We have been very satisfied with their Indian food and not satisfied with their customer service. Its in the neighborhood (quality-wise) of Bombay House, although I still think Bombay House wins. We have been there 5 times (we got one Groupon and really liked it; then we bought 4 more the next time we saw the Groupon). However, they seem to resent the people with Groupons. Once we ordered and they gave us a hard time saying we had to order two entrees to use the Groupon (even though the group on said nothing of the kind anywhere in the fine print). Ultimately they wanted us to order well over the $20 that the Groupon was worth. I agree that their customer service is a major disappointment; our first time dining in nobody waited on us after we got our food. Then we waited in a line for nearly 10 minutes to pay our check since they had no one dedicated to manning the register. Subsequently, weve ordered out. They will not be getting tips from these Groupon purchasers--I dont care what Groupon says about its customers and their tipping reputation. Also, why dont they have prices listed on their online menu? We like their veggie coconut korma. The mango korma was too sweet; not enough spices. Their naan is okay. Rice is excellent. We also get their veggie tikka masala and its pretty good. Mango ice cream is very good but way too expensive ($4 for 4 oz). Rice pudding dish (I cant remember what its called) is decent--not great. Mango lassie is very good. The paneer (homemade cheese) tikka masala is pretty good as well. I was afraid to eat their homemade cheese but its essentially tasteless and adds some texture and protein to the tikka masala.

I heard that India Palace had great food, but unfortunately I did not get to try it nor will I ever be back. My boyfriend and I went for dinner on Friday night, ordered our food and placed a drink order with our server who asked to see my boyfriends ID. About 5 minutes later a different employee came up requesting to see his ID again, he happily pulled it out as the woman stared him up and down and then walked away with his ID. She came back, handed him his ID and left. A minute later 2 other employees came up asking to see his ID. He again handed over the ID and showed two credit cards that reflect the exact same name. The employee inspected the state issued ID and credit cards letter for letter and then had the nerve to ask my boyfriend, "Do you have another ID?" Our server came back and made up some excuse that the alcohol had been locked up and he would have to wait 5 minutes for someone to come in and unlock it. Really? On a Friday night your alcohol is locked up and you do not have someone there to open it? Im not buying it. Not once did any of the associates apologize for being completely inconsiderate and harassing him. He happily complied each time he was asked to show his ID. I could maybe understand if my boyfriend just turned 21, or if his picture looked nothing like him. It does however and he was born in 1987, so there should have been no question. I was thrilled to walk out and take our business elsewhere. I would not recommend coming here as the management clearly has no respect for paying customers and is not apologetic in the slightest.

I visited last week for lunch and had the buffet. The staff was very nice and smiled as we came and went. I felt like they did their best to serve us and the place is very clean. I love curry and will try any restaurant that opens in Utah. I found it very odd however that this is essentially in the same strip as another Indian place. I have ate at the other restaurant many times and it is one of my favorite places in this part of town. The food, I had their Chicken Tika Masala to start off with and it was excellent. The rice was also very good but a little (I am being picky) overcooked. It was nothing to complain about and it is a buffet but worth mentioning. The Korma curry was disappointing and didnt have a sweet coconut flavor. It might have been a bad batch because the vegetarian version was tasty. The guys I was with mixed the currys to sweeten up the meat version. The naan bread was a little stale and crunchy in the thin parts. I personally like a very soft naan bread. They do however have a deep fried naan that both the guys I was with really liked (I didnt try them). Overall I would return because their dining area is quieter and larger than their competition a few doors up. If you like curry this will be a good choice.

Ive eaten here several times. The food is good but not amazing. We decided to eat here tonight because it was late and there was a groupon available. When you buy a groupon from your phone, the "fine print" can be elusive. Apparently the groupon I purchased didnt qualify due to number of required patrons. Rather than accept my apology and explanation the man at the desk would rather have me walk away and discard the food. It was the worst customer service ever and I will not be returning. I went and ate at Saffron Valley instead. It is located in the same strip mall. Ive also refunded the groupon. The whole experience was a lose-lose because he wouldnt work with me at all. You really need to work on those customer service skills. Not everyone is trying to rip you off. I ordered plenty of food and was going to tip you adequately. Bad form....

The food is good, the people are nice. Just one thing Im not a fan of is the level of spicy-ness of the food, we got one that is mild which was perfect and another one which was the butter chicken in medium spicy and it is a little over powering. You can hardly taste the flavor of the food because it was too hot for a medium. Weve been to other Indian restaurants and we would always get our food in medium and its not too hot as this one. I like the chicken curry (mild) and I have to special mention how extremely good like really good their RICE. Its the best thus far. Will I come back? Definitely! I specially like places that returns the favor when you mention or post review or check in social media. This place gives free drinks if you checkin Yelp or Facebook, its nothing big but hey at least they acknowledge your effort.

Poor Quality, Poor Hygiene, Overpriced. The toilet was dirty, which is a huge red flag. Our server was frequently wiping his hand on his shirt and on the back of his pants. Some items on the menu are tasty. But tasty does not equate with high quality. It was too oily. And we suspect they are adding poor quality spices/additives as our stomachs did not respond well. Weve been eating south Asian/Indian food for many years, and we cannot recommend this place. Very disappointing. The desserts are overpriced, and do not stand up to the competition in deliciousness or authenticity.

India Palace is an awesome restaurant! I went on a Thursday afternoon for lunch with 12 co-workers. We all did the buffet. The food was authentic, exceptionally good, and there was plenty for everyone. The service was exceptionally great too. They kept coming out with multiple types of naan, were super courteous, refilled our drinks quickly, promptly took away plates as we used them, etc. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and perfect for me. So, this is a great indian food restaurant - definitely my new favorite in town. I highly recommend it. I will most certainly be going back!
