When Jeff the owner found out I was sick & couldnt celebrate my b-day due to my medical bills he & his staff did something amazing...he calle d and had us come in & not just treat us to an amazing dinner...he gave my bf a gift cert to come back for take out so we could enjoy it later when I was gonna be on the hospital! The generous gift meant even more due to the economy & esp the little restaurants who are feeling the pinch most...He didnt know us but he opened his heart to us anyway! We were so humbled by him & his staff....The reason I say all this is to show the kind of person that runs this joint! It trickles down to everything Esp the food! Their Tour of Italy is a mountain of yumminess! It can easily feed 2 or 3 people! Or lunches for 2 days! Usually when the portions are huge its to hide the lack of quality...Not here ..Jeffs flavors are perfectly blended so u get to taste each and one doesnt over power the other. And dont get me started on their bread! Its crispy and chewy outside & soft & fluffy on the inside. Itll make u want to crawl into it and take a nap! Support our local restaurants guys! Especially when they are this good& deserve it!

I visited La Ferrovia with my wife just 20 mins before close which I know is usually a mistake, however we were not mistaken. The food and the service was amazing. This is a smaller family owned and operated restaurant and its evident. Theres an authentic and friendly atmosphere as soon as you walk in. My wife and I shared the "Tour dé Italy", it was very reasonably priced about $20 for two people. The menu item we chose was dinner for two. It came with their signature Chicken Parmesan, pasta side, and half a calzone for each of us. Everything was delicious, everything was fresh, we loved our experience. I highly recommend this restaurant. I WAS NOT OFFERED OR PROMISED ANYTHING FOR THIS REVIEW. This is my genuine experience.

Went there for the first time today and it was TERRIBLE! The pasta and sauce are definitely not homemade. The food is pretty much boiled pasta and mixed with a sauce from the dollar store. The calzone looked like a giant bloody mess. The crust was hard and probably previously frozen and cooked in the microwave when it was ordered. The prices are way to high for a meal that cost 33 cents to make. The server was extremely rude and didnt have any manners. He would reach across your face to grab a glass or bus the table. A couple of times I had his armpit right in front of my face! Go to olive garden or have a box of kraft Mac n cheese or even ramen! This place is HORRID!

After hearing such good things about this place me, my cousin, and brother, decided to go and have lunch. Let me just say this Horrible. I had the Lasagna which came out smothered in red marinara sauce, hardly any cheese and beef that tasted like it had been freezer burnered. My Cousins and brother had the calzones. They were bad as well. First off they smother them with marinara sauce and then they are doughy and the inside tastes like they got it out of a can. All and all i could have gone to olive garden and had a 100 times better experience. I am a huge supporter of local foods, but not this place. La sucky.........

A good Italian restaurant. I particularly loved the mural decorations, checkered tableclothes, and classic music that made the entire place feel stereotypically Italian and a little bit classy. Staff was quick to help us, a little too quick when we were trying to read the menu (we had to ask for more time twice). I had the Tortellini alla Panna (tortellini with beef and cheese in alfredo sauce). It was good, although nothing particularly special. There was a lot of sauce. Overall, a great place if youre looking for good italian-american food.

The food here is delicious. Top-notch Italian cuisine. The only people Ive ever heard say they dont like this place are the people that say Olive Garden is better. And we all know Olive Garden is microwaved garbage. The only reason I give this place a four stars instead of five is because of their plastic cups. For as delicious as the food is they should have glasses to make it seem as nice of a place as it is. Also you have to ask for refills which is annoying. But if you want delicious food go here!

My son and I just enjoyed the annual model train show and walked down 25th street looking for some thing local. We walked the two or three blocks to look for a eating establishment for a nine year old; the old fashion way. My son picked this place because of the pizza. Bathrooms are nicely clean. Very quite but clean over all. I had a side salad before my pizza it was delicious. We both ordered the one inch three topping pizza. It was hot and delicious. Service was great. Thank you

We ate there with a group of 10 for lunch, we were greeted by a friendly waiter and escorted to our table they had ready for us. They have a good selection on the menu, with a wine and beer menu that our waiter was very knowledgeable in helping us to order. The food was served hot and to all of us at one time, everyone enjoyed their meal. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice and quiet so we could visit. Well go back for sure!

I just want to say that I am not a huge fan of Alfredo sauce, however; I had lunch today here and the side dish was a small serving of Penne with Alfredo sauce....OMG! Im not a smoker and I needed a cigarette afterwards! I wanted to pick up the plate and lick it clean! THE BEST ALFREDO SAUCE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY 52 YEAR LIFE!!! It stole my heart. Good job La Ferovia!

The alfredo sauce was amazing. The calzone was delicious. The homemade bread was so so good. Our server was prompt and did great. Its about 10-15 dollars a plate (not including appetizers). The food really was excellent. Get the Tour of Italy if its just two of you. Would recommend to friends. Quality, authentic food at a reasonable price.

The best Italian restaurant in Utah. Me and my wife go there when ever we can. Chicken Parmesan is the best thing there. My wife likes the Calzone and says its the best. I would have gave 5 stars if it wasnt for the bad service. Once they take care of that this place would be perfect

I go to La Ferrovia enough we know everyone by name. We love the mosta chole (sp) and they have a secret bottle of Marsalla wine in the back for marsalla chicken that should be on the menu. Josephine will be mad at me for telling you that. But its good enough to brag about.

Worth the wait! We had a mushroom, tomato and sausage pizza and it was fantastic. Best pizza I have had in Utah! The crust is thick but crispy. The sausage is so good! I am very picky about sausage and this met my high expectations. We will come again when we are in town.
