This place is a little hole in the wall cross the street from McDonald on Pat Booker Road near Randolph Air Force Base I found it by accident I was getting ice and I heard the music then I drove by and then I fell in love its a little mom-and-pop shop Puerto Rican and Dominican and the food ie D for delicious Im satisfied every time its always made fresh and theyre not stingy with the portions like some of the places in San Antonio that try to pass for fine dining an are all about the money this spot will leave you with your belly full and your heart Happy I love this place its my favorite sincerely. First time to eat here. Unfamiliar with menu & did not speak the language. With help, we ordered from the special lunch menu. A soup, Sancocho with rice & Chicharrones de Pollo (fried chicken) with salad & Mofango. The soup was well seasoned & delicious. The service was friendly & quick. Several times staff checked to see if everything was ok. Seating capacity inside of restaurant is small but it is tastefully decorated. Outside there is a dining area. The restaurant & restroom were clean.

The food is great as well as the place. The owner and the staff are very friendly. I highly recommend it. La comida es rica, el sitio tambien es bueno y el dueño y los que trabajan ahí son bien amigables. Se los recomiendo.

My fiance and I tried several items here. The empanadas were crispy and light shells with a delightful meat filling that was hearty without being too heavy. The Morongo w/ the crisper pork was mouthwateringly delicious and the Caribbean style fried chicken was awe inspiring. The wait staff was open and friendly but there is a language barrier so be patient as the food is well worth it.

Never got to try any food because while I waited for my appetizer, the young owner decided to express his opinion that Fidel Castro "no era malo" (he was not bad). Keep your ignorant politics to yourself or do real research to find out Fidel was a criminal.

Drove almost 40 minutes just to eat here!! The service and the food was super great!! Really great experience. The owner was so helpful and they let us stay a little past closing. Just a great family restaurant.
