I will usually go to this place because its a genuine ny style pizza. But last night I was alone and wanting a small pizza with garlic knots. When the pizza finally arrived it wasnt the pizza I was expecting, instead of a crispy base it was raw. Im not the person to call and complain but I did and my choices were either; get a new pizza fully cooked or 20% off my next pizza. I have hungry people so I already put the pizza in the oven like a papa murphys pizza. The worker asked how many bites I took out of it incase it could be resold...Completely against health code in most if not all states! If those are the questions being asked Im not planning on coming back... do you want to get someones mistake pizza that they can resell? Super bummed about my favorite spot. Also a week before I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt but my garlic knots were just bread with no garlic seasoning on them. Seriously, if youre in cap hill go to sexy pizza instead

I have been ordering from here a couple of times a week for at least the last month or so... Even with the rude service when you call. Last week i didnt realize the delivery guy had given me all my change back and as hes walking out our he says "Thanks for the 50 cents". I apologize and give him money a tip which Im not obligated to do but I do. Then I get my sandwich and it is piping hot but very burnt. I let it slide because I order often and this was the first time. Well I order again tonight and the delivery guy is late. He is rude again even with my tip and my sandwich is burnt yet again but this time, it is barely warm at best! It is very disappointing for one because I dont have money to throw away and 2, I really liked this place! Now, there is no way I would spend another dime here. Horrible service and from the complaints I see here, they dont care to change it!

Benny blancos is the definition of hit or miss. I go here all the time since its in my neighborhood, and its cheaper and usually better than sliceworks (not always). Sometimes I feel that its the best slice of NY style pizza one can get in Denver, other times Im severely disappointed with the burnt crust and cold pizza. I thought that ordering an entire pizza vs. just a slice or 2 would be more consistently quality, but not necessarily true. Still, theyre open til 3am which definitely gives them an advantage over other neighborhood joints. EDIT: Pizza on an August Sunday afternoon was on point but a bit cold by the time I made the 8min walk home. I stuck it in oven for 2min and it was bomb. Cant beat 5 bucks for 2 giant slices

What are you cry babies talking about? This place gives you pizza by the slice at 2.50 plus .50 cent for each topping. Place is amazing! I love it. Great place for after bar/club/tavern scene as well. Owners a straight shooter giving you hot, fresh pizza at a profit margin thats unbeatable in Cap Hill. Dont like it, theres a Dominos a couple blocks down. Food is great and cheap! A Cap Hill original. Half the negative reviews are most likely just a bunch of uptight tourists wanting 1st class service with their 2.50 cent slice of pizza. Who the fuc% pays for 2.50 a slice of pizza with a credit card? Bring cash! Its a mom and pop place just trying to make a dollar out of 15 cents. The "self-absorbed" need to stick to Dominos.

I have lived in Colorado for two months and was beginning to worry whether I would ever find good pizza out here. I nearly didnt, literally. I walked right past this place twice without seeing it. But, I am so glad I stopped in. The pizza was amazing. Im hooked. I also feel the need to comment on the staff of Benny Blancos. I read these reviews prior to making my dinner decision. So, as a result, I was keenly aware of the attitudes of the staff. I am from the midwest where politeness is a way of life. I had interactions with two employees and neither could have been more courteous. In fact, the place was packed and they were polite and professional with every customer. I will return again and again.

So, im vegan and therefore a jerk when it comes to ordering food. A lot of my friends said this place had awesome pizza and breads and such... I was bummed to find out that I couldnt really eat any of the pizza, but the guys who were working there at the time (guy in a red hat, maybe named chris?) took the time to look up ingredients and kindly disclosed what was in their food. it turned out that their pastas were vegan and that their red sauce was too, so they kindly made me one. food was good, great late night pick me up in the neighborhood and at a good price. and everyone working there was having a good time and we joked around. highly recommended.

I had rude service on the phone, including being hung up on after being totally OK with a 90-minute wait. Then, when the delivery was longer than 90 minutes, I called to check on it and they were rude again! Then the delivery guy was rude and told me he was early, though he was clearly later than the time quoted-but I wouldnt blame him, personally, if he hadnt said, "No! Im early!" In addition to the rude service, this was the first veggie pizza I ever ordered that had pepperoni and sausage on it. It also wasnt good. I had a couple bites and tossed the rest. Save your time and money and just grab a bag of chips. Itll taste better and treat you like a human.

WORST EMPLOYEE AWARD! On Monday, June 8th, at approx. 10:40pm, my friend and I placed two seperate orders for 4 slices of pizza. The guy getting our pizza said "god, thats a lot of pizza for just two people".. What the @#$%^?? I cancelled my order and restrained myself from telling him what an @#$%$#@ he was. When we arrived he greeted us by saying "I dont work here". Very nice. A fantastic choice for a person to represent your business. You could have angels floating out of your pizzas and I still would pay one single cent to be treated that way.

Benny Blancos is the pizza joint that made Denver great when I moved here 12 years ago. their pizza is hands down the best in Denver! Ive tried them all Sexy Pizza close but not quite there. Cosmos is better the Sexy Pizza but falls short to Bennys. You might not get ahold of someone when theyre busy but thats a sign that their pizza is amazing. Its worth the wait and if you cant wait then just order from somewhere else. Benny thanks for being a part of Denver for so many years and making this city a great place to live.
