My girlfriend and I gave this a try for date night. Im not sure where to start! The food is outstanding and served fresh. The chips we were served as we sat were still warm, the salsa looked as if it was just made, and they also give you a ranchero sauce to complement the heat from the salsa. Its spicy!! I ordered the Hawaiian Fajita not knowing what exactly to except; I was blown away. The sweet of the pineapple cut down the salt from the Canadian bacon. The blend of fruit, vegetables, meats, and gooey cheese really hit spot and then some. The service was great, we felt as if I was part of the family. Everyone greeted you who saw you, and as you left they all thanked you. Our waiter was one of a kind and full of personality, he kept asking if I wanted tequila. I smiled each time, super persistent guy. The restaurant itself is massive. Im not even sure I saw it all, and every table was loaded. If that doesnt say a lot about the restaurant then I dont know what does. Next time Ill give the drinks menu a shot. And maybe some tequila. #ScottMcNuttReviewsRVA

Service was good. Food was OK. The menu is extensive. Disappointed that you CANNOT get a shredded beef taco. Only specific menu items are made with shredded beef. And the shredded beef cannot be substituted for the ground beef. I did order the ground beef taco.. but was served a chicken taco. There was absolutely no difference in the chicken burrito and the chicken enchilada.. except for the extremely limited amount of sauce vs. salsa on top. Biggest disappointment was being charged $1.80 for a side of shredded LETTUCE ! and $1.30 for a side of sour cream.. really? There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants out there.

We come here usually every weekend The waiter now recognizes us. Every week, I ask for a mojito. He has been telling me for several weeks, they could not make it because they did not have mint. Tonight, they went out to get mint and made me the first Mojito that I have had here. Can I just say, Amigos takes care of their clients. Food is always top shelf, Mojito was just as I wanted and our waiter was perfect as always. Perfect food, perfect waiter. Why go anywhere else?

An interesting change from the previous restaurant (El Toro Loco) that occupied this spot. New furniture and decorations are nice but the change to a slightly more upscale Mexican cuisine is probably the kicker. Table-side guacamole might be a fad in the US right now but its still really nice to have fresh, not frozen and reconstituted, guacamole with warm chips and they do a delightful job of providing this.

Rodolfo Padilla the owner of this restaurant did not pay my services as waitress saying that my lack of experience cost him to lose clients. When he hired me he knew my lack of experience and I never received a proper training, neither most importantly a proper supervision. Does anyone knows about a lawyer to get my proper payment? I can tell that he owns the restaurant just taming people like me.

Queen quesadilla tasted like tuna. Kids hot dog was microwaved and kids quesadilla was pitiful. Our waiter and a strong body oder. Nothing impressed me except their table side guacamole was pretty good. Not to mention it took way too long to get our food. Much better options for Mexican in Richmond than this. I would recommend the Mexico on Horsepen easily over this establishment.

I work in the business buildings for 1.5 years and cant believe I just went here for the first time yesterday. The customer service is remarkable. The staff were very helpful and made my lunch order vegetarian with no problem. The mushroom quesadilla I asked for instead of meat was amazing. I had to share with my coworkers and they agreed. Will definitely be returning. Probably today!

One of the best Mexican restaurants in the area. However it is plagued by a location that is not easily visible from Broad Street. The menu is quite large and offers a lot of items not found at other Mexican restaurants in the area. The chips and salsa are above average as well.
