To second a previous reviewers comment, this is Richmonds much-needed ramen go-to. They have a plethora of options with authentic ingredients, as well as a some side dishes to try. I highly highly recommend the miso ramen - its become my husband and my staple order whenever we go (well try something new, and have one order of that, which we then share). The gomoku ramen was also very good. As is the tonkotsu. Their milk tea is also delicious! The staff are also very sweet and super accommodating; if you want something changed or something added, they take care of it (we both like to add naruto to whatever ramen were eating). Theres usually plenty of seating, and the high ceilings create a nice atmosphere. Personally, I think the shio ramen is a little bland, but other than that, Id recommend pretty much everything on the menu. If you want good ramen, this is the place to visit!

My wife and I are big fans of Japanese ramen noodles done right. I will say that this is the best ramen place that we have found in Richmond. That is not to say that it is the best example of Japanese ramen however. We had the shoyu ramen and found it to be a little bit bland. We are used to having ramen that is deep in flavor, broths that taste like they have been stewing for Hours. This process did not give us that sense. Also we like ramen noodles that have a little bit of truth to them. The ramen noodles we had here gave way too easily, almost as if they were a little over cooked. The service was very nice and the restaurant was clean, and efficient.

Self seating with table side service. Our first experience -so we asked for help, which the waitress did a great job providing it. We chose some great and tastey sounding options. The meal was delicious. Learning previously that loud slurps during noodle enjoyment- we ate happily. I wish I was a local, but it was worth seeking out during our short RVA visit. If youre in Richmond missing your moms chicken noodle... maybe you have a small cold? I would order this, made my stomach warm and happy for hours later. I would recommend this to all my friends, and look forward to visiting Richmond again and getting another bowl of Ramen!

Awesome owner and amazing food. My boyfriend and I lived in Japan for years and have been on the hunt for authentic ramen ever since coming back. We didnt expect to find it in downtown RVA, across from the Poe museum, in a tiny place run by a man from Burma. The owner is sweet and likes to share stories about his time in Japan, and he definitely takes pride in his food. This is one of the very few places Ive found in the US that makes their own stocks and noodles from scratch, and damn does it show! Every ramen Ive had has been stellar, but I personally recommend the tantanmen, while my bf adores their tonkotsu.

Ive never had a real ramen experience until my boyfriend took me here. So, Ill share his words since hes tried authentic ramen before...Its as close to authentic as you can get in the RVA area. Prices are a little higher than the old ramen shop that closed down but the quality is great and you get more for the price you pay! Theyre busiest during the lunch and dinner hours but between its pretty slow so service is quick! I got the gomoku which was $1 off as the special it is was so delicious! The flavor was amazing! My boyfriend got the Shoryu (which is his go to every time he comes) and it did not disappoint.

I was lucky enough to travel to Japan for work. As a ramen enthusiast, I was elated, and I did indeed eat quite a lot. While I must admit nothing stateside has ever quite matched the best of it, Grace Noodle certainly comes close. Its the best Ive had in Richmond hands down, and probably the best Ive had in America outside of New York (against which its honestly on par). The dumplings are also stellar. Im not sophisticated enough to know how truly authentic it is, but by my judgment, its delicious.

Had the Gomoku Ramen and the grilled dumplings. Amazing food. Portion size was huge. I could hardly finish and I was starved when I got there. The place isnt much for atmosphere (simple, no art/decorations, just chairs and tables, no booths), but the food really was great. Perfect for a drizzly day when you need something to warm you up.

I had a great experience here with a friend here while I was on holiday. The atmosphere is pretty modest and wont win anybody over, but the food is absolutely delicious. The variety was very good without having to have a gigantic menu and the taste was very authentic. I definitely will be coming here again.

I was stationed in Japan for 2 years with the navy and frequented ramen houses and since have been trying to find anything that even came close. The ramen served in this eatablishment was the best Ive had in a very long time, I felt like I was back in Japan. Will definitely be returning if I am able

Very good. Pork ramen, miso, and shrimp fried rice. We will definitely be back. Broth was perfect. They gave great service. Also, there was easy access to three different chilli upgrades on the table. The noodle was just a touch overcooked, but still five stars for East Coast ramen.

Love this place. Prices are great and ramen is delicious. I have not yet seen another place outside of NYC that offers cold noodles. I prefer this place over Shoryuken - doesnt give off that college kid vibe and the food is great. I just wish it was open on Sundays!

Noodles were mushy. They forgot to bring out my appetizer. No music at first, so with only 6 people dining, it felt like a library. Then, after about 30 minutes they turned on Christian dance music. Nothing special here and there are better choices close by.

Had the Gomoku Ramen and it was great! Asked if they could make it spicy, and they sure did. Wife didnt like the sauce that was on the fried noodles, but the ingredients inside were fresh. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Well be going back for sure.

The ramen here is very filling and authentic. A bowl will run you around $10-12. Weve eaten in and gotten it for takeout and have yet to be disappointed. PS - This is a non-alcoholic restaurant and the sodas are served in cans.

Have eaten here a couple of times. Every time was somethign different and each time very very good. Also cant beat the service, always done with a smile. ... It wont hurt to get the mango smoothie... get it!

Fried noodle is so good. My son usually doesnt eat noodle but he ate the whole plate. Price is in reasonable range. Staffs are friendly. We love this place and highly recommend to everyone who loves ramen.

My favorite is the miso ramen, and its absolutely the best. My girlfriend gets the Gomuku ramen and she loves it. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to try actual ramen and not the fake stuff.
