There was a lot of really good and a lot of really bad about my experience here tonight and so I wanted to write it while it was all fresh. As soon as I walked into the restaurant, I noticed how loud the live music was. It was a nice touch to have a live band there for a Saturday night, and the band was really good, but the volume was turned up so high that it was painful. My ears are still aching two hours later from it. Unfortunately, we were put at a table right by the live band. We couldnt talk to each other over the music and my ears and head were starting to hurt terribly. Our server, Tevis, was awesome. He gave some great recommendations about the food and was friendly. For the appetizers we got the cheese fries and hog heaven with brisket (Tevis recommended the brisket over pulled pork and I have to second that opinion). The fries were served with some of the best spicy ranch Ive ever had. We asked a worker if it would be possible to turn down the music because, again, it was so loud it was painful and we couldnt talk to each other while they were playing. The worker explained to us that the band had been asked multiple times to turn it down and they didnt want to. It had previously been taken to the owner and the owner didnt want it turned down because it added to the vibe. Let me repeat that: THE OWNER THINKS THAT MUSIC BEING SO LOUD THAT THE CUSTOMERS EARS ACHE FOR HOURS AFTER LEAVING ADDS TO THE VIBE OF A RESTAURANT. The next time Tevis came by, we asked him if there were any other open tables because the music was so ridiculously loud. Tevis was totally understanding and told us a table in the back was being cleared and we could move there as soon as it was finished. The back table was definitely better music wise but the decorations were hella weird. It was wedding pictures, which could be a really cute idea if it wasnt all of the exact same wedding. I think that could have been such an awesome idea if they were vintage pictures or pictures of all the workers or even just random pictures of weddings. Instead, there were like eight pictures of the exact same couple and it just felt... strange. It felt like I was supposed to know who they were, but I really, really didnt. It was distracting. I ordered the mac and cheese with the sides of the cobette and the baked potato. The mac and cheese was creamy and filling. The cobette and garlic toast were incredible and super buttery. The baked potato was nothing special. We also got some dessert. The banana bread pudding was disappointing, because it was banana pudding with vanilla wafers in it. I was expecting... banana flavored bread pudding. We also tried the deep fried pecan pie which was very rich and very delicious. The live band came by to apologize to us for the music being too loud and let us know that after we moved they turned it down a little. They mentioned that the table we had been seated at always has a hard time when theres live music there because of the acoustics. I appreciated the band coming to talk to us, but it made me even more frustrated because if that table is a known problem, it shouldnt be used if theres live music there. All in all, the food was decent to excellent depending on what was ordered. Tevis was super helpful. The owner clearly doesnt respect the customers. I think next time Im craving BBQ Ill be taking my business somewhere that my well being is taken into consideration.

-Ribs had good flavor, but on the dry side. I should have clarified that I wanted St Louis cut instead of baby-back. Why any self-respecting BBQ place even serves baby-back ribs is beyond me. They have so little meat and dry out so easily. -Brisket had fantastic flavor and would have been equally great texture, but it was cut so thin. Its like they ran it through a meat slicer at Arbys. Wouldve been fine for a sandwich. But between two pieces of bread is not where brisket belongs. It deserves a minimum half-inch slice that goes from the plate to your fingers to your mouth. -Mac and cheese was amazing. Best Ive ever had. Would go back just to get it. Definitely worth the extra $1.29. -Coleslaw was fantastic. Tangy and creamy, hardly any dressing leftover at the end. Kudos. -Get the sweet sauce. -Utah County is pretty thin on good BBQ places. Pig City is a big fish in a small pond. A top tier establishment in a growing BBQ culture.

I purchased a GroupOn, to visit this store; I was excited to visit, because there appeared to have been quite a few people that loved this place! I ordered the BBQ feast, which had, a “Full rack of ribs, Half a chicken, Pulled Pork, and Brisket" ...honestly, the ribs were some of the worst Ive ever had -only applebees has made worse- and I was shocked with the inconsistency of flavor with the ribs! The chicken, was actually REALLY good, and I enjoyed it. The pulled pork, and brisket tasted like it was purchased from the grocery store, and then find a way to make it 5x worse. Im sorry to have to write such a poor review, but the food truly wasnt worth revisiting. I dearly hope Im the only one that felt this way, and I hope that theyll improve where they felt short with me! Honestly though, this place wasnt somewhere that I feel Ill be giving a second chance.

We recently had Pig City cater our tailgate with over 40 people. From start to finish the service was amazing. When I walked in the staff was very friendly and answered all of my questions, they were very accommodating with all of my requests. The food arrived on time and was delivered by the owner who was very personable. The food was great we ordered the BBQ chicken pack that came with a pound of another meat. We ordered pulled pork, turkey and brisket, the awesome sauce was incredible, the Texas toast was a big hit, great cole slaw and baked beans that everyone went back for seconds for. We ordered 7 packs and had a ton of food left over. We couldnt have been happier with the results, no cooking and clean up was a breeze. We will definitely be using Pig city again for catering our parties!!

The food is good, but has been better. It is outrageously priced. Four people and the bill was over 100.00!!! Absolutely ridiculous in our mind. We can go to Market Sreeet Grill and pay that! We were just at a nice steak house the other night and it wasnt even that much with alcohol on the bill. And to top it off there is a sign that says pay with cash and get a discount. We paid with cash and Kayla the server didnt offer that option to us after we left we went back in to ask her about that she was not nice about it and said it was a 5% discount she gave us 4 dollars back which 5% of Our bill would have been 5 bucks. She handed us 4 bucks and walked away. Its unfortunate because we loved this place but it is outrageously priced. We wont be back.

We have been here many times especially when it was Rib City. I honestly would have rated it a one star when they first switched to Pig City but it was marginally better on this visit. If you dont compare to R&R or the old Rib City, you will surely love Pig City. The problem in my opinion is that most of the BBQ at Pig City is average in comparison. Its not gross by any means but it could improve dramatically from where it is. Finally, I just want to mention that outside of the ribs the portion sizes are extraordinarily small. The Red Hot Crispy Chicken (a replacement for the old Kickin Chicken of Rib City) is less than half of the size for the same price. Overall it is decent but there are many better BBQ places around now.
