I heard a lot about this place so I decided to go with my friends, who by the way know the owner and invited me to come there, when I reached the front door, the guy at the door obviously asked for my ID, I showed him my ID, as Im not a US citizen so I showed them my countries ID, which I have been carrying and always have shown at any bar, club or place I went, he quickly replied oh I cant let you in cause I have to see your passport, I told him that i cant carry my passport to a club, I can easily loose it, he didnt listen to me was as usual rude and arrogant, I wonder what do these people think of them selves, I insisted to see the manager and my friends who were inside also came out, I showed the manager the ID he said ABC, alcohol beverage control will question us if they see us allowing you with this ID, I told him do I look like under 21, Im 30, you can see that, he laughed and said yes yes but I cant let you in, I showed him the picture of USA VISA, he goes like, anyone can make that in ADOBE lol, I then asked him if I can bring photocopy of my passport and he said no I want to see your passport physically to see the holograms, I told him if thats the case my countries ID has all the holograms, it has an electronic chip on it and its in English, tells you my date of birth clearly, he just said I need to see your passport, are you kidding me, I mean do u actually believe I will walk around in a club and city with my passport and then bring my passport so I can enter a club, is your mind working, are all other places in the city closed or what, this is funny, i am never ever gona go to this place again .... there are a million other places i can go, places where i am not even asked for an ID and are much better than this place, its nothing, its a like hyped TGI Fridays lol, few screens and thats it, with a bar and food, like whats so amazing about it, PLEASE I STRICTLY ADVISE DONOT CARRY YOUR PASSPORT LIKE THAT TO SUCH PLACES, ITS AN HONEST ADVICE YOU CAN EASILY LOOSE IT, DONOT CARRY YOUR PASSPORT ALONG UNLESS YOU ARE GOING FOR AN OFFICIAL COMPULSORY EVENT OR BUILDING, I went to Fairfax district court, they didnt even ask for my passport and a liquor bar wants to see my passport, just to confirm Im 21+ i was not expecting this, plus i have been to many bars, clubs and hookah bars, never ever has this happened, i strictly advise not to go to this place, they are rude arrogant and all they shall do is spoil your mood, as you can expect anything from them, they asked 7 people to leave as one of them wasnt wearing correct shoes lol :)... they all left, g somewhere else, there are many places where you can relax and are not pushed out. THESE LOSERS DONT KNOW THAT IF WE DONT PAY THEY WILL DIE TO STARVATION :) RESTUARANTS, CLUBS and BARS, THEY ARE THERE CAUSE WE GO THERE, IF WE DONT GO THERE, THEY WILL SHUT DOWN :) PLUS, I REMEMBER EVERYONES FACE WHO SPOKE TO ME THERE, WORLD IS A SMALL PLACE :) WE SHALL MEET AND TRUST ME WHERE I WORK, WHEN YOU END UP THERE, EVEN IF YOU WANA LEAVE YOU WONT BE ABLE TO :) FUNNY BUT TRUE and I TRULY AGGREE WITH THE RACIST THING, THE 7 PEOPLE I MENTIONED WHO WERE ASKED TO LEAVE WERE ALSO AFRICAN AMERICANS, SO NOT ALL OF US CAN BE WRONG RIGHT, I AM WITNESS TO AN INCIDENT MYSELF, YES THE SAME ASIAN LOSER WAS AT THE DOOR, A DOG AT THE DOOR MIGHT BE A BETTER OPTION, I WONDER WHY THEY FORGET THEY ARE JUST THE WATCH DOGS OF THE BAR, ALL THEY NEED IS A BONE, WHEN THEY GET IT, THEY SHUT UP!

I was looking to update my review of A Town and was shocked when I realized I hadnt reviewed it yet. Holy cow. This place is one of my favorites in all of DC! Ive been for every possible occasion and been impressed every time. Brunch: To die for. I say without exaggeration, they have the best brunch buffet Ive ever been to, and I love me some brunch. Theres something for everyone- sushi, breakfast pizza, breakfast classics, lunch items, omelette bar, stroganoff, jambalaya, fresh cut ham, taco bar, and a mini dessert bar complete with chocolate strawberries and marshmallows. ALL for $20. Are you kidding? Thats insane. I ate way more than $20 worth! Also the "bottomless" equivalent is great. You get a full sized bottle of champagne for $10 or a double sized bottle for $20. Everything was delicious and on point and I never want to brunch anywhere else. And despite the crowd, the service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. Happy Hour/Dinner: Go on Wednesdays to get bang for your buck. Half priced wine bottles and appetizers- you can get hammered and have a full delicious dinner for $20 or less per person. The food itself is fantastic (would highly recommend the bbq chicken flat bread), and they have deep fried oreos. I repeat, DEEP FRIED OREOS. If that doesnt win you over youre a soulless person who doesnt understand joy. Our server was great that night as well and made the experience even better. Late night: Im sad that everyone has discovered A Town because it gets crazy crowded now. Its an upscale sports bar and probably one of the nicer bars in Arlington. The music is good, the drinks are good, and the people are fun. It can get a little crowded and loungey, but if youre not in the mood for a dive bar A Town is perfect!

I give this place a zero star rating, went here for Sunday brunch for my wifes B-Day celebration. This place is the perfect example of how a certain race (black people) are racially profiled and stereotyped by certain establishments such as A-TOWN. I was wearing a black polo shirt nice fitting jeans that were not baggy and a nice pair of casual shoes and i got in. Now my friend came about two hours later with his wife he was wearing a black polo shirt a pair of nice fitting jeans and a pair of casual shoes. He was denied by this power tripping Asian bouncer slash head of security wanna be tough guy, he told my friend that he didnt fit the dress code but he dressed exactly like me top to bottom. Oh I forgot to mention I have a bald head and glasses, my friend on the other hand has dreadlocks I guess that is the part of the dress code that my friend didnt pass. So after that happened we decided to leave the establishment but while waiting outside for our other friends that were paying their bill that same super security guard allowed one guy with bright red Jordans come in and right after that guy he allowed a guy come in with a solid white t-shirt and he whispered to the guy hoping we wouldnt hear him "WE USUALLY DONT LET WHITE T-SHIRTS IN BUT YOUR A REGULAR" I called him out on it and all he did was laugh like I got the power you dont so get lost type of attitude and of course the two people he let in were young white males. So if you looking to get racially profiled disrespected and stereotyped A-TOWN is the place to go. NEVER EVER WILL ME AND MY FRIENDS STEP ANOTHER FOOT IN THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN.
