"Life is to short to eat cheap pizza!" This is a sign found in the Ogden location, not sure if it is in the others, and it is so true. The Pie has been family owned and operated by the Palmer family since the 1980s. This pizza is made fresh to order and is SO very good. We have been visiting The Pie since high school, though back then the only location was the underground found within walking distance of the U of U (location still open). If you are in a hurry, The Pie is not for you, even for take out. Tonight the wait was super long, but the cashier let us know in advance as one of their ovens was acting up. No biggie, and not in any kind off a hurry we were fine with that. We ordered 4 slices of the cheesy garlic bread along with a 14" pepperoni pizza. We love the cheesy garlic bread, tonight not much different though there was not much cheese, however still so good. The pizza was delicious, as usual. Overflowing with cheese and made pretty much to perfection. My only complaints would be that the plates are wet (easily rectified by drying them off with a napkin, no biggie) and it was just a tad to much pizza sauce for my tastes.

I usually love this place, the last time I ordered the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza, a favorite of me. My boyfriend and housemate were eating with me, and we all got very sick that night/next day. Had a bad stomach ache went to the doctor they said it was food poising. I had nothing to eat hours before coming here. I had breakfast around 10am that day and ate here at 4pm. There is no way what I ate for breakfast got me sick. I called to talk to the "manager" the next day all he had to say was "nobody has called about being sick from that pizza, and theres no raw ingredients in it." The manager then proceeds to tell me that it could have been some ingredient that my stomach was not happy with, I reiterated that Ive had this pizza three other times and didnt sick before. I think either that someone in the back didnt wash their hands or there was some uncooked chicken in this pie. I dont think Ill be back again :(

This is the best pizza in the entire state of Utah. I love this place soooooo much. Why is this place the best? Pizza----- The crust is thick in filling. The crust is then covered with a huge quantity of quality cheese. The toppings are always the highest quality best tasting. Atmosphere----- A+ It is a great place to do just about anything. I loving watching football games here. Its perfect for crazy college partiers. Even with that last statement, I still enjoy taking my family here. This place is big enough to be comfortable in large or small groups. The ambience is top notch. Service-------The service here is amazing. The employees look a little rough, but I insist, they are super helpful and friendly. If youve never had a pie style pizza, start here, you wont be disappointed. MY FAVORITE is the BBQ Chicken pizza, Unique but full of flavor!

I went with my family to eat dinner because I heard it was a restaurant. When we got inside and employee told us that they were not taking any more orders because they were so behind. We felt a little embarrassed so we went outside to try to decide where to eat. I wanted to go back inside in case we had accidentally gone to the "to-go" counter and I asked if it was a restaurant where you sit down and order food while someone waits on you? The employee said it was, but (again, from a different employee) "they were not taking any more orders because they were so behind"... In my experience when a restaurant is busy, they will say that "it will be about xx minutes". Apparently they didnt want any of my business... I will never try to eat there again.

Ok no really way to explain it better then this. The food was good but the menu can be a lie to include the staff not knowing what certain pizzas are. I come in to try this place out and ordered what I thought was supposed to be a Stromboli. Which is a folded pizza/ one wrapped in dough. Instead I got a regular pizza and when I asked. Didnt I order a Stromboli they said yes this is it so then I asked arent they supposed to be like this, and showed them a picture of a Stromboli which is like what I explained up top. So there answer was. Not ours so I ask what the hell your menu says what its supposed to be and you know what its supposed to be but yet what I got was still just a damn circle pizza that I could get anywhere.

These guys burned my pizza :( BUT... The Pie has always been a magical experience for me and my wife. So as I drove away frowning at the dry, sad pizza I was to bring home to my hopeful wife I thought "I should call them and have them fix it". I almost didnt, because I felt it was rude. But when I did they BENT OVER BACKWARDS to make it right. They made a new pizza and threw in some delicious cinnamon bread for me to try. It means more to me that a company do this when something is wrong than to always have an awesome experience. The pie they cooked me to make up for it was phenomenal, and my wife will now continue to love me! So thank you for saving my marriage The Pie!

Almost my perfect pizza. Incredibly cheesy, a robust sauce, mega toppings, and a near ideal crust. This pizza is greasy and messy, just the way i like it. It also has some much lighter options as well, like the chicken alfredo and bacon or a couple others like the "veggie". The new place is a little to contemporary for my taste, but it is now large enough to accomodate my larger groups. There grinders are all excellent and well portioned. Even there wings stand out. Not as much as there pizza though. I hate to say they are pricey, more like you get what you pay for. The best pizza in Ogden.

Way overpriced: $43 for 2 pizzas and 1 soda. One gluten free and the other a 12 inch. They got one out right away but didnt hear back from them at all on the 2nd pizza. So I had to go and ask about it. After that they still didnt get the order right several times and over 75 minutes later. I had to watch my family eat ahead of me for an hour. The manager never stopped by to apologize and make it right. They could have offered free appetizers while I waited. They also use poor ingredients. The sausage I ate in the pizza had bones on it. Will be cancelling my credit card transaction. Simply unacceptable.

If you like a deep dish pizza, that is very cheesy, and very greasy, look no further than The Pie Pizzeria. I personally really like it, but this is a pizza that you only need a couple of slices to get full on, and you generally dont want to be eating this pizza more than a few times per month, as it can get a bit overwhelming with all of that grease and cheese. Sometimes I even recommend using a napkin or paper towel, the dab off the pizza bit, before eating it. Its definitely a great pi to eat when you are looking to indulge on yourself, or you just want to have some really delicious and savory food.
