Foo Dog is probably my favorite Asian Fusion place in Richmond. I love their pork belly buns, and their ramen is also quite good. The funky art really add to the flair of the location, and I enjoy their ambiance, especially with the outdoor space. The service is good, if a bit hipster college-ville, which is just typical for the Fan. Overall I find this to be a great place to grab a drink (they have some really interesting mixed drinks) and some lunch or dinner while downtown.

So their are a lot of Asian-Fusion places in Richmond. Most being owned by the EAT group, like this one. Still this remains the best of their attempts. The prices are good and they usually have very nice deals for happy hour. I have heard mixed things about the ramen, I cant personally judge it. However, all of their street food is great. It is cheap and quite tasty. Combined with a great beer selection this is one of my favorites in RVA.

If you dont care much about service then the taste of the food in this place is delicious. For their appetizer to their main meal it is hinted with small flavors but nothing bold in flavor. Warning: this place offers NO DESSERTS, unless you consider a cookie as a way to finish off a decent meal. Would strongly recommend it as a place to hangout and relax with a group of friends (as they do have seating for 6 readily available).

Love this place, pretty much always get great service & tasty food at a good price. 3 stars for last visit on Tuesday May 16, 2017 because appetizers came out same time as the entrees, which I HATE, and the entree (Pad Thai) was hardly lukewarm. Server apologized for cold dish & replaced, but no acknowledgement at all about the apps coming out late with the entree. Why/how does this happen?!?! Drives me crazy.

Good for sharing Asian plates. Everything I had I liked, and if youre with a group of people who are maybe picky about the kinds of Asian dishes they enjoy, this is a good pan-Asian option. However, be prepared for a wait, and its a little too noisy to have in-depth conversations. The parking situation is as expected for the neighborhood.

Foo Dog is solid and reasonably priced. They have a pretty good happy hour and a ladies nite too. The curry ramen ,though untraditional, is THE best in the city. The crispy chicken was good from what I can remember. Last time there I had the spicy wings. They are tasty, but Foo doesnt have ranch and I thought that was odd.

This restaurant has become one of my favorites especially for out-of-town visitors. You have a typical Richmond crowd of young professionals and college students coming through. The food is fantastic I highly recommend any of the ramen dishes. The place will get busy on weekend nights as the bar will have a crowd as well

Came here for my birthday in June and the ramen was really good. Ramen is my favorite but Im use to the ramen out of a package from walmart so when I had authentic ramen from here it was one of the best things I ate in my lifeeeee. Always wanting to go back but Im not use to the Richmond parking and driving up there.

The Malaysian ramen is tasty and is quick to order. I came here on a busy Sunday night and sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and attentive. The ramen is delicious, I think it could use a little more spice. The chicken hat comes with the ramen is tender and decent portion. Sunday its happy hour all day.

We had noodles here on Sunday evening. They did the Japanese Ramen wrong (totally not like the pictures I saw), Chinese Ramen well, and the Udon noodle nicely. It was super super noisy so I dont recommend family visit during this time frame. Service was good. Overall its a fine dining place at Richmond city.

The menu says that "some items can be made vegetarian or vegan" but I was disappointed to find out that this refers to only a single entree. Further, while the restaurant is set up for families and larger groups to dine, the music is a bit too loud to chat comfortably.

Im constantly debating whether to get their Singapore Curried Noodles or Malaysian Style Ramen, sometimes I just order both. I specifically go there because thats what I am craving and it delivers every time. I also like to order a side of their fried rice.

Tasted pretty good, but theres a lot of tastes/things going on in the Korean Soba (almost too much with pickled ginger, seaweed salad, with umami flavors). Overall good experience though, as the traditional ramen, steamed buns, and service were very good.

Great reuse of the space with a very open and airy feel. Some Of the murals are really good while others are amateur and cartoonish …I was Disappointed too by the execution and overall quality of the food. The broths in particular were too complex

This is a good place for an evening hang out. The atmosphere is active and theres a lot of chatter. Its similar to a sports bar in noise level. The cool art work and Asian inspired street food are what sets thus place apart. Come here for a drinks

Not authentic japanese food. Their pork for the ramen is not fresh and really hard to chew on, although their ramen broth and veggie gyozas were good. They were nice to switch my ramen to shrimp after I told them about the pork, so good service.

My friends and I got to the spot we planned to eat at too late. This showed up as a nearby place that was still open. The food was good. Servers were nice and service was fast. Chill little spot and good atmosphere. Id go again.

Great atmosphere, tasty food, and they played 90s music when I was there = win, win, win. Im talking Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, Gin Blossoms, the real deal. They also have pretty good happy hour. Definitely going again.

Great stop for some delicious ramen and alcohol. The setting is relaxed, almost sports bar. There is no need to make ramen fancy, just delicious and comforting and this place delivers at a more than acceptable price.

Very tasty food, friendly staff, and cute atmosphere. I had the bao wow and the ramen. Both were great! Wish the ramen was a bit spicier, but thats just my preference. Will definitely be back.

A mouthful of ramen magical ride. Been numerous times and the ramen broth have not disappointed. The price reasonable. Only downside is if your taking your date here, expect it too be loud.

I got the Singapore curried noodles with chicken and a Malaysian mule. The food and drink were amazing they came out within about 5 minutes of ordering. Hip atmosphere, it was super busy!

Open late night, very reasonable prices, food was made from quality ingredients and was great tasting. Staff was willing to split the check for our party of 5 with no problems

Great food! Recommend Chinese style ramen with chicken. Every item on the menu is under 10 bucks (extra $2 for meat). Cant beat the price for the amount of food you get.
