Roosters Brewing Company and Restaurant. Coming from one of the largest densities of micro breweries in the country Im a bit of a beer snob with a fully adept palate. Then I remembered Im in Utah where beer has a max of 4%. Every time Ive come here I either bring my own beer or drink liquor. This time I decided to try their root beer floats, bottomless. After 2 a gal told me I can switch it up to orange and I did. After 2 more I was ready to switch it up to shots and cocktails. Service was good, but after chatting with some locals it can be hit or miss. My experience was good. I wanted to try their food, but with the advice of a fellow out of town drinker he said go with the appetizers. Wow were the wings good and the onion rings world class, but those are beer food and not cocktail food so my experience could have been better if I had a real IPA or even a true Kolsch (4.2-4.8% is true) I would have tried a meal. This place has really good potential and serves a good need for gastro pub food, but they should make more good that goes well with drink and not beer because they really dont have anything except hoppy water.

POOR TRAINING FROM MANAGERS DOWN TO THE HOSTESS Went in on a Friday and requested my name be put on the list. The hostess (brown hair fake eyelashes) told me that the wait would be 35 minutes. We came back 30 minutes later and asked how much longer the wait was. She was EXTREMELY SNOTTY this time and told us that she didnt put my name on the list because I didnt tell her my name. The first thing I did when I walked up was said "Hi I need to put my name on the list, its Jill". BIZARRE. So I asked to be put where we should be and she said no. I called then manager the next day to talk to him about, and he said he would call me back in the next day or so, after he had talked to the hostess. That was two months ago. We now drive to the Ogden location for great service and food!

It was fine but far from the best place around. My husband and I went there this weekend and it was ok but not great. My husband was disappointed in the lack of choices for sides. The mashed potatoes were ok but plain. The carrots were good but the zuchini was mushy. I ordered a steak and I asked the waitress what medium is there. She told me it would be pink in the middle so I went ahead and ordered it. When it arrived it was blood red thru most of it. My husband ordered Med Rare and there was little difference. I did not send it back because that usually ensures a dry, tough steak. I simply expect a waitress to have a reasonable understanding of how that nights chef prepares a steak.

The wait time is longer than acceptable, even with a reservation. Then the wait time for our food to be served was longer then acceptable. Total time it took for our lunch at this place was about two and a half hours. The food was good but not worth the two hours waiting for it. The atmosphere has a relaxed feel and as well as the slow service. The prices on the meals are high for what you get in quality, service and wait time. On the other hand, meal portions are on point. This place is handicap accessible. I would not recommend this place if time is of the essence and if you have a large group dinning in with you. I will not be a returning customer.

Saturday morning brunch with both $2 mimosas AND $2 bloody Marys? Totally cool by me. They werent weak drinks either. Its a large, spacious, clean environment. If you couldnt tell by the name, they do some of their own brewing here and you can purchase growling to take in order to hold you over on the ride home. The brunch menu seemed fine, but kind of on the heavier side, as did the rest of the menu. No problems though, I think it stands up to pretty much all the other establishments in the area that also have full bars. Good news is its not Chilis, Applebees or Red Robin. Bad news is their menu is very similar...but with a more local feeling?...maybe.

Sat at the bar to bypass the 25 min wait. They had old drink menus out so the beer i requested was no longerm available. I was told it was terrible and lucky they didnt have it. Thanks for the insult of my choice of drink. We then watched the bar tender walk passed us 9 times over 16 min until we were finally able to get his attention to order food. Food was not worth the wait... The wood trim on the bar makes it difficult to actually eat over your plate of food as it adds 3-4 unnecessary inches and your plate is out of reach. Do not recommend Roosters and will not return unless there is no where else to eat. We ordered the Jack Pasta and Philly

Maybe an off night. Hostess wasnt present at the stand on Tuesday. Found her in the wait stand eating. Not snacking / Scarfing food. The lettuce on the salads clearly had been sitting out for a while, dry, warm and limp. We ordered steaks. Southwest Chipotle explained as a cooked steak then sliced, but it was small chunks cooked separately? Some well done, some ok, some just cartilage. The spicy sauce was thin and bland. The baseball cut sirloin was in a cabernet demi glace , but the consistency was like water. Should have a little body to it but whatever. Disappointing at $19 / plate Beer was average.

Great afternoon treat at Roosters Brewery. Wife and I stopped in around 12:30PM on a Friday for lunch. We had Patio Pilsner and Bees Knees Honey Wheat - Both very good. From the Starters menu we saw the Half Rack of Lamb Appetizer Half a rack of lamb cut into chops, served with cabernet mint demi-glace and Pepperlane jalapeño preserves. This was outstanding! Four chops with mashed potatoes, carrots, zuchini in a cabernet sauce. The lamb was cooked perfectly!! It turned out to be plenty of food for us both. The service was quick and cheerful. The enclosed patio was a perfect setting for lunch.

Ordered a cheese crock appetizer and tuscan beef medallions. Food was.. decent. Not really worth the $40 for two people, but nothing was bad. However... The waiter was terrrrible. 5-10 mins to ask for drinks, 5-10 to bring them. A good 15-20 to bring out the appetizer, and completely forgot about the salads. Food came out immediately after the appetizer. When he apologized and said he would have the salads comped after we finished eating, he took another 15 to bring the ticket. Oh and the comp was the military discount (15%) which I already get. Thanks..... Not going back

Went with a group and we all ordered appetizers I got calamari which was cold and overpriced for quantity. My friends buffalo wings were cold. The hummus I had to say was amazing and I got the fish tacos and they were cold flavorless and that unfresh fish taste which they got my order wrong I asked for blackened and it was not blackened just the food period is overpriced and the dishes I got were bland and cold and everyone agreed at our table.good environment though.
