For ten plus years Bob Evans has been our go to restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. However, I will not be going to the Oakton location because of the last two experiences Ive had. My daughter and I went for breakfast on a weekday. Not only did we have to wait about 8 minutes to be seated with no one else in line, but with less than 15 people in the restaurant it took us 25 minutes to get our food. After being in the ER for the afternoon I decided to call to get a family meal. A gentleman named Bill took my order and told me the order would be ready in 15 minutes. When my daughter went to get the order, Bill insisted he did not take the order and no one by our name had called so we must have called a different location. This is not acceptable! For several years the staff was quite stable and very very efficient. Now theres not a familiar face in the restaurant and the customer service is dreadful.

Im here now...345pm. Only one here. Waited longer than I ever had to get someone to seat me. Waitress took way too long to take my order...do prep work. After I ordered it took 15 minutes to get my salad. Remember only person eating. I then noticed the cook put my salad up and it sat there for 8 minutes until I actually got up and asked for it. I overheard the waitress say she had things to do. I originally asked for extra dressing..I then asked someone else for more and I could hear her complain that what I received was more than usual already..nobody asked if my food was good. No checking at if I wanted more water. Again...the only one here. Never coming back. Sorry. Food good...service today was terrible. Servers name was Keyira.

I had a great experience with John W. at the Oakton Virginia location. He was friendly, took my elderly mother and myself to a table where there wasnt any vents or fans because he noticed that she was cold from the air conditioning, and waited on us. He helped us out with a coupon when I asked about senior discounts, explaining that the menu had only limited items and the breakfast that my mother ordered was not eligible for a discount. It was fantastic service from someone who was looking out for his customers and very much appreciated by me. The food was also very good.

This Bob Evans has been going down hill for awhile now. It is now on my list to not come back here. Sad, I like Bob Evans food. Ordered the country fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Steak was luke warm. potatoes had no gravy and the green beans were cold like just came from a can. Another person had the turkey dinner. Cold and no cranberry dressing. finally had to ask . Gravy was non-existent. Truly sad, sad, sad.

Just got a long, black hair in my beef vegetable soup, luckily I saw it first because it was sitting right on the top when I opened the lid. The baked potato didnt come with sour cream, butter or anything, completely plain. No fork-ware included in to-go order. I usually dont leave reviews but this ended up being an expensive dinner I just threw away and Im left hungry.

Server was good, food was what we ordered and expected - No surprises. However, the assistant manager on duty was horrible: unfriendly, didnt look me in the eye when he spoke. It appeared that having customers there was the last thing he wanted. I will avoid this location in the future.
