I dont understand how this restaurant has such a high rating. The food here is terrible! Sure it is a lot cheaper than other places, but the quality is nonexistent. I ordered the chicken penne pesto and it was basically a giant pool of grease. It was like they poured a cup of inferior olive oil into a bowl and dumped some penne into it. The chicken was poorly prepared and there were a lot of gristly bits with cartilage stuck on them. The restaurant itself looks so hokey and cheap. The upholstery on the chairs are covered in stains! There were also so many flies inside the restaurant buzzing around and landing on customers and their food. So dirty and disgusting! And those so called amazing Mormon muffins? They are these bland, ugly muffins that dont have anything unique or wonderful about them. You can find much better baked goods at other places. Heck, even Marie Callendars has better muffins than this place which pare supposedly made from scratch! Finally, the service here is awful. The wait staff pretty much ignores you the entire time so that you have to chase them down to get anything! I do not recommend this place and cannot understand why anyone would ever want to eat here.

I love the Greenery Restaurant. My wife and I go there probably once a month for date night. It is awesome. Theres never a long wait (10 minutes max). The last few times we went, there was live music - awesome! We love to sit by the windows that look up at the mountains - it almost feels like youre out of town on vacation since its located at the mouth of Ogden Canyon. My wife loves the Soup, Salad and Mormon Muffin combo and I love the Chicken Penne Pesto or the Thomas Divan or the Avocado Crab Louie. Weve been going there for years and will continue for years. The people are nice and the food is great.

My husband and I came up to The Greenery on Sept. 18, 2015 at 4:30 P.M. There was no one to seat us, so we found our own table. Our waitress was really slow getting to us, so that took about 15 min. There were very few people in there at that time, and a couple sitting across from us said they had been waiting too. Our order took about 20 min. to arrive and it was awful. We ended up leaving. We have eaten there for many years, and have celebrated many occasions there as a family. The food is usually excellent, but we feel its going down hill. Were not sure if we will return. Sad.

Awful food, the pasta is cooked ro death, near mush, the grilled avocado sandwich tasted of peanut butter, I had others at the table try it to confirm, and they agreed. The enchiladas were also mush, the nachos were just chips with a ton of melted cheese served with gross store bought salsa. The only thing that we liked were the muffins we ordered. I would not eat this food again, it seems to be geared towards the elderly, serving extra soft dishes with very little flavor, no thanks.

I dont know what people are talking about. This place is fantastic!! Ive been coming here for years. The charbroiled chicken is so amazing so is the mac and cheese the pasta salad is a classic and the crab and shrimp louie is simply perfect. Youve got to try the mornon muffins and the clam chowder soup also the salad bar is on point! The service was so friendly our waitress katie was such a doll. The sights are phenomenal and its wonderful comfort food!

One of my favorite places to eat and shop. If youve never been there this place is a must see! The shopping here is a sight to be seen, unique things for gifts and for yourself. Decorations that you have to see even if you buy nothing. One of Ogdens historical landmarks. And if youre a quilter, the fabric at Heritage is the best youll find anywhere. Food, fabric, shopping and eating all under one roof. Dont miss the experience!

We drove out of way to come to the greenery today. There were 4 tables including us. We waited 10 minutes. ... ignored so we left. A couple that came in after us was served before anyone even walked past our table. I have many choices that dont require me to go out of my way. I wont be going out of my way anymore!

Fun place to eat. After eating it has two gift shops with lots of unique items. Food is good, maybe a little over priced. Staff is friendly and the restaurant has a bright cheery atmosphere. It could be cleaner. There was food splattered on the lower walls and lots of gunk in the corners by the tables.

I dont get all the hub-bub about this place. Locals say this place is "so great" but I disagree. Ive been here a few times and order different things, and Ive never been impressed. The food is bland. I would say the service is average. The one thing this place has going is ambiance. 2-stars for ambiance.

Fairly decent food. A nice stop to eat and get a souvenir at the immense gift shops attached before you head up the Ogden Canyon. Friendly service thats a little slow. Such a shame that the gift shop has a prettier view than the restaurant (which faces the parking lot).

The greenery has a pretty good reputation in Ogden, but the only thing good to get there is the Mormon Muffins. Eaten lunch there twice now, both times my food was close to inedible. How do you mess up Fettuccine Alfredo? Go there for the muffins. Otherwise, stay away.

Weve been going to The Greenery since I was very young. Its made changes over the years but for the most part it is still the same great food and atmosphere today as it was back then. Definitely try the Turkey Enchilada, its been one of my favorites for years!

This is a unique and inexpensive family friendly restaurant. Also the shops are fun to browse. The food here is always good and fresh. They are famous for their "Mormon Muffins" so try one and my favorite sandwich the Tasty Tom.

Mediocre food. The kids meal quesadilla obviously was cooked first and brought out last- the cheese was like rubber. However, they did not charge me for it. I will not go out of way to go here again. Cool atmosphere though.

Had to try their fresh peach pie, and it was awesome. We would surely go more often if they would put their Chili Willy on the menu full time instead of a couple of months in winter. Whats up with that??

Pretty good food. The prices are a little high. The staff was super friendly. We did have two dishes we had to send back because they were not cooked well, so that was a little disappointing.

Wonderful selection, friendly staff. I love that they offer tea. Ive ordered the fruit multiple times and it always seems fresh. The diner itself is very clean and has a fun vibe.

Reliably good food. Dietary restrictions seem fairly easily accommodated. Salad bar, Soups n sandwiches always fresh. Even the potato chips are delicious.
