My roommate and I will never go back here because the bouncers and security were SO rude and actually manhandled my tiny roommate because we didnt pay the cover the minute we came in the bar. We werent sure whether our friends were there, and so we were standing at the door calling them, since it was under 30 degrees outside and we were sober (unlike the drunk underage girls without coats who they let in, who clearly didnt realize it was the middle of winter given their alcohol haze), and the guy taking cover actually physically took hold of my roommate and pushed us out the door. I tried to explain the situation to him, but he started yelling and then barred the door. We werent trying to get back in and werent trying to be confrontational, I just tried to interrupt him to say sorry and this is what we were doing. He was NOT having that! When I asked the bouncer outside to refer me to the manager because I wanted to make a complaint, he told me the crazy guy whod kicked us out was the manager. Now how about that for a friendly, neighborhood bar? I would not ever recommend this place to anyone, even if they do have good cover bands.

Im not sure if they were going for a dive bar vibe, but thats the vibe I got off of it. One of the only bars Ive ever been to in my life that doesnt serve local beers. How can a bar not serve a single local beer, and instead offer only domestic beers? Ive had better selection at a TGI Fridays. The bar food was adequate, we got everything from shrimp to burgers to chicken fingers and it was your basic bar food with no complaints. The only upside was the bartender that was serving us on the patio was friendly and attentive, although it wasnt that busy. Overall, an underwhelming bar in Clarendon. For having the namesake of Clarendon, it certainly does not embody the quality or standards of the many bars that are available in Clarendon. It wasnt a horrible experience, but I would definitely not head back here anytime soon.

HORRIBLE FOOD. Have lived in Clarendon for 4 years and know all the establishments very well. I wanted to give it one star but gave it the extra star because the beer specials on Thursdays are very cheap. Although the food is honestly horrible. Mikey below clearly works there or something. I have had , mac n cheese and salmon (prob not the smartest idea) there and both times it destroyed my stomach. I get that its a bar, but you are in the middle of Clarendon so there is no excuse why you have bad food. All of the waiters there literally have no personality and the doormen are always rude. WITHOUT A DOUBT MY LEAST FAVORITE PLACE IN CLARENDON ACROSS THE BOARD!

Unusually rude staff, even by bar standards. Refused to serve a friend with a non-Virginia license. The [state-issued] ID clearly stated she was over 21, but whatever. The rest of us get drinks for ourselves. Then, without asking, they send three bouncers over to where were standing (we couldnt sit, since they dont allow bar users to sit at the...bar tables...even though the place is empty) and demand that she leave. We wont be returning, but its no big loss. The place smells, the food sucks, and the drink prices arent competitive for the area.

Bartender was extremely unpleasant, and the place smelled of stale beer. Will not be visiting again. Was empty when all the neighboring bars were full of patrons, which should tell you something about this business. If you ever plan on running some sort of successful business you should probably not act like a pompous ass towards paying customers. I will go out of my way in the future to ensure none of my friends or associates ever visit this establishment.

The staff is RUDE! The bouncers are idiots and dont recognize an international drivers license. So I guess it is a no no if you are an international tourist who wants to drink the night away but not want to risk carrying the passport. The drinks are over priced and the bar gets over crowded. They do have some good live performances, but the rude staff makes me not want to go back there....EVER!

The reason that I went to Clarendon Grill was to see the 90s cover band White Ford Bronco. The experience that I had at the bar was quite exceptional. I didnt actually eat I only went for beverages but the service was extremely quick and the beers were cold. It was a little crowded but it was not out of the ordinary. I would definitely go back for a Happy Hour or to just grab some food.

Just watched a bouncer allow a girl to collapse in front of him while openly cussing out another person for trying to help her. "Giving her water wont save her life, hero." Isnt really a good thing for a bouncer to say. They should really be looked at for who they hire.

This place is better for there night life atmospher rather than their table side manner. Food isnt bad but its not a place Id pick of all the other great restaurants to visit in DC. If you love having a good night out then this can be the club to hit up for you.

I only go here Monday night for salsa/bachata dancing, but its always well organized, fun, and the instructor is great. The open dance time is also excellent, good dancers and good DJ. Bartender is friendly and quick to help you out, food is standard bar food.

I like coming here for the salsa on Monday nights. I havent had dinner here, but the salsa dancing is great. Yes, they do ask for $5 cover, and they can be a bit strict about IDs (I think one time they refused to accept my friends green card as an ID).

Easily the best place for live bands in the Clarendon area. Expect a cover charge during popular weekend nights and having to squeeze through an overcrowded bar. This place also has an awesome Thursday night happy hour for draft beers and appetizers!

Worse bar Ive been to, bouncer let my whole group in except for me because apparently I had already been in there,he then proceeded to hit me in the chest really hard and bruised it, I will never go here again, very terrible experience

Unfortunately there are rarely more than a handful of salsa/bachata dancers on their Monday night salsa. However over the past 8 years I have really enjoyed the style of the instructor Keith Givens. He breaks it down well.

Where the longtime Arlington locals hang out. Good beer selection, staff and wonderful chicken wings (as well as other bar food staples). Come for the football on many TV screens in the fall.

Bad service, sat 20 minutes and none of the bartenders asked what I wanted. Walked across to Mister days, instant service. Gave 3 cause of salsa night.
