Hostess and servers seemed very overwhelmed and it wasnt even that busy....table next to me was complaining that they were having a horrible experience so I was a bit weary of what my experience would be like. They even sent out a fake manager to help them after the table next to us requested a manager 3 times because their food was cold and incorrect, even the replacement food was cold and they never received their drink order after 1 hr of waiting. We waited over 30 mins before we had a server check in with us, she seemed very aggravated by questions and having to even take our order. Overall food is very flavorful and ambience is very comfortable and authentic, a bit over priced.......but service is the huge issue here, heard numerous guests leaving with complaints about their experience. Once they get people trained and organized this place has great potential

Food is good service is not good. The restaurant looks great and is a fun atmosphere. i have had the chicken chimi changa, and the tamale combo plate both were good. I dont recommend going mostly because of the service. I used to like this place but they are losing regulars over sour cream. If you want a side of sour cream its $2.95 if youd like to add sour cream its .99 cents. what ever. this place was good but I dont feel like that anymore. I came earlier in the week and ordered food waited an hour and was told my food would be out soon, only 3 orders before mine. We left a small tip for the drink service but i didnt wait any longer. i gave them another chance after this nightmare and instead of making things better they ruined this place for me, my friends, and my family. I dont recommend this place.

Waitress was slow to take our order, but once our order was placed, the food came fast. Unfortunately, the food wasnt the type of Mexican we like (spicy). We were a party of ten and the three out of towners were the only ones that thought it was okay. For the rest of us, the food seemed to be on the sweet side for Mexican, and not a single bottle of hot sauce in site. At the end of the meal, I counted 4 plates that were still over half full and each declined the take home trays. If you are looking for spicy Mexican food, go elsewhere. If spicy isnt your thing, this may be the place for you.

We have been big fans of eating here for awhile. But after the passive aggressive "Weve raised our prices because of the minimum wage raise," stickers on all of their menus, we dont want to come back here anymore. You can raise your prices and update your menu, but dont announce how greedy and inconvenienced you are that your employees are now earning a somewhat decent pay. The managers should really be embarrassed for being so petty. I hope their employees can get jobs somewhere where their employers actually believe they deserve to make enough money to live off of.

My wife and I took a chance on the new owners/food for our 10 year anniversary, because our family wedding luncheon was held here! Dean was our server, and we were impressed by his genuine "I want to make sure you enjoy your experience here" attitude, which we did! We had the pork nachos, the beef Enchiladas Monterey (try these NOW), carne asada tacos, and sopapillas for dessert... and of course a dirty Dr. Pepper. ;) Everything was great, and it seems like other reviews about some hiccups during opening week have been worked out. Definitely going again!

My lady and I ate there twice. The food is excellent and the service is very attentive. The green salsa is addictive, best weve ever had. Making a switch from eating at Serranos to Rosas for the best Mexican food weve found to date. Try the corn tamales; they are incredible. That was a year ago! now I do not know what happen to this place. My tamale was hard on the ends like it was wormed up in the microwave, my girls chicken taco changed to a store bought taco shell and no flavour. they must of changed owners wow what a joke!

Definitely NOT the old Tia Rosa. Mood is festive and servers are generally helpful and happy. Menu is a bit full, overwhelming, but doable. Margaritas were definitely NOT made fresh as you could taste the "mix" used. Food was generally good, but the higher ticket items (shrimp, etc) were underwhelming and overpriced for what arrived. 5 grilled shrimp placed on top of rice, beans, and pico is just that and not a specially named dish. Kids options were standard restaurant fare. We were happy going in but left wanting more.

Went for a late lunch on the lunch menu. I thought it was a little pricey for a lunch menu item, but what the heck. Food was excellent and service was quick and efficient. Almost empty in the place. Very quiet. Chips were plentiful and red and green salsas were delicious. We had the burrito enchilada style. Large and well filled, mine was pork - tender and good. Beans were Smokey, rice was flavorful. Wait staff was attentive but not overly. I will try this again on the dinner menu.

Food had good flavor, but my cheese enchilada was served warm - the plate was hot - not the food! I ate it because I was starving - the waiter didnt check with me til I was finished. Good Margarita [almost made me overlook the rest; but not quite]. Itsa Wednesday evening, only about five tables filled - no reason for slipshod service & just ok food. Wont recommend to others; wont return. Havent these people heard theres a ton of competition?

We had heard this was a good place from friends. The waitress seated us and was not very friendly but brought us our drinks reasonably quick. . My husbands salmon was way overcooked and my dish was tasteless. She barely checked with us during the course of our lunch to see if we needed anything. Our bill was 40 bucks and not worth it. We would not go back! Dont let the atmosphere fool you! There are a lot better Mexican restaurants in the area.

We went opening night and didnt expect too much because it was their first night. I did expect their menu to be more restaurant oriented, but it was more fast type to explain if you wanted bean or rice or anything beside your entree youd better order it. I guess I expected my plate to be covered in wonderful Mexican food a d it was rather sparse. Then again maybe that was opening night too. Well try it again.

Spent our evening in the bar. Nice people working at the bar. Queso dip is amazingly good, but lots of cheese grease in it. Definitely not healthy, but soooo good. Quesadilla was good. Dont like their beans (with entree and dip), tastes like BBQ baked beans mixed in refried beans. Doesnt work with Mexican food. Overall, good food (except beans), good service. Well definitely repeat.

Positively the best Mexican food and margaritas in Mesa. The atmosphere is awsome. We love the extensive rustic brickwork. The courtyard with fountain is great there is plenty of room. Sevice is 5 star and Sergio the Manager is fabulous. You cant beat this place. Plenty of parking too, its kind of set back behind the mesquite trees. Loyal customers.
