Service here is horrible. Waitresses would bring out appetizers after entrees. Main side items featured with the dish would come way after the entree has hit the table. Most of the diners in the room I saw were sitting around for more than 30 minutes waiting for their ramen. The atmosphere here is very awkward there interior designer needs to be fired. Theres 4 TVs that show a 70s game show, children getting operated on, and your typical NGO commercial ads. I came with a party of 5 we ordered different variations of the Tonkatsu, Siso, Spicy Miso ramen with pork belly, Kim Chi and Cha Shu. The pork belly was grilled nicely, noodles were cooked well not to soggy and the portion size was average. The Kim Chi had a awkward after taste, broth a tad bit salty and the Tonkatsu was dry even with their sauce. We ordered the grilled pork belly with Cha Siu the sauce was suppose to be spicy mayo, but it tasted like buffalo sauce. The Takoyaki appetizer was delicious with the octopus fried in the center and texture. We shared the Black dragon and Flying dragon rolls. Both good, but mediocre. Overall, the food was ok I was not wowed and there service was very disappointing. I heard the best time to eat here is during lunch right when they open. Ill swing by in the future I just hope there servers have been adequately re-trained.

Cha Siu Sapporo Ramen $9 (3/5 NOMs) Im a noodle fish in a sea of ramen. Exploring Rockvilles traditional Ramen scene in DC suburbs. Its a build your own bowl kind of place. You get a choice of 14 different meats or veggies, 5 different kind of soup base, noodles, plus any extras you desire. For our extras, I only care about the egg. Give me egg or else! Well for extra $1. Each ingredient portion fit so well that the dish flavor is very well balanced, maybe even too balanced? Nothing sims to jump out and capture our taste buds, no ups or downs, just very calm. It could be the more traditional side of ramen showing or tasting in this case. Still very enjoyable dish that satisfy this hungry nomster.

Ramen Burger w/ Bulgogi 3.5/5 - Not bad not bad, especially in the DMV area for ramen burger; since we pretty much dont have much of it here yet. Was pretty tiny for $8.50. Felt more like a slider than a burger. The bulgogi meat on the burger was good. Tonkotsu Ramen w/ Kalbi 4.5/5 - the kalbi was grilled and seasoned perfectly. The ramen noodles were great. Soup tasted fine but no wow factor to brag about. Beef Tongue appetizer 4/5 - Was good especially dipped into the dark sauce that comes on the side. A bit chewy and pricey at $7.50 for a few slices.

So so good. I got the beef bulgogi okyadon which is a rice bowl with beef bulgogi and fried veggies and egg and it was magnificent. My boyfriend ordered curry and that was also delicious. Both came with miso soup and salad. The miso soup had very developed flavors and is probably one of the best Ive had and the salad has a delicious dressing of some sort. Both of us had leftovers because the portions were quite large. We also enjoyed the Korean drama playing on the TV ^_^

Food is quite good. Probably best Ramen in Rockville. Portions are quite large. Had a number of apps. Grilled Baby Octopus had less grill taste, but very flavorful sweet sauce. Grilled Beef Tongue was tasty but could use more grill flavor. Buns were nice and soft and the fillings were tasty. There can be a little wait when its busy, but the biggest issue here is finding a parking space during busy times. That might be the only thing that keeps me away.

I work in Rockville, so Im always excited about good eats. Tried this place for the first time and I was astounded! Everything was really good... I got the grilled pork belly w/ the spicy miso broth and it definitely had a nice kick to it. Wasnt too spicy, wasnt too mild. There was SO much flavor, it was hard to breathe because I was eating so fast lol. I also got the Bulgolgi buns which were delicious as well....hot and fresh! This is definitely a must!

This Korean Rockville MAKI place hits the spot. Their Seoul burger and Rockville MAKI is so good. The flavors of their burgers are a party in your mouth. I ordered lotus chips with my burger and they are thin, sweet, and lightly salted. Its an interesting taste that can become addicting. They also have bubble tea and it isnt the best thing but it does the job if you are craving it! Highly recommend their burgers!

This place is fantastic. Theyve got a great variety of flavor bases and meat options. The portions are great and very worth the price. Although I havent had a lot of their sushi offerings, the small amount I have sampled were terrific and much better than most other places in the area. Definitely recommend this place highly. Only drawback is slightly slow service.

I came here for lunch with a colleague. I got a katsudon and he got volcano ramen. The miso soup was way too salty. The pork on my dish was soggy, but it was a large portion. Price was reasonable for the lunch specials. Overall, good customer service, waiter checked on us often. However, the rice dishes were below average. I would recommend getting the ramens.

My boyfriend and I used to go to Maki several times a month but we wont be going back again. The last time we went I found a hard and sharp piece of plastic in my ramen that I almost swallowed. When my boyfriend brought it to the waitress attention she just smiled and offered me a dessert. Im so disappointing because this was one of favorite places to go.

1. Service - Quick, friendly, & attentive. 2. Taste of food and quality of food - Top three ramen places in MD. Portion size was just enough & not too salty. I recommend the Tonkatsu broth with thick noodles. 3. Ambiance/decor - Cozy with modern decor. Not too noisy when busy. 4. Cleanliness - Looked & felt clean throughout.

Strong contender for best ramen in Rockville area. Problem is less food and more parking - shopping strip in which its located is so difficult and crowded at usual eating times that we avoid this place unless we are eating early or late that day. Too bad because we might stop by more regularly if it wasnt such a hassle.

I ordered the tonkatsu ramen. Everything was good about the bowl of ramen except that they arent using ramen noodles. They are more like vermicelli or angel hair pasta: very thin, smooth, straight and flavorless. That is why I didnt give them five stars - otherwise it is a nice spot with good food at a good price.

The ambiance and service at Maki Cafe leaves a bit to be desired, which might be attributed to teething issues as Maki just opened recently. That said, the food is really top notch and well priced. Great sushi, fantastic ramen. There are places in DC where you can pay twice as much for lesser quality chow.

The miso ramen was honestly some of the best ramen Ive ever had, close in comparison to ramen Ive had in Tokyo. I just wish they didnt skimp on the toppings. The wait also took a while, which resulted in my docking a star. Otherwise the flavor of both dishes I got were excellent.
