3rd time in Florida, 2nd in Pompano Beach. 4 night stay Expedia. We mostly sightsee are out and about and basically just stay to sleep and shower. Arrived about 7:30 P.M. from the west coast. Tried this place since we stayed at Wyndham Santa Barbara last year and wanted to be closer to the water. Requested ocean view $10 more, We got room 701 which did have an ocean view the farthest from the ocean and closer to the entrance/parking lot. but on the top floor. Opened the door and it had a strong odor from spray and Mai-tai sweet smell had to open the sliding door right away luckily it was nice and breezy evening. I look a look out the balcony and got the mai-tai syrup on my arms when I leaned over. There were items left in the cabinets from the previous guests, the carpet is nasty(imagine TSA airport) the bathroom is 4x7 the door to the bathroom almost hits the sink. We turned on the T.V. to watch the Mets-Cubs game and the picture kept freezing every 3 seconds, also the Wi-Fi signal was very poor. My wife and I are not that demanding and since we were hungry, decided to go to a local casino to eat and watch the game. left the windows open and returned later, unpacked, cleaned the place up a little and went to bed. (DAY 2) The next morning I went to take a shower and noticed some bugs which were either Bed Bugs or Roach Larvie (little brown bugs about 1/4") 4 of them around the drain when I opened the curtain, They have a handheld shower head and I Corralled them down the drain, I did not think that they could get that high up since we were in the 7th floor but after that I was concerned that whey can get on either our clothing, suitcase or us while we are sleeping. we put a cover over the drain after showering. I did not see any the following day and so far we did not bring them home I hope, I did move our suitcase on top of the dresser that the television was on furthest from the bathroom. But it can explain the strong smell when we arrived perhaps from a pesticide. The Wi-Fi improved but we went to Key West for the day and it did not matter. We still never bothered the management/housekeeping and caught up the service lady to do a towel exchange since we used half of them to clean. On the last evening we arrive late a notice was left on our door that there is going to be a private function/wedding the following day and the pool and restaurant will be closed until 3:45. It did not affect us since we did not partake but I am sure that this was not making most of the people that paid to use them happy and the phone was probably ringing off the hook at the front desk. Finally we checked out and left, We were driving to Miami for lunch when my phone rang while I was driving, I let the voicemail pick it up and it was Joe the front desk manager and he told me the room had a cigarette smell and that he can not rent it for the night and that I can be charged $500 to have it cleaned. I called back and he told me that they have to replace the linen and use a machine to get the smell out. I told him we did have a few cigarettes but out in the balcony and there is no way it went in the room. This upset my wife since she thinks its her fault, So we drove back and I talked to Joe and offered to pay for the room for the day lost and he said nope the room is out of service now and you signed a paper stating that you can be charged up to $500 and that is the way it is, he did not want to talk about it. There is no way that the smoke came in the unit since the wind was blowing west towards the parking lot the whole time, somebody from the building across or the unit above had to see us and mention it to the management. We respected the place and I did signed the paper. I offered to pay for the room for the extra night. if it were not for this incident I would not be writing this. If you are Joe or the Owner reading hopefully you get a professional exterminator and get the carpets cleaned with the extra $460.00 that you made from me. IF YOU ARE THE OWNER YOU MUST BE PROUD OF JOE. CAVEAT EMPTOR

I probably cant find enough words that would describe the awesomeness of this hotel and its staff. Upon check in I was immediately created by Renee. She was no nice and did her absolute best to accommodate my needs. I arrived much earlier then the check in time, but she assured me that I was able to use all the amenities that are offered. As you walk from the lobby to the pool area you walk into a tropical oasis. The palms and tropical trees and bushes are beautiful. This opens up to a pool deck that would rival that of a big Vegas Mega Hotel. Beyond that was a pristine beach with warm blue water. On the beach you have the option of choosing from a beach cabana with chaise lounge chairs or a beach umbrella with chaise lounge chairs. Starting to get thirsty sitting by the pool or on the beach? Dont fret one of the awesome staff will be around with a drink of your choice to quench that thirst from the poolside tiki bar. My only suggestion would to bring something insulated as your pina Koolada can melt a little quicker then normal in the Florida sun. On to the rooms. My room was very spacious and clean. The bathroom was also very nice and clean but just a tad bit small for someone who is 64", but still very nice. The housekeeping staff were very polite with a good morning, good afternoon or have a nice day every time you saw them. The balcony for my room also had two chaise lounges on it so anywhere you wanted to sit back, relax, and soak it all in you could. All while you looked over this mirage. So coming from someone who can be overly critical of things I could not here. I have and will recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone. When Im down there again from Potholesylvania I will definitely be staying at the Beachcomber Resort and Villas.

This was a great Resort, the entire staff were very friendly and nice. The price was great for a resort with all the amenities (beach, two pools, balcony etc). The restaurant food was decent and the price was affordable. The downfalls in this resort for me was lack of good entertainment lol be prepared to fall asleep with the live music. They dont allow coolers, we did go dine there but at times we wanted to snack but not possible if you are limited to bring a cooler. The tiki bar was OK needs some more room, pretty small and I felt crammed. it would be nice if they would move the bar toward the beach area and add some good tropical island music live like maybe ragga etc for dancing (they have good area for that possibility). The place has huge potential but needs more entertainment on the weekend. I wish I had more choices to choose on the rooms as far as ocean view. I would probably had better experience. Some rooms were vacant and I was still limited, :/ It would be nice a first come first serve basis on room selection. Overall, I would return for the price, you cant beat all that it offers.I would highly recommended it or at least its all worth the try!
