We wanted to try a new Korean restaurant from the usually loud, k-pop blaring place in Chantilly. We wanted a more quite family dinner place. Ko Hyang tucked in the dark side street of Chantilly was bustling when we stepped in. That is always a good sign. An if you wanted authentic Korean where the waitress barely spoke a word of English this is the spot. The service we got was a bit slow as our banchan didn’t even come out until we asked for it. They ran out of the pancake at 6pm on a Sat night? The food came out at a rather turtle pace so if you are in a hurry this isn’t the spot. The food felt like home cooking in your Korean aunts kitchen. All our dishes eventually made its way to the table as by that time we are pretty hungry. I love the burnt rice at the bottom of the galbi or Kalbi dolsot. No two Korean restaurant can seem to spell the same dish the same way. As for the spicy rice cake know as DdukBokGi or ‎Tteokbokki but whatever it is called it was good. Still firm and the sauce slight spicier than I’ve had in other places before. The Naji Bokum was also really good but slight way too much onions. We were happy with all the dishes and to find a new Korean restaurant without trekking to Annandale. I’ll have to come back to try some of the other more popular items like the steam pig trotters and the sausage which also was a very popular item.

We were staying near Dulles Airport and wanted to try something other than american food or fast food. We found this place from Google Map and thinking it probably has Korean Tofu. We were glad that we were wrong. It is a more traditional Korean restaurant. Most of the patrons there were Korean. Their specialties are Korean Sausages (Soon Dae)and all kinds of different stews. We ordered a small sausage, a beef stew (Somory Gook Bap) and a pork stew (Gam Ja Tang). The sausage taste pretty good and has no meat in it. It only contains noodle and vegetables. The beef stew was just ok. The beef was too hard but the soup was not bad. The pork stew was the best. The pork was very tender. The soup was tasty and spicy.

My wife whose Korean and I tried to order 3 different meat dishes, galbi, bulgogi and spicey chicken we were told that they out. I read another review by another customer that had the same problem a couple of days ago. Its like they must be saving those dishes for special customers. I dont think Im going to waste my time going there again. I hope it was not because of my color, doesnt make any sense to be open on a Friday until 10PM and be out of the most popular dishes. We were there about 6PM.

I do not usually put any reviews and this is my firat time because I am so PISSED OFF.My family just got kicked out here because there were 7 people waiting. The owner came to us because we had a 7 month old baby and 5 people were sitting in the table for 8. Worst experience ever. They only have table for 4 ppl, so we had to put two tables together. The owner was so rude. I DO NOT recommend this cRapp restaurant.

Difference between a good restaurant and some crappy one is if they are out of the ingredient then they dont serve you some frozen piece of something thats been in the freezer too long and tell the customer we are out. People please try to understand this. also this place is more for weekday worker crowd thus being out of food on a Friday night.

Authentic Korean Food... my friends and I often are the only non-Koreans there. This just shows how authentic and delicious the food is. I tried the blood sausage for the first time there... now, I really like it. I love the short rib soup, and I had it with rice. Everything I tried is delicious. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent. The service was not. I would go back for the food, but would probably opt for take out based on my experience with the waitress here. She gets the job done, but is not very friendly in the process.

Ive been denied service 3 different times. Each time telling me they were sold out of whatever I asked for, even when I changed my order. Youd think the only color theyd care about is green.

Solid Korean variety of basic dishes. They serve soon dae dishes too. I prefer eating here when I dont want to travel further out to Annandale or Centerville.
