My family and I came for the grand opening....disappointed. Servers were slow and the food areas were terribly messy and the food was bland. We decided to give it a second chance since it WAS their first night...Our second visit was even worse. The floor was covered in food and the table was dirty. We should have left then...Server was friendly but never offered us rice. We ordered the soup to go with our meal and pot stickers for an appetizer. We proceeded to get our "bowls" ready but the food took forever to cook as the grill was not hot enough. How do I know? The grill should sizzle when you put the food on it but didnt...and the veggies were still raw. The soup and appetizer were on the table when we returned and were cold...although it wouldnt have made it more appealing it had been served hot. Overall, its the managements responsibility to be aware of the cleanliness and overall food preparation which seems to be sadly neglected. Hence, we do NOT recommend this place to anyone at this time. I had to give it one star since it wouldnt allow me to post without this rating but overall I would give it a zero.

We eat here pretty frequently, and dont usually have a problem with anything but after today Im not sure well be returning to eat here again... we got here waited a while to be seated (we were the only ones waiting) because there was no one at the front, when finally a lady came and seated us, we told her my fiancé has a seafood allergy she brought out the pink bowls they have for those with allergies and they were dirty with food stuck to them so we asked for some different bowls which they were happy to give us clean ones. Then the waitress spilled soda on my phone at this point Im a little annoyed but we usually dont have any problems and accidents happen so my fiancé tells her its ok he goes and gets his food he says he has an allergy to just make sure even tho he has the "allergy bowl" they didnt clean the grill, told my fiancé they had already cleaned it and now hes having an allergic reaction so all in all Im pretty upset with how are service was today and hopefully management fixes the problem...

Mongolian grill-style restaurants are a great way to get your protein and vegetable portions for the day, and HuHot Mongolian Grill is no exception. The stir fry noodle, meat, and vegetable options are always kept fresh, plentiful, and varied, from beef, pork, chicken, tofu, and sausage, to traditional noodles, rice noodles, and yakisoba, to corn, bell peppers, broccoli, edamame, onions, bamboo, spinach, peas, even cilantro and fresh jalapenos for a more Mexican flair. The sauce options are what really make HuHots stir fry stand out! Choose from all sorts of ethnic flavors and spicy heat levels to customize your stir fry, so many options in fact that its almost a little overwhelming trying to come up with a combination! Thankfully, you can skip the anxiety and follow one of HuHots prescribed sauce recipes found above the sauce island. Be prepared for a lunch line around the grill; this place can get pretty busy between noon and 1pm.

I dont understand the high ratings for this place. Ive had good Mongolian barbecue, and this is not even mediocre. To start with, the place isnt very clean. The area around the cooking station looks pretty dirty and the food stations arent kept up. There was food all over the floor. The food quality itself is poor. The cilantro looked like it should have been thrown out a week before it was being served. Lots of black slimy leaves mixed in. I love cilantro but couldnt bring myself to take any of it. Other vegetables seemed tired as well, but at least they werent spoiled like the cilantro. The meats tasted more like cardboard than meat. The sauces had very little flavor. The hotter ones had heat, but thats about all. $14 for dinner is way too high for what is being served. Even if it was good quality it should only be maybe $10-11. The service was the only redeeming thing. Servers were helpful and friendly.

Didnt seem like the chefs were very concerned with hygiene or cleanliness. The area around the grill is understandably messy, but when the cook is wiping a spill off the floor, and then goes back to the spatulas without washing, also the grill scraper was dropped on the floor, and then used on the grill. If I saw these things while only taking a couple trips through the line, I dont really want to know what else happens... Ive been to the Logan HuHot several times, where they are much cleaner and more professional-feeling, and I would definitely rate that location five stars, but this Sandy location needs some work. (also some nasty stuff in the bathroom. I understand this isnt necessarily the managements fault, stuff happens. also they were out of jalapeno peppers, which is a favorite part of any of my HuHot meals) All in all, maybe just a bad combination of luck, but this location did not impress me.

The ingredients are about standard Mongolian barbecue quality, and they have gotten creative with sauces. This was my first time trying "Burn Your Village Down Barbecue" sauce, for example. (I was underwhelmed) Unfortunately, the non-standard sauces sugar content makes them too sticky for the Mongolian grill, so the ingredients cant flow well to get evenly saturated and cooked. This was my first time experiencing this genre where the food stays stationary on the grill, save for the all-too-rare spatula play, rather than being pushed around it by one person. Im sure this allows them to accommodate more customers but it served to further the lack of sauce saturation and even cooking. I think if you havent had Mongolian before, the food will be novel, at the very least, and the service is pretty good. But if you have become accustomed to the more traditional methods as I have, you will not find them here.

The staff was friendly enough. The food was a HUGE disappointment. We went at 8 pm on Friday night and there was no meat even though the place was busy and still open for two more hours. When I asked for some beef the gal said that they have stopped taking requests. I explained that Im pregnant and this is the only thing I could stomach, she then put SOME beef out. NOT worth $30, I wish we would have gone to Chinese gourmet, which is much closer to us, so another $10 wasted in fuel. Also the meat tasted incredibly gamey and the sauces were not what I was hoping for, even just the soy and garlic. I was expecting an "expert grill warrior" to cook my food, but instead a couple 16 year olds, what do they know about cooking authentic mongolian bbq? Every con previously written is still true. I will never return, and Im not even sorry to say so. Wish we could have gotten a refund :(

My wife and I love this place. We have gone here a number of times and we have had great experiences each time. So how this place works is its a buffet. You grab your plate and load it up with your meats (pork, beef, or chicken) or some seafood like crab. Then add your choice of veggies and finally the most important part is the sauces. They have so many options that the first time there I was like a deer in headlights. No idea which combination I should do. Likely they do have a cheat sheet to help guide your choice. Dont be afraid to be adventurous and try whatever combo you want. Word of advice is to be courteous to everyone else and only make one plate at a time because when you get to the grill if you have multiple plates on the grill it slows up the line. Its a great place. I recommend it to everybody!
