Been going here for years and love this place. I have a friend who lives in the area and has been quickly traveling through their vast beer selection, while Ive mainly just been drinking their delicious root beer. My whole family enjoys the food here, my dad simply refuses to order something other than the Beef Stroganoff. He says as long as they serve it, thatll be the only thing he orders from here. My whole family meanwhile is addicted to the Jameson Whiskey Pound cake. Sadly they changed ice cream about a year or two ago, but from what I understand that was a choice made by the creators of the ice cream (a local dairy in MD I believe) and they simply started adding less whisky to the ice cream, so I wont hold it against the Old Brogue. The place is often crowded, though weve never had to wait very long, and holds events regularly. Their calendar is on their website if youre curious and what band is playing when. Judging from the other reviews on here, if you so much as think this might be your kind of place, youll enjoy it.

Nice outdoor seating, a little cramped inside. We were seated right by a service area, awfully loud with dishes and talking of employees for a lunch on 11/29/15. Not the best spot for a table. Could use maybe a LITTLE more lighting, definitely dank and dark. But I ordered the local buffalo (bison) burger and my wife ordered a Flatbread for lunch. We shared the Irish sausage in a pastry puff, that was awesome! The Flatbread was very tasty, and my bison burger (ordered medium well) was medium rare. Despite the undercook, it was very very good! I had to mention the undercook to our awesome server, just in case I didnt feel well later (lol). But I was fine. Local bison, most likely fairly fresh. The beer selection was great, nice clean flavors. The lines to the kegs must be cleaned on a regular basis, some places you notice they are not. Only 4 stars due to a bad table placement and undercooked bison meat. But other than that, we had a great experience. Wed certainly go back again!

The sausage was overly salty, and the peas were so wrinkled that they didnt have much flavor at all. It seemed like they had been frozen and then steamed. The waiter only visited our table twice in the 50 minutes that we were there and I had to ask for another drink. 2 stars for the atmosphere and theming, but they food and service is something to be improved upon. Especially at the prices they are charging. $6.50 for a cider and over $16 for some sausage, potatoes, and frozen peas.

Quick service, polite staff, good drinks, and GREAT food! We got and shared the quiche of the day (mushroom, broccoli, and onion), the potato skins, and the spinach leek and artichoke dip. All of them were beyond good. Best of any of those things weve had in years! The waiter was prompt to take orders, bring food, remove plates, refill drinks, and all did it with a smile. We will definitely visit again and again!

Excellent place to grab a beer and enjoy an evening on the spacious front patio with friends. Friendly staff and decent food (nothing special, but it hits the spot) make this one of the best bars Ive frequented. They have a lot of live music there, which is cool, but acoustically, the Brogue isnt really designed for it. I spend most of my nights there outside, so its not really an issue.

Love this place. Im a native of Great Falls, so Ive seen the years before any businesses were there. The Brogue is a welcome place to have dinner and some fun. I love the house ranch dressing, so I always add a salad. Its a fun place to have a beer and chat with friends, and that is, after all, what pubs are supposed to be. Enjoy!

I really enjoy this pub. They have a good selection of beers on tap and great food. Service was friendly and prompt. Live music on Friday nights and a coffee house next to it that they convert to an additional dining room in the evenings. Great atmosphere with TV for sports. Appears that locals like it here too. Nice and cozy.

Great Irish fare with a very cozy atmosphere. Very good food for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They seem to be fairly dog friendly for their front patio dining area as we have brought ours a couple of times and they had a little water bowl available for dogs too. Service was friendly and quick as well.

Outside, terrace and indoor pub seating with delicious traditional pub and healthy entrees, apps, salads and dessert options. Good looking sandwich menu, though I havent tried them. Ive enjoyed everything from shepherds pie to citrus glazed salmon, their grrat bread pudding. Highly recommend it!

Been going to The Old Brogue for about 20 years, and over that time the menu selection and quality has been consistently great. The atmosphere is perfect for a quiet date, or a night out with a bunch of friends. The brogue is warm, inviting and a fixture of Great Falls.

Have eaten here many times here over the past few years. The food and drink are very good and delicious. Our professional waiter was very friendly, helpful and informative By The Way. The medium sized dining rooms are well maintained, organized and taken care of.

If you want Irish cuisine this is the place. I will say the only thing missing to really feel like you are in Ireland is the staff. I would like to see more interaction, fun, laughing, conversation and more music/singing. Really make the customers feel at home.

Enjoyed their ambience of an old Irish Inn! Also, they do outside patio dining, but the service there was a bit spotty, as if they werent sure how to manage things there. The basic pub food is always good here, so its a good choice if youre in the area.

the Old Brogue is only one of many local Irish/UK-style "pubs" but it is BY FAR the MOST authentic pub I have ever been in! Their menu has gotten rather cosmo of late, but the ambiance, core cuisine and tap selection is still the best!

Go there twice a week. Food is consistently good. Service is great but they know me. Never disappointed anyone I have referred. Patio dining in front during warm weather is the best spot. Bar can be noisy when busy.

Great local pub. I was a guest here while visiting college friends in Fairfax. Above average food and atmosphere. I wish the whole world were run by Irish bartenders: efficient, down low and smooth.

Vegetarians and carnivores were all happy tonight. I had a unique and delicious butternut squash salad. Others in the party enjoyed Irish classics. We enjoyed Smithwicks, Guinness and Victory Pils.

Back porch is a great place to hang out on Sunday afternoons. The salmon and steak salads are worth the trip. Service can be a little slow, but its all good on a lazy afternoon.

Polite servers and great breakfast sandwiches. Aside from being a full blown restaurant and bar they are co-hosts of the Great Falls Saturday morning cars and coffee event.
