.

I have eaten here more than 30 times in the last 2 years and I have never had a bad meal yet. I always get their buffalo chips with whatever Im having- because they are amazing. Ive brought several people here for their first time and they all love it. One of my favorite spots in Roanoke.

I miss the days when bartenders brought the party to the bar. Definitely not this place. Had to even box my own food up after i ask for it to be boxed up.please bartenders to interact with your customers more and less with other employees. Once again food was great service needs work.

*VERY UNPROFESSIONAL* *UNCLEAN* Came in, was told to sit anywhere. Sat down. Waited 30 mins for anyone to take my order (nobody took my order), asked for the manager, he flipped out on me for literally no reason, was not there for taco tuesday. Will not be coming back.

Love the atmosphere and the food is wonderful, but the service and billing has been inconsistent. The service has ranged from very good to very bad, depending on the night. The bill has been incorrect more than one time. We would like to see some changes made!

Always have great food at a great price...owner accomodated needs and had an employee go out to get ingredients for a dish they had on special once but were not featuring that night...how about that for service. Like the outside addition!! Highly Recommend.

Best burger Ive had in a long time. Have to agree with valovesfood below though - please fix that patio door! The way it slams really takes away from what could be a good dining experience. If it werent for that door, this would be a 5 star review.

Food truck rodeo, although there is many great food trucks attending for their "Food Truck Rodeo" it would be nice to have smaller or sample portions so you can taste all of the trucks. Also kind of noisy with the symphony of generators running.

A fun neighborhood place with good drinks and a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of locals here, which is always a good sign. Beer is served nice and cold. The people are friendly and our service was good!

Hands-down my all-time favorite sit-down restaurant. The service is so friendly that I personally know one of the servers. The food is exceptionally good. I just LOVE Village Grille.

Been there many times. Always good food and good service. Some of the best beer specials in town. Great place to watch a game. Nice outdoor area to play corn-hole or bocce ball.
