Today I met my mom for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Italian village! We have been coming here for years, and its one of our favorite places. We had a great meal, and asked for to go boxes. After we boxed up our stuff the server asked if she had cleared off the silver dish the pizza was brought out on. We told her yes we thought she had already cleared it with our other dishes. After the server walked away my mom moved her box, and said it was heavy. When she opened it up she realized the pan was in her box. She had boxed it up without even thinking. We took out the pan and set it on the table. We then gather our things to walk up front to pay. When we went up front I took my daughter into the restroom. We set our things on the bench up front while my mom paid the check, and I was in the restroom. My mom could not find her keys, so she walked away from our things to check the table. While we were both away from our to go boxes, our server apparently decided it was her place to walk over, and open up my moms pizza box to check to see if we had stole the silver plate. Luckily for me when I walked out of the restroom I saw her quickly walk away from our things, and my moms pizza box was half way open. I walked back over to the server and ask her if she opened my moms pizza box. She looked right at me and said "no" I said "really thats weird because I saw you walk away from our things and her pizza box is slightly opened". My mom had walked back over at this point, and asked her again if she seriously looked through her things. The server finally admitted she just checked because she didnt see the pizza pan on the table. Well this was the most ridiculous and infuriating experience I have ever had at a restaurant. I believe this was completely out of line and so ridiculous! I wish I could say I would never go back but I love this place so I will say she will never be my server again!

My husbands family has been eating at the italian village for over 25 years. We LOVE Their pizza benders. My father inlaw usually will get the pizza benders to go and last night I learned why. We have been raving about the food at the italian village to our friends. They agreed to come with us last night to get some pizza benders. I called ahead to check the wait time I was told 40-45 minutes. Which was fine. When we arrived we were told the same time. After 50 minutes came and went I checked again nicely just asking when they thought we would be seated. I was told 10 to 15 minutes. After another 20 minutes We still hadnt been seated. I understand that the resturant is very popular and busy but no one came to update us and when I checked again I was told they didnt know when we would be seated we had to wait till other tables opened up. I could see on the roster that 5 or more names had been seated after ours. our party consisted of 4 adults, a child and 2 babies. Partys of 5 who had not been there nearly as long as us were being seated. I am sure we could have taken a table that would seat 5 since the babies can fit about anywhere. after 10 more minutes a party of 10 who had only been there for 20 minutes asked us how long we had been waiting. My husband told them 1 hour and 20 minutes. The hostes was getting ready to seat them when a lady from the group told them to give us their table. the hostes took us to the table not saying a word she ran and grabbed silver ware and threw it on the table giving my husband a dirty look. Luckily the server was very sweet. And took our orders quickly and got our food out to us right away. I was so embarassed taking my friends out to a place like that and being treated poorly. I will order the benders to go but I will never eat at the restraunt again.

I started my first real job working hear clear back in 1968 for four years. The draft caught up with me early and as life passed by for the next 36 years of traveling around the world, I finally retired in Roy with my wife from Japan. She had always heard me talk about Italian Village Restaurant, so a couple weeks ago we went there and the memories just kept coming of all the hard work and good times I had with Dusty and the gang. Dusty was the best boss, manager, and not then full owner; but also a real honest person to all of his workers and customers. Well, tasting the food again was like walking back in time. Nothing had really changed! The quality in all the food, the waitress always friendly, and the prices still well below the standard. Take it from me (I was the skinny guy with glasses and braces back then). The food is still excellent after over 40 years in business, you still can catch a show of spinning the pizza dough in the air (Ah yes, to be covered totally with flour at the end of the shift, those were the days) and youll get more than your monies worth...Its Good to be Home!

If I had to describe Italian Village in one word, it would be this: canned. The food here is not fresh. Its gross. I ordered a special where I got a small pizza and a side of fettuccine alfredo. One of the pizza toppings they have is shrimp, and I assumed they were going to be regular shrimp. When my pizza came out, I was saddened to discover that "shrimp" to them meant those nasty salad shrimp that come out of a can. I couldnt finish it--salad shrimp are way too gross. On top of that, the crust and the sauce of the pizza werent that flavorful. When I tasted the fettuccine, hoping that it would be better, I was disappointed again. The sauce tasted EXACTLY like the sauce that comes out of one of those jars of alfredo that you buy at the grocery store. Not fresh. Not homemade. The prices here are cheap, but its still a rip off considering that everything is processed and comes out of a can. Youd be better off buying your own jar of Ragu alfredo and whipping it up at home, if thats what you like. Dont go here.

This iconic Murray restaurant has become known for their "Pizza Bender," like a calzone but with a soft crust. Order one with the default ingredients (pepperoni, sausage, and ham) or select your own favorite pizza toppings (my daughter likes ham, pepperoni, and black olive). Ordered with sauce for dipping, it makes a great meal on its own, or combine with any other entree for a "meal and bender" combo. We like the chicken parmesan. The other specialty here is a hand tossed salad, which is also very good, and their signature garlic bread. Eat in for an old fashioned experience, or get it to go and eat in the comfort of your own home. Open late every day, this restaurant is great when you want something other than a burger after ten PM.
