DO NOT GO HERE! Came here a total of two times, first time we sat at the hibachi table and chef was nice but immediately after the food was done they started deep cleaning the table literally spraying bleach cleaner right next to our food. All I could taste was bleach. I decided to give this place another chance even though the food was not 25$ a plate quality 10$ at most. this is where the nightmare started. We walk in 10:15pm on a Friday night ( They close at 11:00 ) there was no host to greet us I had to walk around the corner where the staff was eating and asked if we could eat. A young server came and sat us and got us our drinks and we were looking through the drink selection and my girl friend ordered a beer while i was still deciding. I tried her beer to see if i liked it and the server came over and said exactly "I need to see your ID" She looked at my ID and walked away, instead of hey would you like your own and may I see your ID. She took our order and I got my steak medium well and she did not speak English very well and she kept saying "rare?" no well done "rare" no WELL DONE "ok rare" it was 10:20 by that time and i was already frustrated by the disrespect they gave me and by the appetizers which was luke warm soup and a salad consisting of 2 small pieces of lettuce. we had been waiting 10 mins with my water empty and my girl friends water and beer empty with no service. the whole staff was at the tables next to us not working on our food or refilling our drinks or providing any service. I finally saw the waitress bring food out 25 mins later only for it to be hers and to sit down with her co workers and begin to eat right in front of me... literally looking at us with drinks empty and waiting. my girl friend began to raise her hand and say excuse me asking for assistance and no one came. around 10:50 I was fuming and threw down 10$ for the one beer and walked out. This is where it gets good!! No service all night and 3 members of the staff ran out to my car and demanded I come in and pay for something I did not get right in front of my passenger door still chewing her food she was just eating in front of me. yelling at my girl friend who has years of quality restaurant service experience on how what they were doing was right and we were wrong. The manager came out and rather than asking if there is anything he can do for us he literally had to pull the waitress away from my car in a bear hug, almost like breaking up a fight and brought her inside just glaring at me as all 3 of them walked inside.

The worst service I have received in Utah since I moved here in 2009. Service was below average to mediocre from the start. I ordered seared tuna tataki and it was brought out as ahi sashimi (no sear). I asked why it wasnt seared. She said it is tataki. I said its supposed to be seared. She said maybe other restaurants do tataki that way. My wife says the picture is seared. She said its just the picture. I said, the menu also says, "seared ahi tataki". She comes back and confirms the chef forgot to sear it and they can make it again. I said that it is okay and just ate it as is. I ordered three dinners for three people, two of which were the most expensive dinners on their menu. Ordered 3 sushi appetizers, sodas and sake. We had just finished eating. Waitress didnt ask us about dessert and brought our checks. We then received the checks back with our credit cards and signed our checks. We were still just talking since it had been not even 5 minutes since we finished eating. She came up and asked for the bills. That is odd because most places wait until you leave to pick it up. As soon as she gets them, she says, "Im sorry we are closed". So all 6 of us got up to walk out. I looked at my phone. It was 958 pm. I assumed they closed at 930 and walked out. Said good byes to my friends and then looked at hours on door. They close at 10pm. Walked back into restaurant at 10:03 pm to complain to manager. There is still a table just beginning to get their salads. I spoke to manager. She kept giving excuses. I spent $175 on 3 people on a Monday night in Sandy, Utah. Thats a lot for Utah and I get pushed out right after paying the check BEFORE the actual closing time! Every restaurant I have ever been to will take customers to a certain point knowing they will go past closing time. There were still tables eating. Completely ludicrous to argue with me on what seared means and then to argue with me on why the waitress said what she said. As Im talking to the manager, the waitress is 4 feet from me laughing. I will never go back here again.

The restaurant smells very fishy upon entering; we considered leaving, but thought wed give it a try...that was a poor decision. The restaurant was lined with snapshots of people eating, super classy, and had little chopstick sets all over the wall that had a little fish inbetween each set. It was nauseating. The service was terrible. The waitress (didn’t catch her name, she didnt introduce herself or wear a name badge, but she was a thin, younger woman with a Japanese accent) was extremely short and rude. The other customers and us were nearly laughing back and forth to each other because she was so shockingly rude to everyone there. She would never smile back, wouldnt even nod or say "sure" no matter how many times we thanked her. She would set things on the edge of the table and stomp away immediately without a word. Maybe she was just having a bad day, but, wow, she was cold! She never offered to refills drinks once or asked how the food was when we didnt eat it because it was awful. The fried rice was ok, other than that the eggs were so overcooked that they smelled like wet dog. The cucumber salad was soggy and half of it was fishy imitation crab...???? (Weve had the cucumber salad at many Japanese restaurants and none came with imitation crab). The California rolls dont have your typical fresh REAL crab salad, theyre just a chunk of whatever type of "crab" that was stuck inside a sloppy roll. The noodles were ok in flavor, but were so overcooked and soggy. The onion soup was good and so was the tempura shrimp, but we seemed to have lost our appetite and couldnt eat much of anything because the waitress was literally drinking and eating food with her hands on the sushi line next to the sushi chefs and then serving us without washing her hands; Im not a health inspector, but Im pretty sure thats not allowed. At the very least, it made me concerned about their food handling practices. At any rate, we will definitely not be recommending this restaurant, nor returning. Good luck!

My family and I went there on a Saturday night, expecting it to be busy, which it was, and that was fine. We chose to sit in the dining area because all of the open grills were occupied by what looked like high school prom kids, that night was very busy. We placed our order for 3 appetizers, 2 entrees, and 4 sushi rolls and waited. .....and waited. ......and waited even more. After about 45 minutes one of the appetizers came out. After another 20 minutes the 2nd appetizer came out, along with one of the entrees, which was weird, but whatever. After another 15 minutes the 3rd appetizer came out with the 2nd entree, but no sushi rolls still. Getting slightly frustrated at this point, but hey, I get that they were busy. Another 15 minutes and here come 2 sushi rolls out of the 4 that we ordered. By that time, our kids had finished their entrees. But get this. ..I noticed that tables that came in and sat down easily 20-30 minutes after us were getting their rolls before us, and some had actually finished and left. All in all we were there for over 2 and a half hours, and we each ate by ourselves because of the timing of when the food was brought out. There are dozens of other places that can handle large crowds and still get food out in a timely and organized manner, let alone have better quality rolls too. I definitely will look for another option when spending a good amount of money to go to dinner.
