I dont understand all the bad reviews... It is normal for there to be flies in a kitchen. Only restaurants with doors that blow air outside when you open them would keep flies out of the building. Unless you hire someone to whack the bugs all day long, they will get inside, even in the most upscale of restaurants. My mother and I ate here once (not from the area) and we did not have high expectations walking in -- its a small town, but the place was nice enough. The food was well cooked in front of us and not bland. The decorations were endearing and I admired the nice light hardwood furniture. I had no complaints about the atmosphere or food and we both left with smiles.

I dont know where Tim and Susan got their sushi from because it couldnt have been from KJ. Theyre probably from the competing restaurants, but this sushi was incredible! So fresh - wasabi was made just right, their soy sauce wasnt diluted or too salty, the rice was warm and fresh and had just enough sweetness. It was great! I had the same KJ Hibachi roll, spicy tuna roll, shrimp tempura roll, and some miscellaneous nigiri (crab stick, tuna, etc). It tasted on par with the sushi I get at some of the top notch places in NYC. But dont just take my word for it - try it for yourself and decide.

wow..talk about disappointing. I waited 28 minutes to get my below average food today. The place was about 30% full. I got my food and didnt even get as much as an apology for the wait. Ive been to 5 star restaurants that take less time. Not to mention while youre waiting, you have to sit in electric chair-styled uncomfortable seats. Never, ever, ever going back and I wouldnt recommend it to anyone or their dog.

I eat here regularly because the food is so good and the staff are so friendly. They know me by name and what I will order. Service can be a little slow, because they prepare everything fresh right in front of the counter while you are watching, but its well worth the wait. The "Sushi Boy with Yellowfin" Sushi platter is my favorite, but I also like the hibachi ($5 for a huge plate!).

The food is pretty good, but it has changed since the lady that was always there left. Since she left the "steak" in the hibachi steak is way different. Very salty and cheap tasting. Sort of pricy. Didnt mind paying $40 for a meal for 2 until the management changed. The taste of the food is just so different. Still good service but just wish they had left the ingredients the same.

Awesome hibachi food. Very polite staff and very clean restaurant. For all the food you get its a resonable price but expect to pay $20-30 for a two person visit. It can seem a little slow due to the food being cooked right after you order it.

The food was so dry and over cooked. The scallops & shrimp were rubbery they were so over cooked, and the steak & chicken were so dry we chewed and chewed trying to eat our food. The taste was greasy and heavy. We will never eat there again.

Pretty good, sushi is a little expensive for what it was but I enjoyed my experience. For the prices I would expect more than styrofoam plates but everything tasted good I suppose
