Yesterday my fiance and I were looking for a nice place, not loud and not full of riffraff like the other downtown Wyandotte places and wandered into Smokeys. It was fantastic! Perfect place for a decent, not over-pretentious dinner and drinks, or like us, a place to have a couple beers, play a little Photo Hunt, and be able to hear ourselves talk! The Fried Mushrooms were the best Ive ever had! They were huge button mushrooms, not too greasy and and full of scalding oil... I would go back just for the mushrooms! Chicken tender dinner was very good as well, the fries, eh... but the reuben was made with grilled corned beef which added a dimension. We will definitely be back! The service was good- yes, the staff is a little young on the restaurant side, but the more mature bar side we sat on was friendly and very attentive. And they have fishbowl drinks! One fishbowl lasted my fiance the whole 2.5 hours we hung out there.

I used to be a weekly visitor at Smokies until my most recent visit. I ordered the chicken alfredo that Joe mentioned in his review below. I couldnt have said it better myself. The dish was completely tastless. There was absolutely no flavor. I informed the waitress that I was not happy and explained the issue. She came back to my table a few moments later, visibly uncomfortable, and says that her manager told her that since there is nothing technically "wrong" with the dish I would still be billed for it. Mind you I only took a couple bites before sending it back with the waitress. Of course, I did not accept this response and it was eventually removed from my bill. But what a terrible way to treat your customers! I along with the rest of my family have never been told such a thing and were simply appalled that this is how customer service issues are being handled. Havent been back since.

Okay service from the waitress. She was overwhelmed with a larger group and my girlfriend and I were left unattended with no refills and waited over an hour for our main entree. I ordered a steak with mashed potatoes and an hour after we ordered I was told that they ran out of potatoes, what restaurant runs out of potatoes? Upon receiving my steak it was over cooked and not how I ordered it and told the waitress who then sent over the owner. He came over to the table and was arguing with me that the steak was cooked right but it tasted like a piece of rubber all he did was take it off the bill. He was just plan rude. Never going their again.

I ordered the chicken alfredo and it was clearly boiled chicken with no seasoning and no flavor surrounded by wheat multigrain Aldi brand pasta and way too little amount of alfredo sauce that only the Lord knows where it came from. Tasted like a smoky turd. Then to top things off I had to wait forever for my drinks to be refilled so I could wash it down and get the flavor out of my mouth for the first time ever being here I believe it will be my last maybe I will see if they make good breakfast one day it is hard to mess up pancakes. Im not sure if the cook called in sick today and had the Busboys cover for him or not

Im a type of person that rarely likes to eat at the same place more than once, but I keep going back to here because its such a great dining experience. The white bean chicken chilli is amazing, as well as everything else Ive ordered is here never disappoints. I really enjoy the turkey Ruben though. Great service, friendly servers & management, never a long wait, and sometimes they have an old style accordionist playing. One of the few places in downriver I fully support and tell my friends about.

For starters worst service I have ever experienced waited on water waited on a beer bartender was busy with a to go order drinks arrive place order then wait and wait at least 15 minutes goes bye and our waitress says the kitchen says all out of Prime Rib REALLY THAT LONG TO KNOW sorry for the wait would like anything else Answer NO WE WILL JUST LEAVE WAS EXCITED TO TRY NOW WORD OF ADVICE DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND SMOKIES SHAME ON YOU FOR BEING IN WYANDOTTE

Was so disappointed with the experience. Waitress was very slow. Waited 15 minutes for her to take our order. The worse part was the prime rib. I ordered it rare and it came almost well done. There wasnt any pink in it at all. Used to eat here a lot but its been about 6 months since my last visit. After this experience Its going to be a lot longer. Luckily there are a lot of good places to eat in Wyandotte. This just isnt one of them.

We wanted it to be great, but it just wasnt! Food was mediocre (prime rib was room temperature at best. I sent it back and it came out slightly warmer than room termperature. Parts of the "fish trio" were fresh, and parts were frozen fish, which wasnt very tasty nor did it reflect in the price of the entree ) the service was okay. Maybe well try again, but it isnt likely.

I felt like I belonged right where I was, the place felt Big,but it was cozy and unpretentious. I hate being rushed be- Cause another paying customer is waiting for the table,Smokies,at least in my humble opinion,is a place where we can get great food and be treated with a wonderful server who is very good at making the dining experience Special.

Had a very pleasant romantic dinner with Wifey. The food was better than I expected. Great selection of beer too. The staff was wonderful. One of the few places where I feel the price is justified by superior food quality. On a re-visit - the PIzza is awesome as well. I am looking forward to them opening on Grosse Ile. We will definitely be regulars.

Walked in and had to wait to be seated. There was 5 tables open and still bad to wait. We ordered there perch sandwich and fries (special.) The perch didnt even taste like fish. At $10.50 for a special I would of rather of ate a McDonalds fish sandwich. It would of tasted better. The waitress never even asked if we needed a refill

Kind of tucked away in the other end of town from all the other restaurants and doesnt get much publicity so I expected mediocre, but pleasantly surprised with delicious food, friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere and the best part of all that is the menu is low priced! Going back tonite -- Yum!

This is one of my FAVORITE places to take friends and family out. Smokies Restaurant has something for everyone. I would recommend the Tortellini Louis, It is flavor packed, filling, and if you cant finish the dish, it tastes even better the next day.

This place was amazing. Our waitress took tremendous care with us. Great customer service and the food was excellent. Its so good that my wife and I have been here 3 days in a row. Truly an awesome place to dine.
