It took Momofuku coming to DC from NYC to show the world how good DC ramen is. With Toki Underground, Daikaya, Sakuramen, Chaplins and now Oki Bowl, Momofuku can pack their bags back to NYC. Oki Bowl is just south of Dupont Circle in the bottom floor of a row house. Its quirky inside and decorations is a nod to the Japanese. The decorations are a smattering of a variety of themes and the bathroom is neon with electronic parts plastered everywhere. The ramen itself is good. If you like flavor, get the curry chicken ramen. Its a little more coconut milk heavy then the one at Toki Underground, but its still good. The kimchi ramen is not as a spicy but also full of flavor. Toki Underground and Sakuramen are still my favorites in DC, but Oki Bowl still proves DC knows ramen (Take note Momofuku).

Great atmosphere and delicious ramen. We tried the Tom Yum thai-inspired flavour, and it was absolutely remarkable -- except for all those prawn antennae swimming in your soup. Id like this place a lot more if they calmed down with the music a bit (it was blasting at only 7pm, I heard more than one customer complain), as well as adjusting their portion sizes (which leave much to be desired). Compared to other ramen bars/family seatings Ive been to in Toronto, Boston, New York, and Tokyo, their portions are absolutely tiny and not at all substantial, topped with some cilantro and a few strands of noodles and mostly broth (good broth, but nonetheless..broth). Maybe it was just our dishes?

I love the decor but I dont think I will come back just because is a cute restaurant. Its fusion ramen with miso as the traditional Japanese option, the other flavors include curry, Thai, and kimchi (I may have miss another one?). My bf got miso and I got kimchi and both are just mediocre. The pork in miso is tender but is not the best flavor. The egg and noodles are acceptable but the soup base is like what you get from the better quality ramen noodles (not instant but the one in the fridge) you can buy from Japanese grocery stores. My kimchi has plenty of kimchi but is way too salty which luckily came with two fried tofus to help level down the saltiness.

This was probably one of the worst restaurant experiences Ive had in the DC area. I went with a friend of mine, and the food was fine, but the service was absolutely terrible; the girl serving us seemed more annoyed by us than anything else. The entire time we were there, they were blasting their music above our voices so that we had to shout to hear what the other was saying. The lyrics were also way beyond something they should have been playing in public. There are plenty of places to get a good bowl of ramen in the city, but this is not one I would recommend.

I went with my bf after seeing all these good reviews about curry ramen. But dont order it if youre not a sweet broth fan. We requested two types of toppings but got the wrong ones. However, they charge $4 for mushroom toppings, which is no more than 4 thin slices of mushroom which is ridiculous. I can buy 2 boxes of mushrooms in Giant for $4. Servers were hiding at the back of the counter talking, looking emotionless while serving, and took our order without saying anything. Bad bad experience, good decorations tho. Will never be back.

If youre had authentic Ramen in the past, this will fall short both in quality and quantity. Go somewhere else! Music was blasting so unnecessarily loud, to meet a half assed attempt to look funky. Servers never smiled, no hospitality or warmth, stingy about napkins. The Tom Yum ramen had only one piece of prawn in it - whats the point? Miso ramen was alright, had much better. Curry ramen was good but literally a curry with noodles dropped into it - not exactly a true ramen.

This is a great place to go for a casual lunch or dinner but its also a great place to meet friends. The room in his grave and dont miss sharing some little bottles of hot sake which are only about $6 apiece. There are choices for vegetarians comma but there are a couple of different kinds of classic Ramen that are really the best things on the menu. The daycare makes the scene because its Funky Junk Yard Design.

I have eaten here 2 days in a row (with different sets of friends). Delicious. I had the Miso Ramen - seemed like it has less noodles than the Tom and Oki Curry bowls, but the meat in it was tasty, felt 90% full. Also got Oki Curry - very spicy, had both regular AND crunchy ramen noodles, the chicken was tender, and this bowl was very filling feeling 120% full. Highly recommend this place.

Great ramen. One of the few places to get ramen in that area. Amazing ambiance, can get crowded. Seating can be an issue during lunch hours. Amazing portions (come with an empty stomach). Recommend the chicken curry and the pork belly. Dont recommend the spicy ball, it doesnt improve taste. Take out available always, so can be enjoyed even if seating is an issue.

I arrived for a late lunch so there was only about 4 of us in there. Service was very quick. I ordered the miso ramen with a soft shell crab. I asked for it on the side but they put it in the bowl... Soggy crab not so good. The ramen itself was pretty good. Noodles were cooked al dente as I prefer it. Broth was flavorful and full. The pork was a bit overcooked.

Fantastic Ramen in a couple of varieties, each excellent in its own way. The space is a little small, so timing is key to getting there when seats are open vs waiting outside for a table. The staff is very busy, but fast and cool. You might have to get their attention if its super busy, but theyre pretty aware. Definitely use the bathroom here.

Very interesting place. The space is very eclectic and cool. The service was great. If youre expecting a traditional ramen, this isnt it. Its what I would consider a Thai interpretation of the classic. With that mindset, they can be tastie but unusual. This place is worth a try if youre feeling experimental with a bowl of warmth.

The service is exquisite, the ramen is out of this world, and the bathroom is a disco party. I had the kimchi ramen and I wanted it to never end. What a flavor experience. The broth was seasoned to perfection, the tofu was crispy, and the egg was the perfect accoutrement. You cant get a better ramen experience in DC in my opinion.

The food was fast and good. But the waitress during our second visit was the worst waitress Ive met my entire life. She didnt ask for our drinks and for my husbands order. She just turned her back on us after getting MY order. He didnt go there to watch me eat, you know. She didnt get a tip for sure.

OKI Bowl DC is one of my favorite places to eat when its cold outside. The ramen is delicious! I highly recommend the curry ramen with chicken. All of the ingredients are well prepared, and the spice level is great. Only con is that the broth is a bit oily.

Parking around here is crazy! but the food is worth it. I went in for lunch and got the kimichi ramen with pork. It was delicious and the service was great. If you get a chance check out the restroom its like stepping into a scene from Back to the Future
