We were traveling to Virginia Tech and was looking for a good restaurant for a late dinner. We read the reviews for the Jalisco Mexican Restaurant and decided to stop on and give it a try. The reviews were spot on. The food was incredible. We ordered the fajitas for two. We have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants and ordered fajitas. The serving was the largest we have ever seen. It could actually feed four people or more. The service was great and very fast. We will definitely stop here again and will recommend it to all of our friends who travel the I81 route. Excellent!!!!

Holy guacamole Batman, this is the best Mexicali food Ive ever had in my life. The salsa was out of this world and they bring Mexicali cole slaw with your chips and salsa. The margaritas were good and strong and the portions were oversized. I was stuffed when I left the place. Dont be fooled by the "hole-in-the-wall" feel of the place. The food was outstanding and the best darn food, probably, in this part of rural Virginia.

if you havent tried this place yet, youre missing out ! my wife & I stop there every time we are in the area. food is fantastic. service is great. the fajita burrito is the bomb. everything weve had there is authentic and delish. even late night, no problem. what are you waiting for? get in your car and go to jalisco in new market!

Loved it! Visiting New Market for the first time came across Jalisco... authentic Mexican food Waitress was very nice .. took care of our whole table of 8. Margaritas were delicious!! If you are visting or just passing by New Market you have to stop by this restaurant. Food was awesome and reasonable prices.

Im not local to the area so I cant compare it to anywhere around but the service was good. There was a steady coming of regulars it seemed. The food was very good and filling. A bit pricey but you get very large portions. I got the quesadilla Loca for $14 but it was huge and very flavorful.

Ordered fajitas and got two human hairs in the fish and mushrooms even though we asked for no mushrooms. We then returned the dish to the kitchen and got another plate WITH MUSHROOMS AGAIN. Asked for a manager and was told there wasnt one here currently. Highly advise avoiding this place.

Waiting on a load at New Market poultry, decided to walk over and give it a shot. Well worth it!!! Very friendly staff, freshly made and great tasting cuisine. Burrito Fajita was awesome as was the Steak Chimi. Will definitely go back if Im ever in this neck of the woods again..

Very enjoyable food with a pleasant atmosphere that reminds me of the Mexican Restaurants I fell in love with during a trip to Southern California. The food was made with just the right amount of spice and flavor, and they sell good tequila as well! Very enjoyable experience.

Really excellent Mexican. We were visiting from Arlington and ended up eating here both nights because we liked it so much. Cheese enchiladas were superb, chori pollo was delicious. Great margaritas, friendly service, and low prices. Strongly recommended.

Genuine Tex/Mex - well prepared and tasty. Chips come with excellent salsa and spicy coleslaw. Service is good, place is clean and menu is comprehensive. More like something you would expect in San Antonio or LA than New Market. Prices are reasonable.

The place is a bit shabby but clean. The food is a bit bland. Prices were reasonable. There is indoor and outdoor seating where you can bring your dog. It was ok for a stop off the highway, but was not a destination restaurant for us.

We were traveling with our small dog and looking for a place with tables outside. Two tables on the sidewalk worked fine, though it was hot sitting in the sun. Chili relleno was great, service great.
